      large king room,nice clean carpets, comfortable bed and room smelling lovely. Shower room was very up to date , lovely tiles and large shower. There was microwave and a few plates , glasses bowls and cutlery, kettle, very small pump pot . Small milk on the fridge and some biscuits . Had to use water jug to fill the kettle from the bathroom sink. Difficult to wash dishes and no sign of washing liquid although dish towel. Minibar included soft drinks complimentary . Room49 was pet friendly and set up with dog bed and 2 pet dishes and easy outside access . Room service was very good - tapas Breakfast was wonderful . Sat on the outside deck because of the dog.Pool fantastic .

      The design is reasonable, and there are not many rooms in the two bedrooms. It is a double staircase. Estimated to be in the second floor room. The luggage has to be moved by itself, there is no elevator, it is a little tired. However, the privacy of the hotel is good, but the blinds are blinds, and the shading is not good.

      Here, like the resort, we live in studios, pots, pans and pans, suitable for small days, feel like opening a retirement, there is a laundry room, bbq area, swimming pool, a lot of local children come to vacation with skateboarding The car bike is riding, very comfortable. And it's really a summer resort, and the summer evening is so cold, you must bring your trousers.

      Wonderful little English pub turned chalet hotel only a 5 minute stroll to the main road of the town centre (Bussell Hwy) Staff were very helpful, although had very short access to them. (Front desk closed at 6pm) We enjoyed a wonderful meal from The River Bar and Bistro down stairs. Their whisky, gin amd wine list is pretty awesome. There is a bottle shop conveniently located next door too and its directly opposite the MR Recreation / Aquatic Centre if you wish to exercise before heading out on a wine tour. We loved the spacious fridge for storing all of our cheese and wines. We loved having a bath to soak in after a long day exploring the forests. We can't wait to come back and stay again!!

      We arrived in Margaret River earlier than expected, for a four day stay. Eager to explore the town, we asked the owner Steve if we could check in early. He was very accommodating, moving the 1400 check-in to 1300. Whilst waiting we took a one minute stroll to the Brewhouse around the corner for a bite and a pint. The next morning Steve presented us with a map of the area, and pointed out all the points of interest, and what to do. We followed his advice and saw the lighthouse in Augsta, and on our way back visited Mammoth Cave. Afterwards a quick wine at a vinyard. During the next three days we took many a five minute walk into town to pubs and restaurants, and went for short drives - so much to see. We enjoyed our stay at the Edge of the Forest Motel. Thank you Steve for your hospitality and advice.  We will be back to see the rest we could not get to. And if we may, we would like the same splendid furnished room and friendly service again please!

      The hotel rooms are very large and the internal facilities are good, but there are not many public facilities to enjoy. The location is considered to be at the end of the town, but the town is not big, and it is not far to eat and shop in the town. The breakfast was awful. There were only Western-style bread, milk, coffee, and the like. There were no other hot Western-style foods. We were not used to Chinese breakfast. We didn’t even have any interest in the free breakfast for two nights.

      “You only get what you pay for” and unfortunately that saying came to past when we stayed at this resort booked through Luxury Escapes. It had all the makings of a great deal, a self- contained unit 500m from Gnarabup Beach, a free bottle of wine and all that Margaret River had to offer in close proximity, but things slowly started to turn sour on arrival. Our unit was situated in the back block of the resort which, appeared to me, was allocated mainly for travel agent package deal customers and, which was the only choice on offer. The Manager mentioned that they were only 30% full at the time, so perhaps he could have offered us better unit? Our parking area was mostly empty and consequently the empty parking bays were filled with roles of carpet, some of which encroached on our bay and caused some inconvenience when getting in and out of our car. Apparently carpets were being replaced in the units, which would explain why we were given a so-called bargain, but we were not advised of that fact previously. As for the free bottle of wine, we were only given one upon request. It was not all doom and gloom for us, as we were impressed with the cleanliness of the room and bathroom and the kitchen was well equipped. I would not recommend the bed to vertigo sufferers as the mattress was not firm and bounced excessively. The water was not hot for a shower and in the kitchen. We did complain to the Manager the next morning and the problem appeared to have been fixed briefly only, because the following morning the shower was cold again. One can only assume that we were allocated a unit with a known faulty hot water system. Unfortunately, our stay there did not have a happy ending for us - accommodation with no hot water is a definite put-off and damper to a holiday.

There was microwave and a few plates , glasses bowls and cutlery, kettle, very small pump pot . Small milk on the fridge and some biscuits . Had to use water jug to fill the kettle from the bathroom sink. Difficult to wash dishes and no sign of washing liquid although dish towel. Minibar included soft drinks complimentary . Room49 was pet friendly and set up with dog bed and 2 pet dishes and easy outside access . Room service was very good - tapas Breakfast was wonderful . Sat on the outside deck because of the dog.Pool fantastic .

The luggage has to be moved by itself, there is no elevator, it is a little tired. However, the privacy of the hotel is good, but the blinds are blinds, and the shading is not good.

And it's really a summer resort, and the summer evening is so cold, you must bring your trousers.

      Wonderful little English pub turned chalet hotel only a 5 minute stroll to the main road of the town centre (Bussell Hwy) Staff were very helpful, although had very short access to them. (Front desk closed at 6pm) We enjoyed a wonderful meal from The River Bar and Bistro down stairs. Their whisky, gin amd wine list is pretty awesome. There is a bottle shop conveniently located next door too and its directly opposite the MR Recreation / Aquatic Centre if you wish to exercise before heading out on a wine tour. We loved the spacious fridge for storing all of our cheese and wines. We loved having a bath to soak in after a long day exploring the forests. We can't wait to come back and stay again!!

      We arrived in Margaret River earlier than expected, for a four day stay. Eager to explore the town, we asked the owner Steve if we could check in early. He was very accommodating, moving the 1400 check-in to 1300. Whilst waiting we took a one minute stroll to the Brewhouse around the corner for a bite and a pint. The next morning Steve presented us with a map of the area, and pointed out all the points of interest, and what to do. We followed his advice and saw the lighthouse in Augsta, and on our way back visited Mammoth Cave. Afterwards a quick wine at a vinyard. During the next three days we took many a five minute walk into town to pubs and restaurants, and went for short drives - so much to see. We enjoyed our stay at the Edge of the Forest Motel. Thank you Steve for your hospitality and advice.  We will be back to see the rest we could not get to. And if we may, we would like the same splendid furnished room and friendly service again please!
