The location is super convenient. You can take the Route 3 bus directly from the airport to the hotel entrance, and several major attractions are also accessible by public transport. Plus, it's right next to the bustling Canberra Centre shopping mall. However, the soundproofing isn't great. On Saturday night, around 11 PM, motorbikes were racing past with a really loud roar, and it didn't quiet down until about 2 AM. I could also clearly hear the sound of water running when someone showered next door. Sunday night, though, was very quiet. Overall, the hostel is quite clean. There's a projector on the third floor, an outdoor area on the top floor to relax, and multiple fridges on the first floor if you want to cook your own meals.

1. The location is great, right in the heart of Canberra city center, near Canberra Centre, making it convenient for both shopping and dining. There's a bus stop right downstairs, though it's a bit of a walk to the light rail station. 2. They offer triple rooms, which are perfect for families of three, and the price is reasonable. The per-person cost is quite acceptable for Australia. 3. The room was pretty clean, and the soundproofing was excellent, making it very quiet. 4. The front desk service was decent; they were willing to help with any issues. We were even allowed to check in early, before the official check-in time. However, you'll need some English proficiency, and occasionally the front desk staff isn't present. 5. The facilities are quite comprehensive, including a kitchen area and a fridge. But since the hotel has been open for a while, some of the in-room amenities show signs of age. 6. The windows don't open. 7. Slippers and toothbrushes aren't provided, and the shower gel and shampoo had a rather odd scent. 8. The duvet situation was still very strange: it's the kind where two sheets sandwich the duvet insert, which seems to be a common feature in Australian hotels.

Stayed at Crowne Plaza Canberra and overall had a decent experience. The hotel is very clean, including the room and common areas, which we appreciated. However, the hotel does feel a bit dated, particularly the bathroom — the shower and bathtub would benefit from an upgrade. The reception staff were friendly, polite, and professional, with smooth and efficient check-in and check-out. Breakfast was acceptable but had limited variety (see video). The location is a plus, right in the city and next to Holey Moley and the entertainment arcade, making it convenient for families with kids. Overall, a clean and well-located hotel, though showing its age in some areas.

The location is fantastic! If you're taking a FlixBus, it's right next to the station, and also very close to the local bus stop and train station, making it super convenient to get anywhere. There are also plenty of different restaurants nearby, so you definitely won't go hungry – the only problem is deciding what to eat! Room was good however the bed was small. Also, the tv barely can play a local news as the screen keeps on freezing. In addition, the bathroom floor was sticky. I was ones in room 3 and 5 and noticed the same thing, it’s as if they don’t properly clean the floor tiles. This time I was in 145 and the bathroom/toilet floor was sticky. Otherwise they have free coffee at the reception which was good.

The hotel is located to the north west of the city centre. Though it is a bit far from the city it is quite convenient, there’s a supermarket (woolies) nearby. Parking is difficult but they provide parking for extra fee per night with unlimited in and out. The hotel is clean, quiet, comfortable and sufficient for our travel purpose to attend an event nearby. I like the double beds (two separate beds) option but this type of room only comes with a disable-friendly bathroom. I wish their double beds are bigger in size and they have a regular bathroom option with a bathtub.

I recently stayed at Abode Belconnen and honestly couldn’t fault a single thing – it was a perfect 10/10 experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed, not just as guests but as pet parents. Finding a truly dog-friendly hotel that still feels modern, clean, and a little bit luxurious is so rare, but Abode nails it. The room was spotless and beautifully designed with a calm, contemporary vibe. It didn’t have that “pet room” feel that some places have – everything looked and smelled fresh. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the linens were crisp and felt super comfortable and high class. What really impressed me was how easy they made travelling with my dog. They provided everything we needed, and had a dog toilet area on level 5 (Sunset photo i posted). Staff were helpful and never once made me feel like traveling with a dog was a burden. The location is also super convenient with shops, restaurants, and even a Woolies just downstairs, plus secure parking. It’s one of the few hotels I’ve stayed at that manages to feel both practical and stylish. If you’re looking for a dog-friendly place in Canberra that still feels like a quality stay, Abode Belconnen is honestly unbeatable. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend

The overall experience was good. I ordered a two-bedroom apartment, which is a two-bedroom shared toilet. Please write it here for everyone who wants to order. The environment is nice and quiet, the rooms are relatively clean and tidy, the daily necessities provided are relatively complete, and the price is relatively high. The only drawback was that there was a problem with the water heater in the room at that time. There was always no hot water in the bath, but it was reflected to the front desk, hoping to resolve it as soon as possible.

