Nami Island Discounts – Getting to Nami Island from Seoul🚙
Conveniently located for a day trip or a weekend trip from Seoul, it's not difficult to get to Nami Island on public transport.
🚃If you're on the subway, wherever you are in Seoul, you'll be heading toward the 💚Gapyeong Station💚. From Seoul Subway station, for example, the journey lasts just over an hour, with a change at Yongsan.
🚅Alternatively, you can take the ITX Cheongchun at Yongsan, which will take you directly to Gapyeong, cutting a bit of time off your journey. For this option, it's recommended to book your ITX ticket in advance.

Nami Island Discounts – Getting to Nami Island from Myeongdong
Firstly, from Myeongdong Metro Station, you can actually hop on Line 4 (the blue line) and ride it 5 stops south to Sinyongsan. From there, walk over to the Yongsan Station and you'll be able to board the ITX-Cheongchun 2029 to Chuncheon – an hour's journey and 4 stops will take you to Gapyeong.
Your second option is to take Line 4 from Myeongdong Metro 3 stops north to Dongdaemun, then change to Line 1 for 4 stops until you get to Cheongnyangni (University of Seoul). From there, it's only around a 10-min walk to Cheongnyangni where you can pick up the ITX-Cheongchun to Gapyeong.
The third option is to take a walk over to Lotte Young Plaza, then get on a number 261 bus up to Cheongnyangni Station Transfer Center. Then you can do the same as above – board the ITX to Gapyeong from Cheongnyangni.
But there is an even more exciting way to cross the water and arrive on the island. 💚How does a 940m-long zip-line sound?💚 This zip-line can take you and your traveling companions across the river, from Nami Island Wharf to the island itself, at speeds up to 56 km/hr!
The price for the zip-line is KRW44,000 per person, and that's inclusive of the entrance ticket to the island as well as the return ferry at the end of the day. This is an exhilarating and unique way to make your arrival on the island! Not for the fainthearted!
