If you're carrying luggage, there's no sidewalk leading to the hotel, which is quite inconvenient. There's also a lot of traffic, so you need to be careful. The hotel offers a free tuk-tuk every half hour, and the drivers are very friendly. One time, even though we had missed the departure time, a driver kindly gave us a ride to Thong Lo station when he saw us walking. The room was spacious enough, and the bed was large. The cleanliness could be improved a bit. The staff were friendly. The room had toothbrushes, slippers, a microwave, and a refrigerator. There's a large 7-Eleven just a 2-minute walk to the right from the lobby entrance.

Had a fantastic stay! They offer not just breakfast, but also late-night snacks, and the late-night spread was incredibly generous. The happy hour drinks by the pool were buy-one-get-one-free, and they even had free Thai costume try-ons with a wide selection of accessories. Plus, there's a shuttle service that takes you near the subway station. The overall environment was very clean. Next time I'm in Bangkok, Thailand, I'll definitely choose to stay here again.

Overall, the stay was pleasant. We received two room cards upon check-in, which was very convenient for two people as we didn't have to constantly wait for each other. The location is excellent, very close to the BTS station, making it easy to travel to various attractions. There's a 7-Eleven downstairs, which is handy for grabbing drinks, late-night snacks, or daily necessities. Additionally, if you need to do laundry during your stay, there are several self-service laundromats nearby within walking distance, which is very convenient for longer stays. Overall, the biggest advantages are the convenient transportation and good amenities. If you're primarily visiting Bangkok for tourism and plan to use the BTS daily for your itinerary, this is a very convenient place to stay.

I booked this place for two nights. I saw other reviews saying the accommodation was clean, but for me, the bathroom was quite dirty, as if the housekeeper hadn't cleaned it at all. There were stain marks on the walls and the sink was also stained. However, the duvet and bedsheets were quite clean. On the second night, the housekeeper forgot to provide towels, so I called reception to request some. But after a long wait, no one brought them up, so my partner had to go down to get them himself. The towels for the second night also had a musty smell. The swimming pool and gym were pretty decent for the price. I booked a room with breakfast, and the breakfast was fine. The staff at the restaurant provided excellent service; they were very cheerful, especially a female staff member who took great care of us, and the male staff member who drove us to the main road was also very helpful. Overall, it was quite okay, but I have to deduct points for the cleanliness of the bathroom, as it seemed the housekeeper hadn't cleaned the walls at all.

The beds in the room felt smaller than 1.3 meters, more like 1.1 meters. But that's just my feeling as a woman, which might not be accurate. When we booked, we requested two standard rooms with 1.3-meter beds, but upon arrival, we only got one king room and one standard room. This meant I had to sleep in the king room with my two children, which was very uncomfortable. Luckily, they switched us to a standard room the next day. The breakfast was decent, and the location is great. There's Chulalongkorn Night Market nearby for browsing, and plenty of massage parlors. If you're interested, you can also visit the labs inside Chulalongkorn University. The front desk staff and bellhops were all incredibly friendly and helpful.

The location is very convenient as it is just a stone's throw away from Asok BTS and Sukhumvit MRT. My original booking was for jacuzzi room but it was under maintenance when I arrived. They did upgrade me to a bigger room. The staff are always very welcoming and friendly. There are great food options from cafes to local food. And Terminal 21 is just a 5 minute walk away. The quickest way from the airport if you are traveling light i.e. Carryon luggage is to take the airport rail to Makkasan Station and walk to Phetchaburi MRT. Take one station to Sukhumvit MRT use the skywalk at Asok BTS towards Nana BTS and take the stairs down on the right. After that, it's just a 2 minute walk to the hotel.