Haha, this hotel definitely requires a bit of an adventurous spirit to stay at! It was built in 1926, so it's celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. In the lobby restaurant, there's a very old manual plug-in switchboard. The hotel's past life probably wasn't as a hotel; it gives off more of a government archives vibe 😂. The room facilities are a bit dated, especially the carpet, but there's a certain echo of the 1950s. The bathroom is quite small, and the shower area, in particular, seems like it would be a squeeze for anyone a bit larger. Canberra gets really cold, so it was a thoughtful touch that the hotel provided extra blankets. Overall, I think you need to have a bit of a nostalgic appreciation to truly enjoy this kind of hotel. The service, however, was quite good.

Good hotel with decent amenities and an excellent location, but the staff experience was extremely disappointing. We were travelling with a young child and requested a late checkout. They informed us it would be $30 to extend beyond 10 AM, so we agreed. We checked out at 11:45 AM, only to find they had charged $60, which felt unreasonable and misleading. On top of that, housekeeping knocked 3-4 times, and their behaviour was shockingly rude. One staff member even said, “You have 2 minutes, just get out in 2 minutes,” which was completely unprofessional. I’ve stayed in many hotels and have never encountered staff speaking or behaving like this. 0/5 for staff behaviour. If you care about service, I strongly recommend choosing a more reputable hotel. If you’re on a tight budget and only want to stay near Parliament and don’t mind compromising on service, then this place might work - but be prepared for poor staff interactions.

Great hotel. Two big towers of rooms, great views from the windows. Wi-Fi is good. Everything very clean. The light rail (tram) is right outside so it's easy to get around. There's a small convenience store and a takeaway place right next door but otherwise you need to take the tram up or down the track to get food. No complaints at all. GGuest UserGreat hotel. I was booked four nights but extended to stay longer.

The hotel was fancier than I expected it to be! I loved the design -- it reminded me of the Guggenheim in NYC. The room was also nice. I got the most basic room, and it was honestly more luxurious than I'm used to. This is a definite must stay if you're coming through Canberra.

Great stay overall! The hotel is strategically located just a short walk from the tram station, which made getting around super convenient. The staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with good facilities. Breakfast was also a highlight, plenty of options and really enjoyable. A nice touch was that I was even able to borrow a microwave for my room, which was surprisingly convenient. The only small downside is that there’s no free on-site parking. However, they do offer overnight parking for $15, which is quite reasonable. Alternatively, there are free or affordable street parking options nearby. Would definitely stay again!

Sadly, got a room in the middle of the building with absolutely no view whatsoever, but the apartment was nice and clean and it had everything that you need! The water pressure was good too, which is a plus, and the receptionists were really friendly!

The location is fantastic! If you're taking a FlixBus, it's right next to the station, and also very close to the local bus stop and train station, making it super convenient to get anywhere. There are also plenty of different restaurants nearby, so you definitely won't go hungry – the only problem is deciding what to eat! (´▽`) Although the hotel isn't brand new, and the water sometimes cuts out briefly when showering at night, it has all the necessary facilities and a great location, so I'd still highly recommend it.

Stylish hotel with a central location. Recommend the atrium rooms as the sun room we were in faced the busy highway and was quite noisy. The aircon also seemed to have issues. Watch out for parking, it’s relatively expensive and the street parking nearby doesnt do overnight unless you are leaving before 6am. Otherwise a pleasant stay.
