The value for money isn't great, and while breakfast was okay, the room's soundproofing was terrible. The two most annoying things were: 1. To visit the Imperial City, I had to check out early. I couldn't even get a 30-minute late checkout; the male front desk staff said I'd be charged a late fee if I checked out at 12:01, and his attitude was very poor. 2. There was a very friendly girl at the front desk who spoke Chinese, suggesting many Chinese tourists, but surprisingly, among all the national flags on the lobby's background wall, displayed like the UN, the Chinese flag was conspicuously missing. I wonder what grudge the hotel has against China; I don't believe it was an oversight. In any case, I will absolutely never stay at a hotel under this brand again. I've lived abroad for over a decade, and while I'm not overly sensitive politically, certain principles must be upheld.

🌿 A peaceful and unforgettable stay at Pilgrimage Village I stayed here during my solo trip to Hue and this was by far my favorite hotel in Vietnam. The resort is quiet, spacious, and beautifully designed — a true retreat from the busy world. The staff were warm and professional, especially Ngoc Ha, the manager, who handled everything with great care and flexibility. I felt truly welcomed. My room was cozy and comfortable, and the swimming pool was absolutely relaxing. I enjoyed their “buy 2 get 1 free” cocktail offer while sitting by the pool — such a peaceful moment to just unwind. Dinner was delicious with options for buffet or à la carte, and the restaurant team was very kind and attentive, which made me feel safe and cared for as a solo traveler. Breakfast had many choices, including authentic Vietnamese drip coffee, which was a nice touch. The resort also has great facilities and feels like amazing value for what it offers. And don’t miss their spa! I booked a 2.5-hour session and left completely refreshed. Quiet, clean, and very professionally done. I’ll definitely stay here again the next time I visit Hue. Highly recommended for anyone looking for peace, comfort, and great service.

Upon arrival, we found that the setup was actually two small rooms with an open section between them, rather than two fully separate rooms with a connecting door. While this wasn't the exact layout we expected, it didn't bother us at all since we were only staying for one night. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Location is great. Sadly, good things ended here. Room that I’d was on the second floor. It’s quite run-down and strange design. It had a giant kind size bed with little space to walk around. Dresser had a loud squeaky sound whenever I opened it. Outside AC units were so loud that I couldn’t fall sleep. I even shut my room’s AC.! Luckily, I brought a pair of earplugs. Overall, it wasn’t a pleasant stay.

Amazing hotel, I'll definitely be back! The location is great, nestled among rice paddies with a lovely, expansive property. Breakfast was incredibly delicious with a huge variety of dishes, and as a coffee lover, I was very pleased with the coffee station. The hotel is very cozy, and the staff are incredibly helpful and speak good English. The room is very spacious and clean, with everything you need, great water pressure, a smart toilet, and most importantly, a very powerful air conditioner. There were always plenty of sun loungers by the pool, and you could get towels for free. I truly felt like I was in an excellent 5-star hotel here.

My family and I spent the entire Chinese New Year holiday in Hue, and Anna Mandela Beach Resort brought me a great surprise. We have stayed at 4 resorts in total (including one in Hoi An). I personally think that Anna Mandela is the most surprising of these four, and the one with the most comprehensive cost performance. From Hue Railway Station, my family and I have enjoyed the meticulous service of Anna Mandela. Although the train was more than 3 hours late, as soon as we got out of the platform, the driver gave us cold towels under the hot sun. And drinking water. An aunt from France welcomed us at the front desk. She was very kind, friendly and dedicated. Her personal behavior set a high standard for the service of the resort. She happily introduced us to everything about the resort and every detail of the room, as if she was sharing with us the treasure she is proud of; when she found that there were only two ice cream vouchers in the room, she quickly went back and gave them to my daughter Last one; she treated me and my family like friends, so that I would think that I was a guest at her house, not a hotel. Anna Mandela Beach Resort is small and exquisite. Although it is a distance from the city of Hue, this means that you can enjoy the magnificent and peaceful Shun An Beach. The sand on the beach is very thin and gentle. You can walk to Far away from the sea. The free shuttle bus provided by the resort can satisfy any exploration of Hue and it is also convenient for you to enjoy the rich nightlife of Hue. Although I booked the most basic room type, even the most common room type was very satisfying. The rooms and bathrooms were large, with simple Southeast Asian style wood decoration, warm and comfortable. There is a huge platform and a soft lounge chair in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows. It also has direct access to the garden and swimming pool, and is only a few steps away from the beach. My six-year-old daughter loves the blue swimming pool. She spends the whole day in the swimming pool. The swimming pool is very clean and few people. My daughter is also particularly obsessed with catching crabs on the beach. I would like to add some marine sports, such as kayaking, surfboards, standing rowing boats, etc. I have regretted that I only stayed two nights at Anna Mandela. If I come back next time, I hope to stay for a week, so that I have enough time to slowly taste the quiet and blue beauty here, and the food in the restaurant. .