Stayed 2x weeks, it’s Located at 7-10 mins walks to Pom Phrong BTS, which is a big far in case of rainy days or at afternoon which could be scorching hot. But hotel provide half hourly shuttle which complimented this inconveniences. The only problem is limited seat for shuttle🫠, only single shuttle. If you missed have to wait another 30mins or walk back or take Grab😔. There is onsen inside the hotel which make this hotel very very special to me. I truly enjoy and like the onsen features. Another stood out thing is the social Night event every Monday-Wed evening, for an hour free flow of drinks and snacks, something impressed me, unique for this hotel. Though I did not patron every single day. I ate out every night regardless of this, it is a nice place to chill and socialise there. In-room washer make the long stay very pleasant and convenient, so as plenty of drinking water provided. There is no scenery view from hotel due to its location. The breakfast is average , where in some days below average. I truly enjoyed almost daily their swimming pool and onsen, just the operating hours only start at 7am which is a bit late. If could start at 6am instead would be perfect, else it will be a bit rush after use , prior go to work at 8am. The services was excellent. I would rate it 4 star instead , gates by its location and breakfast spread/ food. Aside from this they deserve 4.5star. Will stay again in future if visit BKK again. Oya, there is mini Japanese grocery minimart below the hotel, provide almost most of daily necessities, if you need it. There is pharmacy and 7-11 in opposite road and Tops besides it. Few atas massage shop near by with higher price, further down to BTS you could find cheaper one.

Its location directly opposite the new One Bangkok mall and next to the MRT makes exploring effortless.My only critique is the check-in process. For a flagship 5-star property, making guests stand in a long queue to wait for room cards feels outdated. It would be a massive improvement if they offered arrival drinks or let guests sit comfortably in the lounge while the keys are being processed. Hopefully, management can look into this to match the high standards of the rest of the hotel. Still highly recommended!

The hotel is located in the Sukhumvit area. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. During my first stay, the room was nice and well equipped with everything I needed, including large bottles of shampoo and body wash, a hair dryer, a kettle, tea and coffee, a wardrobe, and a small working area. However, my experience during my second stay was not quite as good. There was a small hole in the door, which made me feel a little uncomfortable, although it was not possible to see through it from outside. The sink was also clogged. The staff were very helpful and immediately sent someone to fix it. When it could not be repaired, they kindly upgraded me to a family room. Despite the issues with the room, I was very impressed with how the staff handled the situation and took care of me. The location is also convenient, with a 7-Eleven and several restaurants nearby. I would stay here again if I needed to attend a meeting in this area. The only downside is that the surrounding area can feel a little unsafe or uncomfortable when walking alone at night.

The only issue with this hotel was the slow Wi-Fi. If you're staying here, you might need an unlimited data plan. The entire hotel staff was incredibly proactive and attentive, and they could communicate in basic Chinese. We checked in around 3 or 4 AM, and all our check-in documents were already prepared for us, making the process very efficient. The lobby can help receive food deliveries and packages, and collection is also very meticulous and convenient. The room space was ample. Although the facilities were visibly a bit dated, they were very well-maintained. There were quite a few mirrors, and when my friend expressed some concern about the room's decor, they promptly helped us adjust it. The bathroom had a slight odor, but it was within an acceptable range. There's a 7-Eleven right downstairs from the hotel, and the location is very close to both the BTS and the Airport Rail Link, making it very convenient to get to the city center.

The room is excellent and can be an outstanding if the furniture is renewed. Honestly, the only comment on the room is the old wooden furniture (yet it's good) and the need for refurbishment and renewal of bathroom design to be more aligned with the hotel image. One of the outstanding things that the hotel offers for guests ( mainly Muslims) is that it provides Qibblah direction in the room ( can be found in the working desk drawer). Hotel location is very excellent and within walking distance from many major shopping malls, like world central that's only 5 minutes walking distance.

The room's ceiling was a bit low, and the interior was quite basic. The bedding wasn't very comfortable (old linens, soft pillows), and there were signs of wear and tear. Ventilation was poor, making clothes prone to smelling after washing. Breakfast was discounted for guests, and the price was the same for adults and children, offering good overall value for money. The pool was quite large, but the service and facilities were rudimentary. In the changing rooms, two sets of staff came in to change towels and empty bins while I was showering, completely disregarding guests wrapped in towels and trying to hide in a corner as they came and went multiple times. The hotel's most outstanding feature is the lobby, with its modern minimalist style and Japanese garden water feature, surpassing the public areas of most Pullmans. It's about a 10-minute walk to the BTS stations in front and behind. There's a food court on the upper floor of the duty-free shop next door, and if you walk through King Power to the back street, you'll find coffee shops and 7-Eleven. Both BTS stations also have popular Thai restaurants and coffee shops nearby. I probably won't stay here again.

