What people are saying:

Fanjingshan is a unique place. Just make sure you plan the entire day when you want to walk up (start 9am) and take off at 12 at the latest when taking cable car. Walking, enjoying and queueing (yes..) on top takes time. Be prepared for crowds but at 5pm (one hour before the cable car suspend service) its getting empty and the indulging can unfold:)

A really nice day's outing from Tongren city, Guizhou province.

I have visited this mountain on a number of occasions. It's a great introduction for friends who come to stay at our home in nearby Tongren city. On cloudy days you should not be deterred from doing t...

One of the most unusual mount I’ve visited

This was one of the most memorable places I’ve ever visited. Mostly because of the shape of the mount itself and a temple right on the summit of it. When you finally make it to the top, you’ll see th...

Additional Information

Mount Fanjing is famous as both a summer retreat and a Buddhist mountain. It is rich in flora and fauna, including rare species like the gray snub-nosed monkey and the dove tree. Take the sightseeing car from the entrance gate to the aerial tramway. Take the tram and then continue walking, and you will see the magnificent “Mushroom Rock,” a rock formation that has stood tall on the mountain for 1 billion years. To the left of the mountain peak is Red Cloud Golden Peak, and to the right is Old Golden Peak. Both make beautiful photographs.
