We were very satisfied with our stay at the hotel. I'll start with the main thing — the location is super convenient: the beach is literally 2 minutes on foot, there is an underground passage, so the road is safe and fast. The airport is also nearby — it's great that you can take a bus, stop right at the hotel, it saves a lot of time and nerves on arrival and departure. The hotel itself was pleased with the large well-groomed territory, where there is everything you need. The pool is huge and clean — a separate delight. The staff was polite, helpful, and helpful with any questions. The breakfasts are varied, the hall is spacious, you will not stay hungry. Among the household advantages: there is a KFC and McDonald's nearby, as well as an outdoor market with a large selection of fresh seafood — very convenient if you want variety. The only drawback worth considering is that the hotel is located slightly away from the main entertainment centers and attractions, so if you plan active excursions, you will have to take public transport. And, of course, the rooms: the building is already old, the furniture would like to update, it is noticeable. But if the main thing for you is the convenience of the beach, silence and good service, and not the novelty of the interior, then the hotel fully meets expectations. I recommend it!

The entire service was attentive, meticulous, and thoughtful. Someone helped with luggage at the lobby entrance, and check-in and check-out were very efficient. The room was clean and spacious, and the outdoor balcony was convenient for drying clothes. Downstairs, there was a swimming pool and a children's splash pool, which kept the kids happily entertained. The breakfast selection was rich, and I particularly enjoyed the noodle soup. The hotel is very close to the beach, less than a 10-minute walk away. Everything went smoothly and pleasantly. Many thanks to the butler for the considerate service and little gift.

Facilities: Given it was renovated 8 years ago in 2018, the maintenance of the facilities is a bit lacking. The sink in our room was cracked – it didn't leak, but the cracks were there. Hygiene: The hygiene was acceptable, not spotless, but okay! Environment: The hotel environment is actually pretty good. The room was very quiet, which was nice. The lobby was a bit warm, but that might just be how it is in Sanya during summer. However, the upgraded room they gave us seemed to have been vacant for a while. The trash can didn't even have a plastic liner, and there was a strong musty smell as soon as we entered, which was quite unpleasant. Service: The service was actually decent. For a mid-range Crowne Plaza, I won't be too demanding, even though it was nearly 800 a night. While the breakfast had pretty much everything you'd expect, it was more complete than truly abundant!

Stayed at the Sheraton Yalong Bay for 1 night with my 10-year-old, and it definitely exceeded our expectations – a big thumbs up! The highlight for my child was the pool. The kids' area has slides and paddleboards, and the water is clean and not too deep. She'd spend two to three hours in there every day and wouldn't want to leave. I'd just relax on a nearby sun lounger, sip on a coconut, and watch her play – it was so peaceful and enjoyable for me too. The hotel's lawn and beach are truly beautiful. The lawn is large and very green, leading directly to the sea. In the evening, when it wasn't too hot, my child would run wild on the grass, and I'd slowly walk to the beach to feel the waves. The sand was incredibly fine, and the sea was blue; every photo I took looked great. I have to specifically praise the seafood BBQ buffet dinner! The oysters, scallops, and prawns were all grilled fresh, and my daughter loved the oysters. There was also live music, creating a very relaxed atmosphere. My child swayed to the music, and we all had a wonderful time eating. The service was also excellent. The front desk staff noticed we had a child and proactively offered kids' toothbrushes and slippers. The room was clean, making for a comfortable stay. All in all, we were very satisfied with this trip. We'll definitely stay here again next time we visit Sanya, and it offers good value for money. Highly recommended for families with kids! Oh, and we were also very happy with the complimentary travel photoshoot! The retouched photos turned out really well.

Yalong Bay/Tropical Paradise Forest Park/Bohou Village Sanya|12.92km from city center
Choosing the Marriott Yalong Bay for our Sanya vacation was absolutely the right decision – our entire trip was filled with joy! The hotel boasts a prime location in Yalong Bay, with its own 450-meter private beach. The sand is fine and soft, the water is clear and calm, and it's far less crowded than public beaches. It was so relaxing to lounge on a beach chair and watch the sea or capture stunning sunset photos anytime. The resort features an expansive tropical garden with abundant palm trees and comfortable walking paths, making a stroll around the hotel grounds a pleasure in itself. We stayed in a sea-view room, which was spacious and well soundproofed. The bedding was soft and comfortable, the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and amenities were comprehensive. The housekeeping service was thorough and impeccable. The variety of pools was impressive, with a lagoon pool and a children's water park thoughtfully sectioned off, perfect for both swimming and photo ops. Dining options were plentiful; breakfast offered a rich selection of fresh items. The beachfront fish bar provided a fantastic ambiance for enjoying seafood with a sea breeze, and the beach BBQ was incredibly atmospheric. Both the Japanese and Chinese restaurants delivered on taste. The staff were consistently warm and polite throughout our stay. Check-in was efficient, and they were always available when needed, providing thoughtful service without being intrusive. This hotel is perfect for couples on a leisure trip, friends traveling together, or family vacations. It's an all-in-one resort where you don't need to venture out. We will definitely book again on our next visit to Yalong Bay! Highly recommended!