Overall, we really liked this hotel. We booked for two nights. Let me start by saying we booked a room in the space zone and were assigned to the 70th floor. The view of Bangkok from the room is impressive, especially in the evening after dark. The room itself is quite spacious. Yes, the rooms and furniture are old, very old actually. But the room is cleaned very well. It's very clean, with white bedding. For two people, there were six bottles of water, and tea and coffee making facilities. There's a kettle. There are also bathrobes and slippers, which are very comfortable with soft soles, by the way. A nice bonus is the pretty good toiletries in the bathroom. And another pleasant surprise was a small fruit plate upon check-in. I should mention that my husband and I accidentally went up to the 60th floor, got out of the elevator, and it smelled terribly of cigarettes, as if someone had been smoking right by the elevator. There were no such smells on the 70th floor. The rotating open observation deck is a delight in itself, and it's beautiful to watch Bangkok by night. In general, the presence of observation decks and photo zones is a big plus for the hotel. For that alone, you can overlook the shortcomings of the old rooms. I also want to highlight the hotel's location. It's very convenient for getting to/from the airport. There's a direct metro line. It's about a 10-minute walk to the hotel. Right next to the hotel is, of course, the Indian quarter. If you like Indian cuisine, it will be very convenient. But there are other cafes too. There's a large shopping mall just a 20-minute walk away. It's about a 30-minute taxi ride to the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (but that's with traffic). Check-out from the hotel is by 11:00 AM, which is a bit early compared to other hotels. Keep that in mind. But there's a late check-out service for 200 baht for each additional hour. So overall, I can recommend this hotel if you're prepared to accept the nuances mentioned above.

Stayed at W Bangkok recently and had a mixed experience. The room itself was nice and comfortable, with a cozy bed and decent overall cleanliness. The hotel is located in the CBD. The staff saw I was traveling with a child and upgraded us to a larger room for free. Although it's in the city center, it's very quiet. The breakfast included Chinese-style dishes, and the service staff were warm and attentive. Be sure to try the spa! Banyan Tree's in-house essential oils are fantastic, and the therapists are very professional. I enjoyed a special package (90 minutes for around RMB 800, which also included afternoon tea on the 45th floor). The surrounding area is also very convenient. Just a heads-up: durians are not allowed back into the hotel! It's a good idea to download a translation app, as most of the hotel staff speak English and Thai... Fresh fruit was replenished daily in the room. Even though it's an older brand, it still stands strong, which shows that Banyan Tree definitely has its unique charm!!!

This was my second chance of redemption visit to The Standard hotel. The aesthetics and friendly staff here are what made this visit OK! But compared to other 5* hotels in Bkk this is missing some service touches. No welcome drink/room gift, no one by the pool with free water unless you order something from the bar and then they bring water... Makes the experience feel budget star. 4 bottles of comp water in the room is not enough once you use two bottles to make coffee, a preference on coffee capsules would have been nice... I didn't think to request in advance all decaf. There was also no milk to go in the coffee. I didn't want to go through the efforts to request more as I was busy. The hotel music is somewhat better than others but does feel like ai sludge after a day of sitting poolside. The pool felt uncomfortably busy at late afternoon sunset hours. If you want to tick this hotel off your list 1-2 nights is enough, the beds are super comfy, although mine squeaked sometimes, and the linen was top quality, as we're the super fluffy soft bathroom towels -then nicest I've felt in a long time! The nearby soy silom 5 market is a delight but closes by 2pm!