Our stay here in Hue was honestly fantastic, starting with the unbeatable location - you step outside and literally everything you need is right around the corner. The room itself was a major highlight. We absolutely loved the panoramic windows, and the blackout curtains were top-notch, letting us actually sleep in without the morning sun waking us up. The level of cleanliness was impeccable across the board. The bed and pillows were decent and comfortable enough, but I do have one practical suggestion for the management: they really need to switch to proper fitted sheets. Using flat bottom sheets that constantly pull up and bunch together during the night is just annoying and takes away from the otherwise premium feel of the room. The breakfast was a total win. The buffet is gorgeous, offering a massive and incredibly diverse spread of delicious options to kick off the day. The only real curveball was the check-in experience. Instead of a warm, welcoming vibe, the front desk staff immediately hit us with a rigid list of ”rules and don'ts” in a surprisingly abrasive and almost rude tone. It definitely lacked that essential hospitality touch. Management really needs to coach their team on their delivery and customer service etiquette. But honestly, aside from that initial weird interaction, we had absolutely zero complaints. It’s a beautifully clean, well-located spot with a killer breakfast.

The hotel is not in the city centre, but that's why we choose it ..... for the tranquility and the quite environment. The establishment is impeccable, we pay around HK$8xx, and have to admit this is very good value (even considering not much facilities). The restaurant team are awesome, very attentive, eagar to assist in a warm and welcoming manner. We went for breadfast daily, and from the second day, they remember our breakfast drink! The spa, much room for improvement...... considering the price, really would not expect ”smelly” bath robe (the price is around 2 to 3 times the price one pay at a spa parlour locally). During my stay, the hotel is under a planned renovation construction (we were told) - work is going on even over the weekends, that was very unfortunate. Especially we are looking for a quite hotel! I really think they should state at the booking portal and let people know! The most disappointing part is, the reception team were recommending car service to us (for our return trip to Danang). The original price quote was US$92. We booked. On the departure day, we were asked to pay, the bill was shown in VND (local currency) and I noticed there are service charge and tax applied. So I ask if the US$92 included the service charge and tax. The reception gentleman was slight agitated and say something like ”every body knows service charge and tax are applied to bills in Vietnam”. We were then checking the bill and tried to figure out if the US$92 were inclusive of the service charge and tax. While we were doing that, the reception gentleman told us, yes, the US$92 were already including the the service charge and tax. We were a bit itimidated then, and not wanting to further ruin our holiday mood, so we paid and leave. The car trip was very pleasant and the driver was very polite and attentive. When we are home, we check the bill again, and find out, we paid around US$112 for the trip. (ie, the originally quote price US$92 is not inclusive of service and tax. More so, the reception gentleman that explained the price to us, was either uncompetent or dishonest!

The service at Ancient Hue Garden Houses was incredible! Everything was nice and helpful. They even called us to see if we wanted breakfast and they extended the availability by an extra hour. The hotel is really beautiful, with a mix of traditional royal architecture and French colonial. There are two pools and two restaurants as well. The location is near the Imperial City by a stream in a quiet area of the city. It was a great respite to the bustle of motorbikes in the city center. I highly recommend it.

We love this place. We had a beautiful spacious wooden cabin with a balcony overlooking the Pearl River. Phi, the manager looked after us splendidly and could not have done more. We locked ourselves out, he came up in his buggy, we forgot something, he came up in his buggy; he had a cooked sliced steak take-away breakfast with dragon fruit ready at 6.45am and a taxi. Thank you Phi and team! We come back one April to see the tombs and pagodas we missed.

