038038The Fairmont, one of Accor's top-tier hotels, despite its age, is meticulously maintained. The room provided six complimentary bottles of water, and upon returning after dinner, turn-down service had been completed with a glass and water by the bedside. Used coffee pods were also replenished – truly 5-star service. Thank you for the birthday cake service as well. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, offering a rich variety of international dishes. I would love to stay here again if I ever visit Manila. The location is excellent too, with a large shopping mall right across the street that includes a supermarket and shops selling Filipino goods, making it easy to buy souvenirs.

They prepared a small amentity cake for us when they were informed we were traveling to celebrate us.
At the front desk, everyone greeted us warmly and helped us a lot throughout our stay. Concierge left us a little confused because they struggled to answer back in English and gave us the wrong information on where to buy sim cards.
We had the breakfast package for two. You were given meal cards that you had to present when you went to eat breakfast. Once you do, the lovely servers would guide you to a table and asked if you would like any coffee or tea. They would walk around and clear any empty plates to make sure you don't feel crowded at the table.
We ordered drinks at the pool bar and the bartender was lovely to talk to. Despite it being just us there he welcomed us to the hotel and asked what we wished to do in Makati. Once we talked about food he began talking about many restaurants around the hotel that he believed we would enjoy. Please give him our thanks because we went to the restaurant (Manam) he recommended for good Filipino food and we absolutely loved it!
The security at the hotel was very friendly and made sure everyone was safe and okay.
Overall, our stay was fantastic and would recommend any of our friends and families to stay at the Makati Diamond Residents!
Guest UserGuest UserI booked this hotel very very last minute for a solo trip to Manila and it turned out to be an amazing and incredibly affordable stay. As i was booking quite late, they only had the twin rooms (w/ two single beds) available but it was totally fine with me. The bed was super super comfortable. The staff were so hospitable. The hotel felt safe and secure. Your wishes to not make up the room are respected if you don't want that. Pretty nice gym in the basement that had everything I needed for a holiday workout and a pool on the roof with great views. The only downsize is that the pool isn't that bit so if there are more than 2 other ppl in there with you, its already a crowd. Not a big deal.
I didn't realize that the hotel is a few blocks from the red light district until a few nights in as you don't get that sense from the immediate area. I would 100 times out of 100 stay here again, it has my recomendation.
BaobeihuliBaobeihuliExtremely satisfied! Excellent service, great environment, and complete facilities. The massage, in particular, was incredibly comfortable – the kind that makes your scalp tingle. The staff were warm and thoughtful; they even wrote down everyone's names for me when I left. I'll recommend it to all my friends visiting Manila. Most importantly, the hotel area is very safe, so we weren't afraid to go out at night. We arrived in the morning and check-in wasn't until 2 PM, but they saw we'd been waiting a long time and upgraded our room type.

Manila experiences terrible traffic from the afternoon until late at night, so keep that in mind when planning your trips. The staff is very polite and helpful. The pool turned out to be a bit smaller in reality than it appeared in the photos, but overall, everything is solid and good. I've attached photos of the view from our room and at the pool. I recommend the massage offered at the hotel; they have good therapists.AerkeleisimayingAerkeleisimayingJust wanted to give some feedback, so many things went wrong. When I checked in at 12 PM, they gave me room 2303. I went up, but couldn't open the door for a while, so I had to go back down. After waiting for quite some time, they gave me another room, 2304. I noticed it was a twin room, and the beds were tiny, like 1 meter wide? If they were bigger, I would have just dealt with it since I was exhausted from traveling all day. But they were really too small for what I paid; I might as well have stayed at a regular guesthouse. If I asked the front desk to change rooms again, I'd have to go back down and wait at least 20 minutes. The front desk kept telling me to wait, even after I told them I booked a room with two large beds and showed them my reservation. They still made me wait, and wait, and wait. Then they told me to go back to my room and wait. I asked how long, it felt like forever. I even thought about trying to push the beds together. Anyway, I put up with all that, but then there was no hot water for my shower. I was naked, waiting for them to come and fix it for over 10 minutes. It's now 2:15 AM.
Also, there was no comb, no slippers, no shower cap, and no cotton swabs.

There was no fresh scent in the room, and the beddings smelled old and unpleasant. The mirrors appeared stained, the faucets were cracked, and the elevators were dirty.
There is nothing wrong with staying in an old hotel, but proper maintenance and cleanliness should always be a priority, regardless of the hotel’s age.
The only good thing about this hotel was the Jacuzzi, but even that was disappointing because I found hair in it, which made me question whether it had been cleaned properly.
When I arrived, several things in the room were not clean, and the toilet bowl was not working. They had to call a handyman to fix it, which was inconvenient and disturbing, especially when I had just checked in and wanted to rest.
I also asked the front desk to have my room cleaned, but I waited until 4 PM, and nobody from housekeeping showed up. I even found hair left behind by the previous guest, which made me question whether the room had been cleaned at all before my arrival.
Another major inconvenience was the absence of a telephone in the room to contact the front desk. Whenever you need something or have a concern, you have to go downstairs in person, which is very inconvenient.
On top of that, the hallways and elevators smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, making the environment unpleasant. There was also trash in the common areas, which added to the overall impression that the hotel was not being properly maintained. Furthermore, the noise from the karaoke made it difficult to relax and enjoy a peaceful stay.
The location is good, but unfortunately, the cleanliness, maintenance, and overall guest experience were disappointing. An old hotel can still provide a comfortable and pleasant stay if it is well maintained. However, cleanliness, proper facilities, and a peaceful environment should be basic standards in any hotel. Sadly, my experience fell far below these expectations, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who values cleanliness, comfort, and good service.

The service throughout the stay was commendable, and the team was exceptionally helpful. When I experienced a couple of room issues—specifically a tight bathroom/room door that was difficult to open due to seasonal expansion and an air conditioner that leaked water overnight—the staff immediately offered to let me change rooms. While I appreciated their promptness and chose to stay put, guests shouldn't have to face these kinds of upkeep issues in a hotel of this international brand standard.
