Join the Make a Zine Workshop in Alfreton Library, located at Severn Square, Alfreton, DE55 7BQ. This drop-in event provides an opportunity to get creative and make handmade zines while envisioning the future of the Amber Valley. Led by various early-career creatives, each workshop is a unique experience suitable for all ages. During these arty workshops, participants will craft zines in response to the question, "What can we make together that will shift us towards better futures?" The zines created will be displayed on the brand-new zine shelf at Alfreton Library for everyone to admire. Immerse yourself in these workshops to learn the art of zine-making and share your innovative ideas for a more radical and creative future in the Amber Valley.

No need to worry about booking tickets, as the workshops are free and follow a drop-in style. Simply pop into Alfreton Library whenever it suits you, and stay as long as you like. The workshops will take place on several dates, including Tuesday, October 24, 2023, from 10am to 12 noon, and Saturday, December 9, 2023, from 1pm to 3pm. Additional dates are Saturday, January 6, 2024, from 1pm to 3pm, Wednesday, February 21, 2024, from 10:30am to 12:30pm, and Friday, March 22, 2024, from 5pm to 7pm. Additionally, there will be a one-off online workshop on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.

Can't attend a workshop? Don't worry, you can still get involved. Alfreton Library provides materials and activity packs during its opening hours, allowing you to create your very own zine at your convenience.
