This exhibition explores the Christian path through the art and imagery of the Fraternal and Loving Faith societies of the Archdiocese of Granada, highlighting how tradition touches upon the most important aspects of our spiritual life.

The character of Cascamorras, much like a medieval juggler, engages in a traditional and harmless battle with the residents of the bazaar and Guadix. Every September, Guadix and the bazaar in Granada province celebrate one of the most anticipated times of the year—the Cascamorras festival. This festival dates back to the Middle Ages, when the appearance of a statue of the Virgin Mary sowed discord between the two towns. Ultimately, the statue remained in the bazaar. To celebrate this event, every September 6th, a clown dressed as Cascamorras departs from Guadix for the bazaar, aiming to steal the statue. Meanwhile, the bazaar residents try to stop him, throwing paint at him and chasing him wildly through the streets. On September 9th, when Cascamorras fails to take the statue, he returns empty-handed, enraging the local residents who then pelt him with paint again.
