Zhujiajian Island's Guanyin Cultural Park is one of the six major scenic spots in Zhujiajian. It is famous for the painted murals of the Guanyin statue on the 114.9-meter-high Gan Zhang cliff, known as the "Mogao Caves on the Sea". In history, Zhujiajian was a temple property of Mount Putuo. From the Kangxi to the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty, Mount Putuo monks cultivated the land, built ponds and enclosures, and established temples and hermitages here, becoming an important supplement to the Mount Putuo Guanyin pilgrimage site. Legend has it that Guanyin Bodhisattva jumped from Mount Fodu to Putuo River, and the footprints of the Bodhisattva are still visible on the mountaintop, adding to the charm of Mount Putuo.
