BODYWEAVE is an immersive, community-based performance art experience that delves into the realms of selfhood and communion. This multimedia event, taking place on January 26, 2024, in Oakland, invites participants to embark on a transformative journey through the exploration of sensory awareness and the power of collective empathy.

Presented by multimedia artist DPNY in collaboration with queer, grassroots BIPOC artists, organizers, and culture workers, BODYWEAVE aims to create spaces that celebrate Indigenous, Black, and other racialized peoples. The Weave, an intricate tapestry of spiritual threads that connect individuals and communities, is at the heart of this performance.

The evening begins at 6:30pm with doors opening at 815 Alice Street, Oakland, CA, USA. It commences promptly at 7:00pm, and participants are kindly requested to commit to the full 1.5-hour experience. Once the doors close at 7:00pm, no late entries will be permitted.

During the event, attendees will be exposed to a captivating multimedia performance that explores the essence of communion and selfhood. This will be followed by a guided tactile experience with clay, inviting participants to engage with their own bodies and tap into a profound sense of presence.

Between 6:30pm and 7pm, nourishing food and beverages will be available for attendees to enjoy, fostering a sense of communal nourishment. Additionally, an intermission will offer further opportunities for refreshment.

Tickets for BODYWEAVE are available at the door, with a sliding-scale pricing system ranging from $12 to $25. The event welcomes all individuals who are ready to journey into The Weave and engage with the spiritual processes of self-discovery, collective empathy, and resilience.