This is so far the best ever resort I've had the pleasure to stay at. From exclusive and delicious food, to a delightful Spa, this resort has everything you need or want. The restaurants: Moomba, Rice Bowl, Rice Bar and Saffron, offer a wonderful selection of dishes suitable for lovers of meat and fish, and also suitable for vegans as well. The pool is incredible and has a nice little bar. The staff members are beyond friendly and caring. They remember your names, they always ask about your stay and they pay close attention to all of your needs. Especially, I'd love to mention Hien, who was very kind and caring, Linh, a wonderful lady, making sure we had no issues during the stay, and Trinh, who was a joy to talk to when we visited the golf facility. This was my first time staying at a Banyan Tree property and my first trip to Vietnam, so I was excited yet a little nervous. The experience turned out to be unexpectedly amazing, truly exceeding all my expectations. While this hotel isn't brand new, all the furniture and bathroom fixtures are impeccably maintained. Compared to other brand hotels I've stayed at recently, like the Westin in Phuket or even the Dusit Thani in the Maldives, Banyan Tree's brand standards are consistently stable and thorough. They offer twice-daily housekeeping, daily small gifts, and snacks, and on the last day, a bubble bath and romantic setup for two – all delightful surprises. Since our villa was on top of the hill, the buggy service was always prompt. Every staff member offered genuine, smiling service, incredibly patient, and even with limited English, there was none of that typical 'customer service' fake smile you often see in the hospitality industry. The spa truly deserves a special mention; I tried both the Banyan Tree and Angsana sister hotels' spas. The techniques were professional, the therapists put in great effort, and it was excellent value for money. I visited the spa four times during my seven-night, eight-day stay and still wanted more. Words can't express how highly I recommend it. I'm actually a very picky person, and a germaphobe, and over the past two decades, I've stayed at various five-star island resorts across several continents. This time, I'm truly grateful because it was a last-minute decision – I only booked and paid in September. After the trip, my initial apprehension turned into gratitude and satisfaction. I must say, Banyan Tree has won me over. I hope to try their properties in China this year.

I had a great time staying at this hotel. I am certainly not rich, but the staff here here made me feel welcomed, appreciated and important. Nothing was too difficult for the staff, they went above and beyond to help or to give advice, even booking daily travel and limo bus to my next destination. I've never had a door opened or my bags carried before, I felt important. Need laundry done, they took care of that also. Need money exchanged....they took care of that too. The hotel is located a little out of the Hue city centre so you will need your own transport or pay for taxis. There are a few shops and restaurants nearby but the choice is limited. The room is enormous and very comfortable, even if some furniture is looking a bit tired. The pool is great for relaxing after a day's sightseeing but gets very busy with local children around 4pm. On 2 of the 3 nights I stayed, there were very noisy parties in the restaurant between 5 and 7pm with karaoke and kids being encouraged to have screaming competitions. It was at least quiet in the evening.

Overall we liked the hotel. We lived on the first floor. When we entered the room we felt the smell of moisture, but after the ventilation it became much better. Ask the second floor room, I think there will be better. Hotel is not new, but we really liked the place, among the garden, on the river bank, in the distance of the city noise, but the cycades are noisy all night. We didn't bother, slept with an open balcony. Water is hot without interruption, mixers new. The hotel is located in the middle relative to the imperial city and tombs. You can order dinner in the hotel, the prices are very adequate. Money can also be exchanged in the hotel, the course is good. Helped with renting a moped. The staff of the hotel is very tries, thank you very much. !

I was very surprised when I arrived to Niki's homestay , which is very close to the city center , that it was facing a beautiful green field with a few cows. This first impression set the tone for the whole stay which was homey and welcoming. The place is spotless and every thing including the rooms seems brand new. Super quiet and felt ultra safe. The neighbourhood is also very nice and friendly. Both the landlady and the receptionist were very caring and helpful. I highly recommend this property.

Sue’s Homestay was a fantastic stay, room is nicely decorated, has aircon and is very clean. Location is perfect and central yet not noisy. Furthermore the lady (I presume Sue) was very sweet and accommodating. Would highly recommend. Our stay here in Hue was honestly fantastic, starting with the unbeatable location - you step outside and literally everything you need is right around the corner. The room itself was a major highlight. We absolutely loved the panoramic windows, and the blackout curtains were top-notch, letting us actually sleep in without the morning sun waking us up. The level of cleanliness was impeccable across the board. The bed and pillows were decent and comfortable enough, but I do have one practical suggestion for the management: they really need to switch to proper fitted sheets. Using flat bottom sheets that constantly pull up and bunch together during the night is just annoying and takes away from the otherwise premium feel of the room. The breakfast was a total win. The buffet is gorgeous, offering a massive and incredibly diverse spread of delicious options to kick off the day. The only real curveball was the check-in experience. Instead of a warm, welcoming vibe, the front desk staff immediately hit us with a rigid list of ”rules and don'ts” in a surprisingly abrasive and almost rude tone. It definitely lacked that essential hospitality touch. Management really needs to coach their team on their delivery and customer service etiquette. But honestly, aside from that initial weird interaction, we had absolutely zero complaints. It’s a beautifully clean, well-located spot with a killer breakfast.