This hotel is truly fantastic! Even though it's not brand new, the quality of materials used is exceptional. Exploring the hotel feels like wandering through a museum, with every display piece having its own unique story. The garden maintenance is superb, and every detail is meticulously taken care of. The staff are incredibly kind and friendly, even asking if you need more bottled water. They offer a shuttle boat to the BTS and ICONSIAM, and the route is similar to a river cruise, so you save on that expense 👍. A taxi from the airport to the hotel cost less than $400, and from the city center back, it was under $200. The breakfast was so delicious that I gained 1 kg in three days 🤣. There's a mall and a supermarket across the street for food and supplies. I highly recommend taking the gym classes; the yoga instructor was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, the booking was non-refundable, and to upgrade to a better room, we would have had to pay extra. The only thing worth praising was the Trip.com customer service. They helped us get compensation from Trip.com, which allowed us to continue our stay for the next few nights. The service was excellent. The front desk staff proactively offered us a twin room when they saw we were a family of three and had the beds pushed together. In the evening, when we couldn't find our way to the pier, a staff member from the swimming pool kindly walked us there. When we returned to our room at night, we found that the housekeeping staff had placed white mats under my cosmetics and other items on the vanity, arranging them very neatly. The service truly was exceptional. There are two swimming pools, and the hotel is very close to Sathorn Pier. The only downsides are that the room facilities are a bit old. Overall, we really liked this hotel. We booked for two nights. Let me start by saying we booked a room in the space zone and were assigned to the 70th floor. The view of Bangkok from the room is impressive, especially in the evening after dark. The room itself is quite spacious. Yes, the rooms and furniture are old, very old actually. But the room is cleaned very well. It's very clean, with white bedding. For two people, there were six bottles of water, and tea and coffee making facilities. There's a kettle. There are also bathrobes and slippers, which are very comfortable with soft soles, by the way. A nice bonus is the pretty good toiletries in the bathroom. And another pleasant surprise was a small fruit plate upon check-in. I should mention that my husband and I accidentally went up to the 60th floor, got out of the elevator, and it smelled terribly of cigarettes, as if someone had been smoking right by the elevator. There were no such smells on the 70th floor. The rotating open observation deck is a delight in itself, and it's beautiful to watch Bangkok by night. In general, the presence of observation decks and photo zones is a big plus for the hotel. For that alone, you can overlook the shortcomings of the old rooms. I also want to highlight the hotel's location. It's very convenient for getting to/from the airport. There's a direct metro line. It's about a 10-minute walk to the hotel. Right next to the hotel is, of course, the Indian quarter. If you like Indian cuisine, it will be very convenient. But there are other cafes too. There's a large shopping mall just a 20-minute walk away. It's about a 30-minute taxi ride to the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (but that's with traffic). Check-out from the hotel is by 11:00 AM, which is a bit early compared to other hotels. Keep that in mind. But there's a late check-out service for 200 baht for each additional hour. So overall, I can recommend this hotel if you're prepared to accept the nuances mentioned above.

The room and bathroom are beautiful too (Room is cleaned up nicely, bathroom flooring does get wet all over, still very nice) A few minutes walk to the malls around Siam as there are bridges connecting to most of them (if not all) Cute eating/chilling area downstairs. ordering food off grab was also easy as there is a drop-off area for the food downstairs. If you’re looking for a good, quiet and close to amenities area, this would be it. :-) Thank you for your services and lovely pool and neighbourhood kitties.

We did find one small cockroach in the room (on the 17th floor). It wasn’t a major issue, but it’s worth mentioning. The bathroom also felt quite old and could use some renovation. It wasn’t immediately clear which tap was for cold water, so some clearer signs or instructions would be helpful. The water also took quite a while to heat up. There were also a few paint stains on the floor, although they were completely dry and didn’t cause any problems. The bed, however, was absolutely amazing. seriously, one of the softest beds I have ever slept in! If you like very soft mattresses, you will probably love it. The location is the biggest advantage of this hotel. It is incredibly convenient for getting to the airport: you can simply take the train and arrive at the airport in about 40 minutes without any transfers. Perfect for a short stay before or after a flight. The staff were also friendly, welcoming, and always smiling, a good option for a short stay in Bangkok, especially if convenient airport access is important to you.