I chose MGM for its brand reputation, but my experience was incredibly disappointing and left me fuming. 1: I had my Ctrip concierge contact the hotel beforehand to request a high-floor room. To my dismay, I was assigned a room on the 2nd floor 😓. Since our flight arrived late and my child needed to sleep, I didn't bother changing rooms. Photo 1 shows the view from the 2nd-floor room, while Photo 2 is from room 1309. The difference for the same price is huge, and no compensation was offered. 2: On the night of check-in, there was a heavy downpour, and water was leaking from the window sill in our room! The constant dripping kept us from sleeping. After complaining the next day, a staff member came to inspect, but they couldn't fix it. Even the housekeeping staff knew this room leaked; they just placed towels on the floor in the end… 3: Very few staff members throughout the hotel offered a smile. There was a male front desk attendant named Henry Wu whose attitude was extremely poor; he actually yelled at a guest! This is the first time I've ever encountered such behavior. My child was eager to go to the room for a nap at the time, so I didn't argue with him. 4: Throughout my stay, I received two calls from the so-called duty manager, inquiring about my stay and addressing my complaints. They claimed to be resolving issues, but each time they only escalated the conflict, even asking me not to leave a negative review on Ctrip! Good reviews are earned, not begged for. If you do your job well, good reviews will naturally follow. 5: The beachfront breakfast for the suites was good, I have to give credit for that! However, the regular buffet breakfast was truly awful; there was hardly anything edible. It's unbelievable that an MGM brand would offer such a poor breakfast. 6: I found a nail under the carpet in the room! Because I was already unhappy with the hotel, I didn't bother telling the concierge. My subsequent interactions with them also became lackluster; my messages went unanswered for a long time. However, I did inform the concierge that a table in the room was wobbly and dangerous, but they didn't address it later either.

This hotel has been around for many years, and the views are good. Facilities: Average Cleanliness: Decent Environment: Good Service: Not as good as before. As a long-time returning guest, they used to always give me a free room upgrade whenever the room types weren't too tight. Now, with the company change, the service is different. Their tone is stiff and unhelpful. All in all, very disappointed.

I originally thought there were no rooms available at this hotel on Trip.com, so I had no choice but to go to the Golden Phoenix Hotel. But right after checking in there, I checked Trip.com again and saw rooms were available at this hotel! I immediately contacted the front desk at Shengyi, asked them to hold room 1208, then contacted Trip.com to cancel my reservation at Golden Phoenix, and came back to stay at Shengyi. Honestly, among the hotels in this area, Shengyi Hotel offers the best value for money, especially the sea view, which is absolutely amazing. I initially wanted to try out different hotels, but the moment I stepped into the room at Golden Phoenix, I didn't want to stay there. Shengyi is simply better. I'll definitely come back here for future business trips. A special shout-out to the beautiful lady at the front desk who upgraded me to room 1208, where I ended up staying for 4 nights. The invoicing was prompt, and the service was excellent too.

I booked two rooms for two nights. Firstly, I was very satisfied with the rooms; they were spacious and the cleanliness was excellent. The large bathtub was a hit with the kids! Secondly, the hotel breakfast was delicious, especially the hot and sour beef noodles – I had two bowls every day! Absolutely delicious! Thirdly, the indoor swimming pool is mostly shaded in the afternoons, which is great because you don't have to worry about sunburn! We also tried paddleboarding, which was a lot of fun! Overall, this hotel is perfectly suited for families with young children. While it doesn't have a huge array of kids' facilities, it's more than enough for toddlers. And perhaps because it's a bit pricier than other places, it's not as crowded, making it quieter and more comfortable. I'll definitely come back again!

