Real Guest Reviews about Serengeti Accommodations
"This is the most INCREDIBLE hotel I have ever stayed in. The elephants visited the watering hole twice a day, at one point we counted 40. No hotel will ever compare. Its truly magical. The food is incredible, the staff are incredible and the location is incredible. We saw, Elephants, lions, water buffalo, Zebra's, baboons, and Giraffes all from our balcony. At the time of our stay there was even a hippo sleeping in the watering hole all day. Alex and Victor served our food and drinks, they're a credit to the Four Seasons. Salam was our game driver. Salam is outstanding, he made sure we saw everything, and bent over backwards for us. We loved having Salam drive us around and we will miss him. The room cleaners were also incredible, from folding clothes to untangling electrical leads...there was nothing they wouldnt do. I recommend staying here during the dry season, September time. You will not be disappointed. I also recommend a watering hole room. We stayed for four nights, this was the best thing we have ever done. We will never be able to top this holiday. Thank you to everyone at the Four Seasons."
"Lovely hotel with amazing views . Friendly, welcoming staff that can’t do enough for you. It has a lovely pool with a bar and waiting staff . Would definitely return ."
"I wouldn't recommend booking this camp! The advertised price looks cheap, but there are many hidden fees, so be very careful. The camp itself doesn't have its own safari vehicles; all safari services are outsourced to third-party rentals, which means there's a risk of not finding a car. The camp then charges a 100% commission, and after adding various surcharges, the total cost ends up being higher than many other camps in the same area that offer much better conditions. The accommodation is very poor; the tents are simple and cheap. The shower water pressure is extremely low, and there's hardly any hot water. If you're looking for a low price and have a tight budget, the basic conditions might be acceptable. However, with all the hidden fees, there's absolutely no value for money. For friends planning a safari in Tanzania, I suggest comparing other camps and not being misled by the low prices advertised for Kenzan Mara Camp."
"The location is quite unique, right inside Serengeti National Park, near habitats of lions and elephants. It's truly an experience where you can see animals passing by your tent both at night and in the morning. However, since it's in the middle of the savannah, don't expect too much from some of the facilities and supplies. Water and drinks are charged, and the shower water wasn't particularly stable at night, but everything else was great! The hotel staff even took us on a short walk through the savannah with a Maasai guide to watch the sunset."
"I had the most epic vacation at the Africa Serengeti Ikoma, and would a 100% recommend it to anyone wanting to experience the ultimate peace; enjoy fresh air; see tons of animals — also at your doorstep. The staff at the lodge is second to none — super helpful, kind, caring, genuinely interested, very helpful, and to top it all off — our driver, Mr. Godlisten was an absolute gem. He picked us up from the airport, spent the entire week driving us around and showing us all the animals — from cheetah family to more than 20+ lions across 3 game drives to many many more wildlife encounters. I’m so thankful and can’t praise Godlisten highly enough for his driving skills, his kindness, and all the interesting stories he shared. A couple of key tips: bring cash and don’t rely on credit card machines (there’s no connection in the bush); go during the ‘wet’ season in March — you’re guaranteed to see so many more animals, and waaaay less crowds; stay at least 5-6 nights and take 3 game drive trips during your stay. PS! There’s also a tiny souvenir shop at the lodge."
"Fantastic experience! One of the most beautiful places in the Serengeti, situated near a river where buffalos and olifants come to drink. Perfect luxurious tents with great beds and chairs and hot showers and a view that is amazing. Perfect hospitality provided by Po, Peter, the cook (who makes fantastic food) and many others. I cannot recommend more!"
