Trip.com Self-Transfer Package Guarantee

A self-transfer package includes several flights combined by Trip.com into one itinerary. These flights are operated by different airlines that do not have a shared ticketing agreement. After booking, this package will be separated into several bookings and the tickets will be issued individually. A self- transfer package may require you to complete entry/exit procedures, collect your baggage, and check in again when transferring. Please ensure you have the necessary travel documents/visas for the countries/regions where you will transfer.

This is a special transfer ticket. Trip.com will provide specific coverage for issues with your flight transfer that occur due to flight changes, cancellations, or delays.

What Else is Offered

    If your new flight is scheduled for the following day and you have a wait of more than 8 hours, we'll help with accommodation costs (calculated on a per room per night basis)

    Basic: Max. US$50

    Premium: Max. US$350

  • Meals and Refreshments

    If your new connection time is over 4 hours, we'll help with the cost of meals and refreshments.

    Basic: Max. US$15 (per passenger)

    Premium: Max. US$30 (per passenger)

What You Need to Do

If you are happy with the alternative travel plan provided by Trip.com (http://trip.com/), we are delighted to offer allowances to help cover the cost of meals, alternative transportation, and even accommodation.
  1. If a flight change or cancellation occurs, you must inform Trip.com of the situation either by phone, online service chat, or email. If we are informed by the airline of a flight change or cancellation, we will contact you in advance.
  2. When we provide you with an alternative travel plan, you just need to reply to us within 24 hours; either accepting the plan we provided or proposing your own alternative plan.
  3. When both parties reach an agreement, an alternative travel plan will be provided by Trip.com. If, under circumstances covered by the guarantee, you are permitted to purchase alternative fights yourself through third-party channels, you must provide proof of payment within 14 days of the date of arrival at your destination according to the original fight schedule.