This Haitang Bay No. 9 really gave our whole family a huge surprise! A definite full-score recommendation 👍 The most heartwarming part was the upgrade: We booked a basic room, and the front desk, seeing we were a family of three, readily upgraded us to a family room. The space was incredibly generous; even our 18-year-old daughter had her own little corner. The bedding was just the right firmness, and all three of us slept soundly – even my wife, who usually has trouble sleeping in new places, praised it. The environment was absolutely stunning: The tropical gardens were incredibly soothing, and every photo we took looked like it was straight out of a magazine. The pool complex was the biggest highlight – several pools, each with a different vibe. We rotated through them all: our daughter loved the splash pool with slides, while my wife and I preferred the infinity pool. Soaking in the water at sunset was incredibly romantic. The beach was just a two or three-minute walk away, uncrowded with fine sand. It was so relaxing for our family of three to walk and play in the water. The service was also excellent: When we needed extra towels and bottled water, they arrived within minutes. The breakfast had a rich variety, and the Baoluo noodles and Qingbuliang dessert soup became our daily must-haves. In short, this stay was a full-score experience with incredibly high value for money. Our daughter even said she wants to come back next time. For a Sanya vacation, this is definitely the place! 🌴🏊‍♀️

I was genuinely surprised by this hotel! Having stayed at most of the beachfront hotels in Sanya, I spent a few days by the sea this time, and then decided to escape the rainy season in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai by retreating to the mountains for a few more days. Location: Since I was driving, I didn't feel it was far from the city. At least all delivery services were available. Plus, the resort itself is so convenient that I didn't feel the need to go out. They have everything: restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, a spa, a supermarket, a barbershop, etc. If you need anything, you can just order delivery. Ambiance: Excellent. The greenery is superb, and the hygiene is top-notch – not a single piece of trash. Service: The butler service was fantastic right from the moment I completed my booking. They handled vehicle registration, luggage, check-in, and even delivered fruit. The butler's WeChat responses were always prompt. They also helped me pre-book some in-house activities (yoga, sound healing, etc.). They even helped deliver food up to my room, and there are shuttle buses to phases 1 and 3 of the resort. All the staff are very attractive. My flight was delayed due to a typhoon, and they even granted me a late checkout. Hotel Facilities: They have it all – pools, restaurants, a gym, and sports courts. The room's amenities are also great, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom, a fridge, a coffee machine, and even a pour-over coffee pot! The balcony has lounge chairs and a drying rack. Bathing and toiletries are fully stocked. The minibar offers complimentary drinks and snacks daily. Dining: I tried the Michelin-starred Sichuan restaurant Jichuan (good), the yakitori place Niaowan (great value for money), various cuisines at Dining Hall No. 1, and the 1402 coffee and bakery – all were good. Yongfu and Xinrongji Manner are only open in winter. Compared to the hustle and bustle of the beach, this place feels like the quiet Ubud of Sanya. I realized it's perfect for a 'sportcation' this time, and I plan to come back!

The swimming pool was clean with multiple lifeguards, so I felt very safe letting my kids play. They also have different activities every day: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays feature bubble parties and water boosters, while even-numbered days have free water gun fun! The front desk staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, even gifting us a complimentary afternoon tea for two, which we could enjoy after check-out (from 2 PM to 5 PM). This was the longest late check-out I've ever experienced, and I was absolutely thrilled with it.

I highly recommend this beachfront resort! My stay was incredibly satisfying. The hotel lobby boasts an elegant and sophisticated style with soaring ceilings that create a grand, spacious feel. The dynamic wave art sculpture and cloud-like chandeliers complement each other perfectly, while the marble accent wall adds a touch of luxury. From the moment I arrived, I was enveloped in a strong island vacation vibe. The front desk staff were welcoming and efficient, making check-in a breeze. The outdoor facilities were a pleasant surprise. The famous infinity pool, facing the vast blue ocean, offers breathtaking views and is perfect for stunning photos. The pool also features water play equipment for children, making it very convenient for families to enjoy a splash. The sixth-floor ocean-facing lawn offers superb views. Lush palm trees abound, and the unique giraffe and flamingo sculptures add a charming touch. Relaxing gazebos and beach loungers are scattered throughout. Sitting on the lawn, listening to the sea breeze, and gazing at the ocean truly maximizes the vacation atmosphere. I paid to upgrade to an ocean-view room at the front desk, which was excellent value for money. The room's view was impeccable; the balcony offered a prime vantage point with panoramic views of the beach, ocean, and distant mountains. The room was spotlessly clean and free of any odors, making for a very comfortable stay. The air conditioning was virtually silent and provided stable cooling. The bedding was soft and breathable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The room's decor was thoughtfully arranged, with towels artfully folded into cute little elephants – these small details were truly delightful. The hotel's location is superb, offering immediate access to the beach scenery, perfect for both relaxing photo ops and family fun. The hardware facilities are well-maintained, and the service is meticulous and attentive. It's well-suited for both family trips and vacations with friends. The villa is beautiful and the pool water is very clean. The hotel is right next to the beach, so you can walk over and dip your toes in the water. The rooms are large and plentiful, and I got a bit disoriented when I first checked in. Unlike other standalone villa hotels I've stayed at, this one doesn't have a butler service; you need to call the front desk for any requests. It also felt like the hotel was understaffed. We checked in during peak hours, and the front desk staff looked very tired and overwhelmed. They didn't even guide guests queuing up in an orderly fashion. The experience in this regard was quite poor compared to the Hilton we stayed at two days ago. If you're staying in a villa, you'll need to bring your own mosquito repellent. Because the rooms are so large and there's a lot of greenery, even electric mosquito coils were largely ineffective. I didn't see any mosquito traps or similar facilities outside either. We were almost carried away by Sanya's mosquitoes!

