天门洞位于天门山国家森林公园内，门洞高131.5m，宽50m，是世界海拔最高的天然穿山溶洞，也是天门山最具有代表意义的景点。“天门吐雾”、“天门霞光”被人誉为举世罕见的景象奇观，999级上天梯不但是通达天门的途径，更是许愿祈福的灵地。 在每年的冬季，由于下雪道路结冰，天门洞以及通往天门洞的通天大道(99个弯的盘山公路)都会关闭。

Tianmen Cave is located in the Tianmenshan National Forest Park. It is a natural mountain water-eroded cave and a representative site of Tianmen Mountain. The local people think that people can reach heaven directly from here. This is also a place where local people make wishes and pray. Tianmen Cave stands northsouth. "Tianmen Spitting Fog" and "Tianmen Sunglow" are hailed as rare spectacles of the world.
