Phi Phi Islands Resorts review

Guest UserOUTRIGGER Phi Phi Island Resort left me with the exact emotions that make me want to return to Thailand again and again.
From the very first moments, you feel the high level of service and an incredibly warm atmosphere. The staff here truly goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable and carefree. Genuine smiles, attention to detail, and care in every interaction – this is what creates a true sense of hospitality.
The resort itself is absolutely beautiful and harmonious: well-maintained grounds, stylish architecture, and an atmosphere of tranquility and seclusion. They've managed to preserve the feeling of a tropical island while adding modern comfort and aesthetics.
The restaurant deserves special mention. The service was superb – professional, attentive, and very pleasant. Every visit left nothing but positive impressions. The breakfasts were magnificent: a wide selection, fresh ingredients, excellent quality dishes, and very beautiful presentation.
I particularly remember a dessert the chef prepared right in front of me. It was tiramisu – incredibly delicate, perfectly balanced, and, without exaggeration, one of the best I've ever tasted. It was clear how much attention and love they put into even these small details.
It's the people who make this place special. The entire staff creates an atmosphere of calm, comfort, and genuine care, making the vacation feel truly exceptional.
Thank you to the entire team at OUTRIGGER Phi Phi Island Resort for a wonderful experience and an unforgettable atmosphere. This is a place I truly want to return to.

Guest UserI arrived at Phi Phi by ferry from Phuket, and at the pier, someone was waiting with a sign bearing the hotel's name (he probably meets every ferry, as I didn't specify my arrival time). After a five-minute wait for all the tourists, we took a boat taxi to the hotel. They helped with the suitcases (loading them onto the boat), and the ride was about 5 minutes at most. Transfers to the hotel from the pier and back to the pier upon checkout are free.
I received a room upgrade because my original room was occupied, but it was for the best. They gave me a spacious room, though it was at the very top. Getting there required some effort, walking uphill, but it's good to not just relax all the time! This was all compensated for by the amazing view of the pristine Long Beach. There's a steep path down to this beach right behind the building, but everyone uses it.
The room was spotless, with 2 bottles of water daily, clean white linens, and a comfortable bed. The bathroom had a window overlooking the beach, and there was a hammock on the balcony. In the morning, a family of three monkeys visited me, so it's important to keep the doors closed and not leave things on the balcony. The baby monkey played with my swimsuit but must not have liked it, as he left it for me! It was beautiful; thinking back, I want to return.
Breakfasts included scrambled eggs, pancakes, cheese, sausages, vegetables, bread, salad, pastries, fruits, and juices – pretty standard for Thailand, and everything was delicious.
On the beach, there's sand, but to the left, there are rocks and corals. I snorkeled there (they provide masks, but I had my own). There were many fish of all sizes; the snorkeling was excellent.
You can get to the pier by boat taxi, which costs 150 baht during the day and 250-300 baht after dark (you can haggle for the return trip at the pier). There's a 7/11 at the pier if you need to buy anything.
In the evening, there's live music at the hotel restaurant, and on some days, they have fire shows. It's very quiet at the hotel in the evenings.

