Amanyangyun's design is beautiful, and the property is expansive. The entire estate is very peaceful, with a riverside, boat rides, a cinema, and even two white peacocks. Just strolling around is incredibly relaxing. The hotel offers a wide range of activities, making it highly enjoyable; you won't get bored even if you don't leave the premises. However, the string lights, food carts, and floral wreaths near the lake are quite out of place with the overall aesthetic and would be better removed. In terms of hardware, the gym is very well-equipped, and there are two large swimming pools, both indoor and outdoor. The water pressure in the guest room shower is particularly noteworthy – it's almost the most comfortable and ideal pressure I've experienced in any hotel. Room cleaning is also excellent; on the morning of my check-out, I went for breakfast, and upon returning, the room had already been tidied. However, there's a slight issue with the guest room door; if you let go after opening it, it doesn't close automatically but rather gets stuck, requiring an extra push to shut completely. Additionally, the air conditioning vent is in an awkward position, blowing directly onto your face when lying in bed. Overall, the service was the most satisfying aspect of this stay. Almost all staff members were very friendly, and the hotel was great at recognizing guests. Several times when I went to the restaurant, the staff already recognized me, and I didn't even need to state my room number, making the whole process very smooth. When there weren't many people at breakfast, food was served quickly, and tables were cleared very promptly; used dishes or rubbish were usually taken away immediately. At check-out, the hotel even gave several small gifts, and the turndown service gifts were also very practical, including the hotel's small tote bag and baseball cap, which I preferred over simple ornaments. The lady in the boutique also left a deep impression on me. She was very knowledgeable about the hotel itself and the stories and information behind the items in the store. Her introductions were very professional, and she had high emotional intelligence. However, there were relatively few items in the boutique directly related to Aman itself; most were from other brands, which was a slight shame. Of course, there were also some noticeable minor issues with the service. One time at breakfast, a staff member at the restaurant entrance opened the door for a foreign guest and ushered them in. I was right behind them, and she clearly saw me but didn't hold the door, instead turning away and letting it close directly in front of me. This detail left a poor impression. Also, in areas like the restaurant and spa, I occasionally saw a few staff members gathered together chatting, which was slightly out of sync with the hotel's generally quiet and restrained atmosphere. Finally, the location is indeed quite remote, making it suitable for a dedicated hotel getaway. However, if you frequently need to travel back and forth to Shanghai city center during your stay, it would be quite inconvenient. Despite these points, the good far outweighs the bad, and it's definitely worth a special trip and a return visit.

These issues are indeed present; you can see slight scratches on the floors, and some furniture joints show a bit of wear. It definitely doesn't have the pristine, polished feel of a brand-new, trendy hotel. But I have to say, its old money ambiance is truly top-tier and absolutely irreplaceable. The most direct feeling comes during breakfast. Sitting in the restaurant listening to the conversations around me, the atmosphere is completely different—gentle, relaxed, understated, and composed. There’s no flashy, showy wealth. This is the quintessential old money relaxed vibe; that aura simply cannot be faked. Putting aside the minor imperfections in the facilities, the comfort level of the stay is off the charts! I absolutely rave about the Bvlgari's bedding; it's the most stable and comfortable sleep I’ve had in any hotel! And their bath towels, I truly can't stop thinking about them! Soft and plush, with a faint, high-end fragrance that feels like a specially crafted scent. After a shower, wrapping myself in it makes me feel soft and fragrant all over—pure bliss! The service is consistently top-notch, a true delight for those who appreciate details! During the day, housekeeping proactively brings fresh fruit platters and warm, freshly baked pastries. In the evening, there's a soothing herbal tea, which really elevates the detailed ambiance. All soft drinks in the room are complimentary, and the cleaning staff tidies the room regularly, refilling drinks and amenities promptly, so you don't have to worry about a thing. The professionalism of all hotel staff is exceptional. Whether it's the bellhop or the cleaning crew, they greet you gently when you meet. The service is professional and discreet—not overly enthusiastic to the point of awkwardness, nor cold or perfunctory. The room's quality is also absolutely on point! The overall decor is luxurious yet understated, with fresh flowers and greenery adorning every corner, making it fresh and elegant. The room is incredibly spacious, and the view from the window is stunning. I absolutely love curling up on the sofa in the room, daydreaming and unwinding. When I feel like it, I'll leisurely head out for a stroll on Nanjing Road. It’s so relaxed and pleasant, truly a full-on vacation vibe. Objectively speaking, purely in terms of hardware facilities, it indeed can't compare to many newly opened high-end hotels. But that's the charm of the Bvlgari; it possesses an inherent European royal palace heritage and aura. New hotels can mimic decor and pile on hardware, but this kind of accumulated sophistication and composed old money atmosphere can never be replicated. My biggest takeaway after staying: Palace-level elegance is never defined by brand-new facilities.

