"Hoh Xil" means "blue mountain ridges" in Mongolian. This place is named "Achin Gongjia" in the Tibetan language. The Hoh Xil Nature Reserve is currently one of those regions in the world where the original ecological environment is well preserved. It is also one of the nature reserves in China that has a large area, high altitude and abundant wildlife resources. With an extremely cold climate and harsh natural conditions, Hoh Xil is known as a "forbidden zone for human life," where human beings cannot survive for very long.