This hotel really excels in many aspects: convenient transportation, direct beach access, a wide array of facilities, and delicious breakfast. While you might find individual hotels that beat it in one specific area, its overall score makes it a fantastic choice. Our visit coincided with some bad weather, with rain every morning. However, the hotel offered plenty of activities. We enjoyed the gym, took some fun travel photos, and when the rain eased, we'd head to the pool. When the weather cleared up in the afternoon, we'd go for a swim in the sea. In fact, there were so many active options that I even lost a little weight during our stay! Dining at the nearby seafood market in the evenings was also very convenient. The hotel's service was excellent as well. First, the pros: The hotel is very close to the sea; you can walk out from the ground floor and be on the beach in a few dozen meters. Since it's at the very end, the beach is quite clean. The rooms are also clean, and the housekeeping staff are all very friendly. There's a pharmacy and a small convenience store right in the hotel lobby, which is quite convenient for buying medicine and other necessities. The concierge service was also excellent, actively helping with luggage upon arrival and departure. There's even a ** (food delivery) locker at the lobby entrance, which makes ordering takeout very convenient. Now, the cons: The front desk service was terrible. The room they initially assigned us could only be used for showering while standing in the bathtub. Since one of my companions had difficulty with their leg, I asked for a different room. The front desk staff immediately told me the hotel was fully booked and there were no other rooms available. I had no choice but to contact Ctrip, and they quickly arranged a room change for us. When checking out, I requested a late check-out because my child needed an afternoon nap. Again, the front desk told me the hotel was fully booked and we could only stay until 12:30 PM. However, before calling, I had already checked the booking page, and our room type was still available for sale that day, so it wasn't fully booked. Oh well, we checked out on time. Breakfast: The variety was extremely limited, and most of the options seemed more suitable for Russians. I stayed for three days, and as a woman with a small appetite, I never felt full. In the evening, there's also a self-service BBQ on the ground floor for 98 yuan per person. I wouldn't recommend making a special trip to Bohou Village Night Market; it's just a short road, a few dozen meters long, entirely filled with BBQ stalls. If you plan to book this hotel, I suggest getting a full sea-view room directly. The full sea-view rooms seem to have been renovated, and the facilities look newer. Also, a word of advice: do not book through **. I saw others who booked through **, and when issues arose, the hotel and ** just passed the buck, leaving the customer to suffer. This trip was long with many uncertainties, and I deeply experienced Ctrip's problem-solving capabilities. They truly are the king of the tourism industry; kudos to Ctrip! 👍

Beyond the fantastic ambiance, the service here was also excellent. My flight was a bit late, and I needed an extra half hour for check-out. The front desk happily extended it by a full hour. The taxi service was also quite prompt. The Chinese restaurant on the first floor offers reasonable prices; their dim sum is comparable to what you'd find in a mall. The 3-person dinner set was only 238, and the portions were generous – two adults and one child couldn't even finish it all. An absolute sanctuary – exceeded every expectation, twice over. From check-in to check-out, the Pullman didn’t just meet my expectations—it shattered them, again and again. This wasn’t just a hotel stay; it was a masterclass in hospitality. My top-floor room (conveniently just steps from the elevator) was a sprawling, light-filled haven. The double balcony offered a cinematic, panoramic ocean view that genuinely took my breath away every single morning. The space was huge, yet somehow still cozy—spotlessly clean, delicately fragranced, and stylishly decorated with a contemporary flair. And the oversized bathtub? Absolute bliss after a day in the sun. The culinary highlights were just as memorable. The afternoon tea on the 17th floor was an exquisite ritual, but the real showstopper was the durian and white chocolate dessert—decadent, creamy, and utterly unforgettable. I still dream about it. The pool area is a dream, seamlessly blending into a private beach zone. The loungers on the sand were wonderfully comfortable, and a special shout-out to Kevin the lifeguard, who noticed me searching and went out of his way to secure the perfect sunny spot for me. For ultimate relaxation, Kaly at the spa worked magic—her facial left my skin feeling beautifully soft and hydrated, while the massage melted away every last trace of stress. Above all, the genuine thoughtfulness of the staff stood out. Maria’s gesture of offering a late check-out, knowing I had a late flight back to Shenzhen, was the epitome of five-star care—it turned my final day from stressful to serene. Worth every single cent. If you’re looking for luxury that feels both grand and genuinely personal, look no further. I’m already planning my return.

