About the Film:
No Other Land [2024 / 92 minutes]
Academy Award Winner: Best Documentary Feature 2025
Basel Adra, a young Palestinian activist from the community of Masafer Yatta, has been fighting his community’s mass expulsion by the Israeli occupation since childhood. Basel documents the gradual erasure of Masafer Yatta, as soldiers destroy the homes of families — the largest single act of forced transfer ever carried out in the occupied West Bank. He crosses paths with Yuval Abraham, an Israeli journalist who joins his struggle, and for over half a decade they fight against the expulsion while growing closer. Their complex bond is haunted by the extreme inequality between them: Basel, living under a brutal military occupation, and Yuval, unrestricted and free. This film, by a Palestinian-Israeli collective of four young activists, was co-created during the darkest, most terrifying times in the region, as an act of creative resistance to Apartheid and a search for a path toward equality and justice.
Aurora Film Society
Since 2018, the Aurora Film Society (AFS) has been broadening our community’s collective horizons by screening great movies together. When we make our film selections, we are looking for movies that our subscribers would not normally have had a chance to see, award-winning films, or films with some historical significance. As a 501(c)(3), we do not take any political stance. However, we are excited to have the opportunity to show a film that is both Oscar-winning and not readily available for viewing as a special event for the community.
We screen our regular offerings every third Wednesday of the month at The Venue.
To see our current schedule & past movies, visit aurorafilmsociety.org
For questions and/or to subscribe, please email aurorafilmsociety@gmail.com

We are dedicated to a variety of strategies including organizing our own actions, as well as elevating and supporting the actions of other local groups.

KASHMIR - The Led Zeppelin Show | THE VENUE
Apr 26, 2025 (UTC-5)
Aurora
The Venue
is proud to present
KASHMIR - The Led Zeppelin Show
on Saturday,
April 26th
.
DOORS = 7pm | SHOW = 8pm
~ Advance Admission ~
Premium Reserved Seating = $25
General Admission = $20
~ Day of Show ~
Additional Door Charge = $5
~~~~~~~~~~
⭐
KASHMIR - The Led Zeppelin Show
⭐
KASHMIR
was formed in late 2001, after guitarist
Frank Livingston
decided to form a show based on substance and feel rather than just fitting the suit. "
It is important to look the part, but way too often tribute bands seem to forget that
without the sound, the look does nothing
".
KASHMIR is a very entertaining show bringing only the best of
LED ZEPPELIN
to a
family oriented event. KASHMIR seeks to re-create the experience of a
70's Zeppelin
show utilizing authentic vintage stage gear, costumes, and special effects
, with great
attention to detail in a non pretentious way.
But most importantly, KASHMIR does not take liberties on improving the music. Led
Zeppelin should be played as it was using only the equipment of the era, and should
be reproduced dead on with great respect and admiration.
"
It's not about us, it's about
Led Zeppelin
"
.
KASHMIR performs Led Zeppelin's entire catalog including Led's Zeppelin's classic
movie,
The Song Remains The Same
.
This is an invitation to arrive, lay down, rest and practice the art of
receiving
while healing sounds and vibrations of gongs and other beautiful instruments are played with loving, conscious intention.
But the experience does not end there…
As the sounds echo in your cells and soul, the journey will continue by gently inviting you to ignite your own inner vibrational medicine.
There will be an intuitive flow and each group of gatherers create a different soundscape. We may:
-shake
-sing/chant
-sound
-move
And more….
This is a dynamic element to experience the potential of igniting your own vibrational healer and feeling the power of participating in the
co-creation
of healing sounds. You are always welcome to remain laying on the floor and continuing to receive.
As the journey flows from stillness to movement, after being immersed in the rhythm and sounds, we will come back down to the ground to tune into our hearts with more soft & supportive sounds to begin
radiating
the energy we have awoken within and then out into the world.
This is an offering, not a performance
with the intention to help you feel:
-restd
-relaxed
-renewed
-connected
-grounded
I look so forward to immersing ourselves together in the frequencies of beautiful energy and sounds to support our wellbeing and nurture our spirit.