From the moment you step into the villa's courtyard, it evokes a sense of anticipation and comfort. The indoor temperature was just right, making it very comfortable. The villa is extremely well-maintained, with a decor that exudes an Old Shanghai charm. The cleanliness deserves a perfect score! As someone with mild OCD, this is the only place where I've been completely satisfied with the level of cleanliness. I'd heard some complaints about the shower and hot water timing, but for a villa with such an old-world feel, I found 1-2 minutes for the hot water to kick in perfectly acceptable. The water pressure in the shower was just right. The drain was a little slow, but the water didn't pool above my toes, so it wasn't an issue. All the complimentary amenities (except for the hairdryer) were quite refined. I don't understand why they still use an old-fashioned hairdryer – that's my only query. The bedding was comfortable, and the mattress provided excellent support, allowing me to have a wonderful night's sleep. They even delivered a birthday cake twice, which was a lovely touch. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied, and I'll definitely recommend this hotel as my top choice for friends or family visiting Shanghai in the future.

We initially booked an 80-square-meter room, but after seeing the hotel, we wanted to upgrade to their most iconic sea-view room. So, we upgraded directly to a sea-view suite. Although it cost a bit more, we felt the upgrade was definitely worth it. The room's view was truly stunning. The floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room offered an unparalleled vista, with panoramic views of Victoria Harbour. The bedroom had both sea and mountain views, each offering a unique charm day and night. Even the bathtub provided an incredible view. In a place where every inch is precious like Hong Kong, such a living experience felt particularly valuable. The entire hotel staff was warm, polite, and paid great attention to detail. From the concierge to the front desk and restaurant staff, everyone provided thoughtful, professional, and enthusiastic service. A special thank you to Vanessa for meticulously arranging various matters for us, handling many small requests, and even thoughtfully providing little gifts. There was a pleasant surprise every day when we returned to the room. The breakfast was à la carte, and even after four consecutive days, the taste remained excellent. The location is superb, just a short walk to Pacific Place, making it a perfect spot for those who love to shop. This stay completely eliminated any sense of unfamiliarity in a strange city; it felt more like having a comfortable home away from home. Overall, it was an incredibly pleasant and fulfilling stay. We will definitely prioritize The Upper House on our next visit to Hong Kong.

You'll find many foreigners there, so it's a great place to eat and explore, experiencing the diverse mix of people in HK! Fifth, it's very kid-friendly! This time, I brought my child to experience Hong Kong's Chiikawa event. The hotel saw my child's Usagi doll and specially left a card with a picture of Usagi and a surprise St. Regis bear in the room. My child was absolutely thrilled! 👍 See the last photo! I came here because it's widely regarded as one of the top luxury hotels in Guangzhou, but I ended up quite disappointed. The views are undeniably stunning—perched high above the city—the room decor was lovely, and the Executive Lounge had a decent selection. Unfortunately, everything else was problematic. First, elevators in modern high-rise hotels are usually very fast, but Four Seasons Guangzhou has the slowest ones I’ve ever experienced. It takes about a second per floor, meaning over a minute just to reach the lobby, which made picking up food deliveries a real hassle. Second, the service awareness was mediocre at best. Staff rarely responded when I thanked them multiple times. Turndown service didn't arrive until almost 9:00 PM, which is unusually late compared to other hotels. At the time, I was playing mobile games on the toilet with the bathroom door open. I explicitly told the attendant I was using the restroom, yet he walked right into the bathroom anyway, which was extremely awkward. On top of that, the turndown service itself was lackluster—the bed wasn't properly turned down, and the curtains weren't drawn (in the end, I couldn't even figure out how to close them myself). Only the doormen showed decent hospitality. Third, the bathroom design here has to be the worst I've encountered in any domestic luxury hotel. There’s no power outlet for the hairdryer by the vanity, no trash can in the toilet stall, and the smart toilet kept opening and closing randomly on its own. The bottom of the bathtub was damaged, and there are far too many unlabeled knobs and switches, turning everything into a guessing game. The worst part was the shower: one knob was extremely loose while the other was jammed tight. Even as a grown man using considerable force, I couldn't budge it to turn on the water. In the middle of the night, I had to call an attendant, who had to muscle it open with brute force—no ordinary guest would risk forcing it like that. The drainage was also faulty; soapy water wouldn't drain, making the marble floor dangerously slippery and a major safety hazard. It was a truly dreadful shower experience. Fourth, the room has an overwhelming number of switches. The master switch only turns off the bedroom lights, so you still have to get out of bed to switch off the walk-in closet and bathroom lights. I couldn't find the curtain controls either, unless they're strictly manual. The wall sockets were loose, the bedside rotary light switches were inconvenient, and the hardware overall is definitely showing its age. For a hotel that charges 4,000 RMB a night even during the off-season, this bathroom experience is utterly unacceptable. I have never had such a terrible bathroom experience at any five-star hotel in China. I truly hope management takes these issues seriously.

