Shangri-La Sanya

I recently stayed at the Shangri-La Sanya for 4 nights with my parents and child, and everyone absolutely loved it! This hotel is definitely a hidden gem for a family vacation. 📍 **Excellent Location:** It's super close to the beach, and some rooms even offer direct sea views. It's only a 10-minute drive to the Sanya International Duty-Free Shopping Complex, which is incredibly convenient for those who love to shop. Wuzhizhou Island pier is also not far, making it easy to hail a taxi. 🛏️ **Room Experience:** Since I was traveling with my parents and child, I opted for the Horizon Club. The Horizon Club offers access to an executive lounge with not only breakfast but also afternoon tea and dinner, which was incredibly convenient. The room itself was spacious and bright, and the balcony offered stunning sea views. The room was exceptionally clean and thoughtfully equipped with children's toiletries and a children's step stool. There's also a sofa bed in the room, which you can ask the butler to set up in advance – perfect for a family of four. 🍽️ **Satisfying Dining:** The main restaurant's breakfast spread was incredibly rich with a huge variety of options, including freshly squeezed watermelon and cantaloupe juice. To my surprise, there was even a dedicated kids' area! It offered not only dishes suitable for children like wontons, congee, pasta, steamed buns, and fried snacks, but also finely cut fruits and vegetables, showing great consideration for little ones. My child absolutely loved it. The Horizon Club executive lounge was also fantastic. Besides afternoon tea, they have an evening happy hour with different hot dishes each day. They also offered non-spicy vegetable and meat dishes, as well as fried noodles and rice, suitable for children. Everything tasted great. 🎪 **Abundant Children's Activities:** There are tons of parent-child activities every day, along with unlimited free rides on the mini-train. We participated in a dragon fruit sushi-making class, which was a wonderful experience, and my child had an absolute blast. The hotel also has an adventure zone, a petting zoo, and you can even ride ponies and ostriches, which the kids really enjoyed. The water park is also large and clean. Unfortunately, it was a bit chilly when we visited, so we didn't go in, but it would be perfect for warmer weather. 💫 **Five-Star Service:** The hotel service was absolutely superb. Romy checked us in, and she was incredibly kind. She helped us resolve a breakfast issue and personally escorted us to the shuttle bus stop after check-in. Our luggage was also delivered directly to our room by a dedicated staff member – super nice. This vacation was incredibly satisfying, and I will definitely choose Shangri-La again the next time I visit Sanya!

Extremely satisfied with our family vacation! The hotel's kids' activities were plentiful and fun; my child absolutely loved the go-karts and bubble party. Our butler, Rodri, provided attentive follow-up throughout our stay, with quick service responses. The management is well-organized, and it's excellent value for money!

Stayed for two nights and had a fantastic experience overall (especially after comparing it to the St. Regis Yalong Bay). Krystal, our butler, was incredibly responsive and efficient! (At least compared to the St. Regis, Krystal proactively contacted me a day in advance.) Hotel Location: Very convenient, close to the duty-free shop and Atlantis. Activity Space: Since I was traveling with my mom, we didn't try the parent-child activities, but there are plenty of options for adults too. The public areas are also beautifully designed and well-maintained. Dining: Definitely opt for the executive lounge access; it essentially saves you dinner expenses and the hassle of going out. However, the breakfast area in the lounge is a bit small; you'll find more variety at the main breakfast buffet.

Sanya Shangri-La is perfect for a leisurely vacation! The heated pool is clean, comfortable, and spacious. Lying on a beach chair and feeling the sea breeze is incredibly relaxing. The food is also top-notch; the breakfast at the Chef's Stage is incredibly rich and varied. The chef from Hong Kong is very enthusiastic, and the sparerib rice, chicken feet rice, pork chops, and shrimp cakes are tender, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The Horizon Club afternoon tea with a sea view is perfect for chatting and enjoying a drink. The service is attentive, and you'll eat well and relax thoroughly. I genuinely recommend it!

I've been to Sanya many times, and each time I like to try a different hotel. This trip, I chose the Shangri-La Resort in Haitang Bay. While the online reviews are mixed, I wanted to experience it for myself. First off, we prefer hotels with heated pools, and the Shangri-La truly excelled here. Both the kids' pool and the main pool are heated. Our family of three spent an entire afternoon in the main pool. My five-year-old had a blast with the floating mat challenge and the bubble party in the kids' pool – he absolutely loved it! Secondly, the facilities in the Horizon Club room were quite satisfying. I particularly liked the vanity counter; the top shelf had plenty of space for toiletries. The entire bathroom and toilet area are separate from the bedroom, offering both privacy and an undisturbed environment. Lastly, we never had time to enjoy the Horizon Club's happy hour as part of the executive benefits because we'd already had afternoon tea and weren't hungry. We'd then go out later for other food, which suited our schedule better! A big thank you to our butler, Mandy, who provided a detailed hotel guide even before we arrived. The service was excellent. We'll definitely consider staying here again!

Just returned from a family trip to Shangri-La Sanya Haitang Bay with the kids, and I'm completely won over! This place is an absolute paradise for families; my children didn't want to leave from morning till night. Outdoors, there's a heated pool and a complimentary water park with giant slides and foam parties that kept them ecstatic. Indoors, the Luhu Kids' Club has a carousel, and the adventure playground offers climbing nets, plus pet interactions and lawn games. There are also different themed craft classes daily, along with evening fire shows and beach movies – no chance of boredom here! The rooms are spacious and clean, equipped with kids' bathrobes and slippers, and a private balcony with garden or sea views. The attention to detail is truly impressive. Dining options are plentiful too: the kids' buffet at the Culinary Stage and the Southeast Asian flavors at XI restaurant were both excellent. Romy helped us with restaurant reservations and was quick to respond to any questions, making the service truly hassle-free. From facilities and environment to service, everything was impeccable. This is a must-book for families with kids; it was an unforgettable island family vacation! Oh, and there's ostrich riding! That was incredible! It was my first time ever seeing that in my life.