The hotel is quite old, and the decor feels a bit dated. We booked a courtyard room, which was great because it was very close to the pool and the beach. The downside is that you might encounter mosquitoes, so remember to close the door promptly. The water at Dadonghai Beach is truly beautiful, but it was so sunny that we didn't stay on the sand for long. About 70% of the guests at the hotel and on the beach outside were foreigners, maybe even more. My child particularly enjoyed the fish spa by the pool and the bubble party. Plus, there are plenty of dining options near the hotel. We also went to the First Market for a seafood meal, which was both affordable and delicious 😋

She proactively discussed our room preferences, helped us choose a seaview room with an amazing view, and meticulously explained details about the sky-high cantilevered pool, breakfast hours, and other hotel amenities, saving us a lot of time figuring things out. During our stay, she almost instantly responded to our messages, whether it was booking a slot for the pool, storing our luggage, recommending sunset spots and local eateries in Sanya Bay, or replenishing room supplies and adjusting the room setup – her responses were always prompt, professional, and thorough. Zoe paid great attention to detail. She reminded us about safety precautions for beach activities and put a lot of thought into planning our local sightseeing routes. Having a butler manage these small things made our vacation much more relaxing. While the hotel's hardware is aesthetically pleasing, with the balcony sea view and the trendy cantilevered pool offering a fantastic experience, Zoe's gentle, professional, and warm service was truly the highlight of our stay. My only minor complaint is that the hotel's robot delivery service for meals was quite slow, and waiting times were a bit long during peak hours. I hope they can optimize and improve their delivery efficiency in the future. Putting this small drawback aside, the overall experience was still top-notch. The next time we visit Conifer, we'll definitely request Zoe as our butler again. Highly recommended!

The hotel has several upsides: the public areas are spacious with great views, and the large lawn is perfect for photos. The pool is quite clean, and there are plenty of activities for kids (more suitable for those under 10). The breakfast at the 'Chef's Stage' restaurant is diverse and plentiful (especially compared to the Horizon Club). It's also close to the duty-free shop. The guest relations specialist, Yarina, was proactive, responsive, and effectively resolved any issues. However, the downsides are equally apparent. The biggest problem was the strong musty and strange odor in the hallways, elevators, and rooms. Additionally, the hotel staff generally had a stiff and unapproachable attitude. Since you can't swim in the sea at Haitang Bay, it can feel a bit dull, so the main point of coming here is to enjoy the hotel facilities. I had read reviews saying that Shangri-La was excellent for families with kids and offered a fantastic experience, but honestly, this stay didn't meet my expectations. I'm still giving it five stars though, as everyone working hard deserves it.

This was my second stay, and this time I opted for a high-floor sea view room, which was better maintained than the Executive rooms. From the moment I arrived in the lobby, a bellboy helped with my luggage. Even though I arrived at 2 PM, I didn't have to wait, as my room was already prepared. I also received drink vouchers, and ordering food to the room was very convenient. The Little Donghai area is beautiful; despite the cloudy weather this time, the sea was still crystal clear. The hotel also provided complimentary breakfast and allowed me a late check-out. The day after I got home, I realized my necklace had been left at the hotel by my child. I called to inquire, and they mailed it back to me that afternoon. Having stayed in so many hotels, the service at Ban Zhou Ban Dao is truly exceptional.

The hotel is located within the Yalong Bay National 5A Tourist Resort, within walking distance of Yalong Bay Beach. The hotel also offers free scheduled shuttle buses to the beach, which is very convenient. Within 800 meters of the hotel, you'll find the Yalong Bay Yatai Night Market Street and the Baihua Valley Commercial Street, making it easy to browse the night market and commercial area after dinner. It's a peaceful escape that doesn't lack convenience, truly an oasis of calm in the bustling Yalong Bay. Overall, my stay was very enjoyable. The hotel's excellent location, beautiful natural environment, spacious and comfortable villa, and attentive service all left a deep impression on me. The hotel offers great value for money, and I highly recommend it for anyone vacationing in Sanya. I'll definitely choose Shixi Villa Jianguo Resort Hotel first on my next trip to Sanya!