The hotel is convenient for attending concerts. Although there's a shuttle service at 4:30 PM, I'd still recommend taking a taxi there yourself so you can arrive earlier and explore, shop, and eat at the Universiade Sports Center. It's especially hard to get a taxi back, so you can use the hotel shuttle for your return. The hotel is very large and looks quite new. The room was also spacious with a nice view, and the service was good. When I called the front desk for something, the staff delivered it pretty quickly. The disposable slippers were of good quality. It was quiet at night; my room was near the elevator but I didn't hear any noise, so the soundproofing is decent.

This time, my Trip.com booking was a bit odd, split into two parts, so I guess I'll write a bit more. The executive lounge service was excellent, and the coffee was great! As for the room, after the upgrade, it was incredibly spacious! From one direction, you could even see the Ping An Finance Centre, Shenzhen's tallest landmark. A small detail, it seems the hair dryer has been upgraded to a Dyson, which is quite good. One evening, I got back late, so I just had a quick bite at the Japanese restaurant on the 6th floor, which was surprisingly good. The ingredients seemed very fresh, and I didn't feel heavy after eating. Breakfast at the 29th-floor executive lounge lasts a bit longer than the 6th-floor, until 11 AM. After my morning workout, I went up at exactly 11 AM, which was a bit late, but Ms. Carrie was very patient and asked the chef to make me an omelette, which was very kind. Check-out was also very smooth. Looking forward to my next stay!

Honestly, the service team was so inconsistent it was speechless, with too many frustrating examples to list 😅. The concierge downstairs was excellent, and the lobby front desk staff were professional and good. However, the room attendants seemed quite young, possibly untrained, and their compensation might be average. They were completely clueless about the binoculars, laundry service, and minibar 😅. The male staff at the fitness center were very enthusiastic and provided professional and thorough guidance. But the changing room cleaner, an old man, would work right next to you, silently trying to shoo you away, and when asked a question, his tone was sarcastic… My companion mentioned that the female attendants were bad, ignoring her and chatting/playing on their phones nearby. I also observed the same situation during my visit 😅. The afternoon tea at the lounge was quite sparse (though it seemed better for foreigners**), but the evening service and food quality were excellent and attentive. Overall, if I hadn't been unable to book at Dongwan, I wouldn't have bothered going here. Every staff member at breakfast was professional, thumbs up. Some facilities in the executive room were showing their age; the minibar had a rusty smell 😂, likely due to prolonged disuse without replacement, but the room attendant was still enthusiastic. The hallway carpet was old, and the air freshener had an unsettling, somewhat rancid smell. Overall, for 5k a night, it felt worse than some 2k-3k-a-night hotels. To an NPC, this is the most disappointing fan I've ever stayed at. Now I understand why my boss specifically said not to sign a contract with this place.

We finally booked a villa that satisfied our boss and colleagues. It looked great in photos, was very clean, and had plenty of activities—everything we needed. We spent the whole day at the villa. We had a meeting in the afternoon, a barbecue in the evening, and the butler and housekeeper provided excellent service. The breakfast was also good. Everyone was very satisfied!

This hotel is elegant and full of exquisite details. Whether it is the lobby, the room or even the elevator, I was amazed by the artistic atmosphere. The scones in the cafe on the first floor are delicious and recommended to try, but I think there is room for improvement in the pancakes. The water volume in the bath and shower in the bathroom is extremely large. The Beverly Hills community atmosphere is very friendly and the residents are very polite. Strangers will say hello in the elevator and ”ladies first”.
