About Memorial Hall of the Victory of the Anti-Japanese War and the Acceptance of the Japanese Surrender

The Memorial Hall of the Victory of the Anti-Japanese War and the Acceptance of the Japanese Surrender is located in Huaihua City's Zhijiang County. It is the site where the Chinese received the Japanese surrender at the end of World War II. It is also a memorial hall on the topic of the victory of the Chinese war of resistance against Japan. The main building of the memorial hall is the Memorial Gate of the Surrender. It is in front of the Plaza of the Surrender. The Memorial Gate is known as the "Chinese Arc d'Triomphe." Engraved on the gate are inscriptions of leaders from the Warlord Era such as Chiang Kai-Shek, Li Zongren and He Yingqin along with the phrase "Memorial to the Surrender at the Zhijiang River."