This was my first stay at the Yalong Bay Metropark Villa Resort. The day before my arrival, our butler, Xiao Zhao, proactively contacted me via WeChat to confirm my itinerary and inquire about any special requests. The hotel is located next to Yalong Bay Golf Course, boasting a beautiful environment with rivers winding through lush greenery. Our room had one bedroom, one living room, and one bathroom with a bathtub and kitchen. The courtyard also featured a small separate room with a sofa, air conditioning, and a double bed, comfortably accommodating two people, along with a small tea room. The private pool in the courtyard was a hit with both adults and children. The room attendant, Wang Xiaoyan, brought us water and fresh towels several times a day – excellent service! We dined at the hotel restaurant, enjoying a set meal of coconut chicken and the buffet. Restaurant manager Xu Xiaoling personally greeted us, showing genuine care and even giving a gift to our child – truly thoughtful. Breakfast was served until 11 AM and the food was quite good. The hotel offers a shuttle service to the main road, from where it's about a ten-minute walk to the Yalong Bay public beach. The beach is beautiful, but the jet ski vendors there were quite aggressive, often using megaphones to tell tourists to leave, claiming that area was exclusively for their business and telling people to go play elsewhere.

The hotel building is supposedly the newest wing of the old BAO Hotel across the street where those staying in the Shanghai Huating Boutique must go for breakfast. We waited 25 minutes to check as there was one desk agent serving one customer although after 2pm. The other staff agent appeared after 3pm. We were required to pay a refundable 500 RMB deposit and after checking into our room, God only knows what anyone would take from the room that was worth 500 RMB. Old not ironed bed linen, rusted garbage can, rusted balcony sink, old clean bathroom towel, old kitchen appliances which only the refrigerator was plugged in to work. The room condition (walls, floors, tiles, fixtures, etc) of the 8 years old hotel that opened in 2018 is far worse than it should be unless they used old materials to build. The option to PAY MORE for an “ocean view” is not worth it. After complaining that my room had a “pool view” AND I didn’t get the “ocean view” room I had PREPAID for, I was told I could change to another room that had an ocean view the NEXT DAY (because all of the 2 twin bedrooms with “ocean view” were already occupied for the day. But after I was shown the only room that had a view of the unsightly harbor/ocean which came with an old hard king size mattress and in worse condition than my 2 twin beds room, I decided not to move to another room BECAUSE after viewing the other available rooms where guests had checked out, there were none any better to justify packing up and moving to another old room. I contacted Trip.com, but because the cancellation period for THIS hotel expired the day before arrival, thus not allowing a chance to view the room before accepting the room at checkin. This is a red flag 🚩 as a hotel with pride & confidence in its products & service would allow the cancellation to extend to AT LEAST to 2-4pm on the planned checkin date especially at a famous beach resort (DaDongHai) during the 15 days long Chinese New Year’s holiday. So, no chance to change hotels UNLESS I was willing to forfeit $487.47. Also, I should mention the ants that appeared on the kitchenette counter EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS NO FOOD on the counter, only my coffee cup that I washed and left on the counter to dry. THE ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT MY STAY AT THIS “DESPERATELY NEED OF A PROPER RENOVATION” HOTEL IS THE ONE MORNING FEMALE DESK AGENT THAT ASSISTED ME A COUPLE OF TIMES IN THE MORNING AND A HOUSEKEEPING LADY SO, I GAVE BOTH A GOOD LUCK RED ENVELOPE 🧧 AS IT WAS THE CHINESE NEW YEAR HOLIDAY. If I go back to Da Dong Hai, I will DEFINITELY LOOK for a better hotel for my usually desired 5-10 days Sun & Beach vacation.

This is a truly amazing, hidden gem of a family-friendly hotel! Honestly, I almost didn't want to write a review, hoping fewer people would find out about it so it wouldn't get overrun. But my father-in-law insisted, so here it is. The facilities are definitely a bit older, no need to sugarcoat it, but they're very well-maintained overall. The original design offers great privacy, and the villa pools are super fun. While it's not beachfront, the hotel does have its own little beach area. The sun loungers are shaded by dense, broadleaf shrubs, so if you don't like direct sun, you can relax underneath, peeking at patches of blue sky through the leaves. There are a lot of Russians here, apparently a 9:1 ratio of guests. Generally, the tourists are very well-behaved and enjoyable to be around. I honestly felt like I was on a European island vacation!