FraybentoHere’s a polished review you can post:
Really enjoyed our stay at ChaoKoh Phi Phi Hotel & Resort. The highlight was definitely the swimming pool — absolutely stunning, beautifully maintained and a great place to relax during the day. The hotel has a fantastic location, close to everything while still feeling like a relaxing place to come back to. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the overall atmosphere was excellent. Would happily stay here again when visiting Phi Phi!
Aiziyoudemengxiaomao
AiziyoudemengxiaomaoExtremely satisfied! Five stars is the maximum rating here, but not the hotel's maximum potential, if you know what I mean!
First, the hotel is just 50 meters to the right after disembarking from the pier. No need for further transfers, which saves a lot of time and hassle, especially since you don't have to climb any stairs. From what I observed, many hotels on the island, especially resorts, require you to climb stairs even if staff are assisting with transportation.
Second, the hotel's sea-view rooms have balconies with lounge chairs, and the view is dotted with longtail boats – absolutely beautiful! It was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the scenery after a day of activities.
Third, the room was spacious and clean, with very new facilities. The subtle scent of aromatherapy was very pleasant, and the room looked exactly like the photos on their official website.
Fourth, it offers great value for money and includes breakfast. There's a wide selection of fruits, bread, coffee, juice, fried rice, fried noodles, and desserts. You can also order omelets and ham for free, and the breakfast area is a sea-view restaurant!
Fifth, the location is incredibly convenient. You can catch a boat to Long Beach right outside, walk 300 meters for kayaking, and there are plenty of restaurants and massage places nearby. Plus, there are two 7-Eleven stores within 100 meters – super convenient!
Finally, and very importantly, I saw some reviews mentioning discrimination against Chinese guests, but I didn't experience anything like that at all. Everyone was equally friendly. I had emailed the hotel in advance, explaining that my parents are elderly and need extra care, requesting adjacent rooms with good balcony views. The hotel replied promptly and thoughtfully arranged everything. When we arrived at the front desk around 11 AM, they immediately brought us welcome drinks and even had one room cleaned for us so my parents could check in early and rest! The entire trip was wonderful!
If I had to mention a downside, it would be the lack of a swimming pool. But honestly, when you're on Koh Phi Phi, who needs a pool?! There was also a little bit of noise, as it's close to the pier, but the hotel's floor-to-ceiling windows provided excellent soundproofing, so I didn't find it disturbing at all. Other than that, it's all positives!
In short, our two-day trip to Koh Phi Phi was made even more enjoyable and happy thanks to this hotel!
francois brouillette
francois brouilletteUnfortunately, I have two extremely negative points to share about this hotel:
The room advertised on Trip.com and all other online travel sites states it's 36SQM, but the truth is that the actual measured area is only 18SQM. All rooms in the hotel are this size. This extremely small room doesn't even allow for proper luggage storage, except on the bed or piled up on the floor near the entrance door. The space between the two single beds is only 30 centimeters, so imagine trying to move around at night to get to your bed.
If I had known the actual size, I would never have booked this room. It's ridiculous and misleading for the hotel to provide such incorrect information to travel sites. The reception told me that the 36SQM includes the balcony and the terrace around the villa. Since when do outdoor spaces count as part of the room size??? And the balcony is only 5 SQM, so even including that, it only comes to 23 SQM in total, still far from the advertised 36SQM. The hotel is clearly lying to falsely attract customers. There's no possible solution on the hotel's website because all rooms are similar.
Furthermore, the soundproofing is non-existent. So, you can hear your neighbor's conversations at any time of day or night. You can almost talk from one room to another without raising your voice. It's ridiculous. I could hear the neighbors (children and adults) talking at 11 PM or midnight in their language.
I absolutely do not recommend this hotel unless you enjoy 18SQM rooms with no interior mobility and no soundproofing.

Guest UserThis hotel on Phi Phi Island was a fantastic stay overall. Each room is a standalone bungalow, and many have been recently renovated, giving them a fresh and stylish look that I really appreciated. With two beachfront pools, it truly feels like a perfect vacation getaway. I'd recommend staying for at least two nights, as getting here can be a bit of a journey – first a bus to the pier, then a speedboat for about 1.2 hours, which can be a bit of a hassle. So, definitely plan for a longer stay to make it worthwhile. The hotel is surrounded by a small village, making it convenient for dining and renting longtail boats. What's great is that it's not overly commercialized like Tonsai Pier; it has a wonderful secluded vibe, perfect for a relaxing holiday. I'd even say it's a great alternative to The Racha on Racha Island, which might be a bit pricier due to its closer proximity.
DANIIAR.A
DANIIAR.AI really loved this hotel, the views are stunning!!! The service is top-notch! You can only get to the hotel by longtail boat. If you book through the hotel, it's 1400 baht, but you can also easily catch one for 1500 baht when you arrive at Tonsai Pier. Upon check-in, they provide access to an app where you can find all information and services, including a chat feature. They also offer some pretty good discounts.

Guest UserOverall, I really enjoyed everything. The beach is gorgeous, even with boats constantly passing by. The water is clear, the sand is white, and sometimes fish swim close to shore. Relatively nearby, there are reef sharks (harmless to humans). You can go there by boat or risk swimming alone (not recommended) as there can be strong currents. My impression of the hotel is good, but don't expect 5 stars; the hotel is a bit run-down. It's a good island hotel. Breakfasts are good, although the selection is limited. There are places to eat on the beach.

Guest UserThe location here is great… however we encountered a few problems.
1) the place is riddled with mosquitoes i walked away from 3 nights with 24 bites and they are big bites. I know this is not the properties fault but maybe making sure there’s no gaps in the door to allow ways in or shutting the patio door once cleaned rather than leaving with a gap.
2) the room are very outdated and a bit dirty, we had fresh mouldy bedding on one day after the cleaners
3) We were on the ground floor with a patio sliding door that didn’t lock…. Easily accessible for anybody to walk in and take things etc
4) The pool and location are both fantastic hut i feel for the money we paid this was a bit of a rip off and something you expect in the depths of Thailand.Other Popular Hotels
