I think there are older comments in the evaluation. I went to Shikong Dafo Temple in November 2016, because it was the off-season. That day, there were only two people in Dafo Temple, my wife and I, and it was a very quiet place. It's a pity that the grotto was badly destroyed, and a three-story building was built on the edge of the original site. There is a museum next to it, which contains the unearthed colored paintings of the Ming Dynasty. The distance is relatively long and it is very inconvenient if you don't drive by yourself. Overall it is worth seeing. Upload some photos for everyone to see.
Along the Baolan Railway to Zhongwei, I saw the sign of Shikong Great Buddha Temple on the side of the road, and passed through a small tunnel under the railway. This is where the Shuanglong Grottoes are located. The scale is small, but it is well preserved. It is recommended to pass by. do not miss it.
Shikong Big Buddha Temple is located in Zhongning County, a subordinate of Zhongwei City, Ningxia Province. It is known as the "Hometown of Chinese Wolfberry". Some places were under maintenance when I went, and the building has a sense of history! You can go and see if you have time.
If it is a self-driving tour, it is okay to stop by, but there is no need to go there specially.
The temples and grottoes are under repair, and they have not yet formed a scale. Numerous clay sculptures excavated in the grotto are displayed in the exhibition hall. Not far from the back mountain, you can see the ancient Great Wall.