The service was great! Our butler, Anna, added us on WeChat and sent over all the hotel's amenities, facilities, location, and operating hours, which was super helpful for us to get acquainted with everything. There's no beach directly on the island, but they offer an electric shuttle every 15 minutes to take you off the island. Once you get off, the beach is just about 50 meters straight ahead to the left. Alternatively, if you cross the road straight ahead, there's a large shopping mall, which is very convenient! Plus, they even gave us complimentary tickets to a show and some coffee.

The Kapok Hotel offers incredibly spacious rooms, around 60 square meters, so roomy you could practically wander around inside. The balcony overlooks a beautiful Southeast Asian-style garden with coconut trees, lush greenery, and water features, instantly transporting you to Bali! But it's more than just a hotel; it's a super complex! Downstairs, you'll find a gym, a swimming pool, and restaurants (so convenient for meals). The resort even has a water park, a food street, and a shopping street! It's an all-in-one package for dining, entertainment, and shopping. Whether you're traveling with kids or as a couple, you won't even need to leave the property to find things to do. The service is also outstanding. We had a dedicated butler, Perou, who patiently answered all our questions. The value for money is truly excellent! It's a complete vacation vibe, convenient and stress-free. The room was clean and quiet, perfect for those who enjoy peace and solitude! The service was also good, and they clearly mark areas for sanitized items. However, there are two minor points for improvement: 1. The pillows aren't latex, and even with two stacked, they're still quite flat. 2. Other hotels usually provide four coffee capsules, but here there are only two, which feels a bit stingy, haha! Other than that, everything else was great.

It felt like the hotel mainly relied on the butler to fix issues, and the concierge service was decent, but everything else was just so-so. When checking in, the front desk staff gave off a vibe like they couldn't care less if we stayed or not. I immediately wanted to leave a bad review, but the butler appeared just in time, so I held back. Later, after I reported a strange smell in the room, the butler proactively arranged a room change. Around 10 PM, we moved to the new room and requested an extra child bed rail. Here's the key point – the attendant was a middle-aged woman. Seeing her age, I even helped her lift the mattress to install the bed rail, but she had a sour face the entire time. When she left after installing it, she even knocked the 'do not disturb' sign off the doorknob and didn't pick it up; I had to pick it up myself. Even worse, before she left, she blurted out, ”If you want to change again, there are no more rooms, alright?” I was baffled. You're just a room attendant, do you decide whether there are rooms available? Such disruptive comments only make guests feel your impatience and complaints, doing nothing to solve the problem, but instead escalating tensions. As it turned out, the new room had other problems, and we were tired and couldn't be bothered to move again, so we just went back to our original room. Because of the room change hassle, the next morning we realized we were missing two sets of dental kits, one adult and one child. We called to have them delivered, and here's another key point – first, there was a ring, which we thought was the doorbell, but when we opened the door, no one was there. Then it rang a second time, and we realized it was the in-room phone. We answered and were told the dental kits had been delivered and left outside the door. We opened the door again only to find them simply placed on the ground. We were in the room; couldn't you have rung the doorbell and handed them to us? Or if you prefer to leave them at the door, fine, but these are items meant for our mouths! Even if they have an outer package, couldn't you at least put them in a basket or something? What's the deal with just putting them on the ground?!

This was the most satisfying hotel of our Sanya trip! Sanya Dadonghai Hotel truly lives up to its five-star reputation. Not only is it very close to Dadonghai Beach, but the ocean view from the room is also incredibly beautiful. Plus, the hotel breakfast offers a wide variety, and the service attitude is excellent. It's definitely worth recommending to everyone. I accidentally broke a glass in the room, and the housekeeper immediately checked if I was injured and then thoughtfully waived the replacement fee. During our stay, they not only upgraded our room to a deluxe sea-view room for free but also provided a thoughtful welcome fruit platter and tremella soup. This stay was an absolutely fantastic experience – comfortable and relaxing!

The room was spacious, clean, and had a great sea view, plus a balcony which was super convenient for drying clothes.

中文下面 I stayed at the hotel twice. We enjoyed the large outdoor main pool and the 20th floor infinity pool which both were warm and comfortable. We didn’t go to the 3rd floor beach pool as there were many kids there. There were many activities for the kids from a large indoor play area with ball pits and huge slides to arts and craft for some family bonding time. The live music in the lobby was a nice touch for the atmosphere. The rooms are large with lots of space. We got the two bedroom with two full bathrooms and kitchen. The washer machine was great. we can do all our laundry in the room. Thesege outdoor tub on the balcony was a great way to enjoy the view. We really enjoyed the sunset view from our balcony and from the UP VIEW sky bar and infinity pool. I took so many pretty photos from up there. The hotel gives you two beautiful and delicious drinks to start off the night at the bar. There were also a floating flamingo and paddle board in the infinity pool for you to use for your photoshoot. But be warned they are both very unstable if you’re on it. Skilled balancing is needed. The sunset views from the hotel is priceless. There are more than enough elevators that you don’t have to wait long. there is a delivery point for all your takeout deliveries. This three in one hotel is huge, the facilities can be enjoyed by everyone in any of the three hotels. Shuttle golf cart is provided free. Definitely a great family oriented hotel for the kids and parents to enjoy. The large Number 1 night market is very close a few minutes away. Airport is only 30 minutes away. The mall and duty free shopping area is also a few mi away by taxi. Luy and the entire front desk staff helped answer a lot of my questions and even helped me with didi to hail a cab. My kids really enjoyed the hotel facilities. no real complaints but as with china being a smoking country, it would be nice to have a smoke free seating section at the buffet. Parents would smoke in front of their own kids it’s crazy.

Overall, I had a really enjoyable stay at this hotel. It’s worth noting that the hotel caters primarily to Russian tourists, so much of the signage, tours and information are aimed at Russian guests. As an English speaker, this sometimes made things a little more difficult, but it didn’t stop me from enjoying my holiday. When I arrived, I had a couple of issues with my room. The hot tub took over an hour to fill, and the water wouldn’t stay warm while it was running, so I wasn’t really able to enjoy it. The charging ports in the room also weren’t working, although the hotel kindly provided me with an adapter, which solved that problem. Unfortunately, the hot tub issue was never resolved. The breakfast was very good, with a nice variety of food each morning. The swimming pool was also lovely—warm, clean and a great place to relax. My biggest concern was the fish spa. I initially thought seeing a dead fish was just a one-off, but I noticed dead fish in the spa every day during my stay. That made me question how well the spa was being maintained, and I hope the hotel looks into this. The staff were always kind, polite and helpful, and despite the few issues, I had a lovely stay overall. With a little more attention to maintenance, particularly in the fish spa and the hot tub, this hotel would be even better.

Last year, I stayed at the Golden Phoenix in Sanya, and I'm back again this year. This time, I booked the Elegant Seaview Room. The 30-degree ocean view, perhaps because it's not directly facing the pool, felt even more comfortable and peaceful. It seems both the service and facilities have been upgraded since my last visit. They now have a food delivery robot that can bring items upstairs, and complimentary welcome fruits. The hotel also has a laundry room with washers and dryers. Breakfast, purchased separately at 58 per person, is very rich with both Chinese and Western options, offering great value for money.

CNCorinChenI originally thought there were no rooms available at this hotel on Trip.com, so I had no choice but to go to the Golden Phoenix Hotel. The hotel has a swimming pool, which is perfect for kids, with a shallow area too. In the evening, there's a bubble party, and the beach isn't far. There's even a foot-washing station when you come back from the beach, which is very convenient. The ladies at the front desk are super friendly and always ready to help. There are many room types to choose from. I highly recommend the Deluxe Sea View Room. After the kids are asleep, you can relax on the balcony lounge chair, enjoy the sea breeze, and listen to the waves. The spliced beds are especially great for families with kids; the 2.4-meter bed is really spacious. There's a free shuttle bus to the duty-free shop in Haitang Bay, but you need to book in advance. It's less than a 15-minute taxi ride from the airport and costs about 15 RMB.

My solo trip was very comfortable, apart from the heat in Sanya, but it's summer now, so it's hot everywhere. I brought my own disposable four-piece bedding set, bath towel, face towel, and mosquito repellent. When traveling to Sanya, you definitely need to be well-prepared. Getting a taxi is very convenient, and the ocean is right across the street, so I took lots of photos. Dining is also very convenient, and it's close to the First Market night market, just a minimum fare taxi ride away. The prices are quite fair; as long as you ignore the touts constantly trying to pull you in, you generally won't get ripped off. The hotel breakfast suited me as I prefer lighter meals, so it was to my liking. The front desk staff were also quite enthusiastic. I'll bring my family to stay here next time. It's also very convenient for water activities at the beach.

Hotel was located in a convenient area, we could walk to the beach and didi to malls and other places were quite affordable. The hotel is quite old so it’s abit run down. Mattress is very hard. Cleanliness of the room is not very good too, we saw a cockroach in our bathroom on the first day … and there are stains on the tables / bathroom area. The staff were nice and friendly though. Facilities wise we only used the gym which was very small old and equipment was faulty. But the staff did say we can go to the opposite hotel for a better gym. Overall I would say location is the best aspect of this hotel.
