The room layout was well-designed, featuring a split-level setup that added depth and character. There was a tea table perfect for brewing, and they even provided a foot bath bucket with herbal foot soaks, along with complimentary Coke and Sprite. Breakfast was decent. The service attitude was excellent. The hotel's central location in the city is a big plus, very close to Chunxi Road Pedestrian Street, which is easily accessible on foot for shopping and enjoying local delicacies.

Booked this place based on a recommendation from a friend, and honestly, everything was pretty good for our two-night stay. My only minor complaint was the kettle; it had a lot of dust inside when I went to use it. Perhaps it's not frequently used by guests, but it still needs to be cleaned. During our stay, we accidentally stained the sheets and a chair, and someone came very quickly to take care of it, and we were promptly informed of the outcome – excellent service. Even though we stayed for two consecutive nights, the cleaning staff were very quick to respond when they saw the 'Please clean' sign. Thumbs up!

I booked this hotel for my trip, and the location is fantastic – right in the city center with tons of dining options nearby. There's even a decent hotpot place right by the subway entrance. The staff here are incredibly thoughtful and responsible. As someone new to the area, they were always ready to answer any questions I had, making for a truly wonderful experience. The rooms are spotlessly clean. It was really heartwarming to be greeted so warmly by the cleaning staff in the hallway every time – it genuinely felt like a home away from home. The front desk team was also incredibly thoughtful. They even offer a laundry service, washing and drying clothes if you're too busy sightseeing, and folded everything neatly in a basket – a truly thoughtful touch. There's also complimentary self-service freshly ground coffee in the lobby, and a cup before heading out in the morning is just what you need to feel refreshed. All in all, I had a very comfortable stay, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Chengdu.

Not only is the hotel environment good, but my sister Xiao Yang at the front desk is also great. They also brought us children's slippers and toothbrushes. It was really kind of her to check if we have eaten as our check in arrival was at the middle of the night. Very polite , mindful customer service young girl, she definitely gave us a a truly amazing and memorable hospitality for our first trip to ChengDu, China. Whenever she’s on her shift, she will always double check if everything was alright with our stay and our day trip. The hotel location is amazing too. Finally got to experience the InterContinental, located in what's said to be the world's second-largest single building, a place I'd been eyeing for a while. Reviews online were quite polarized, but my actual experience far exceeded expectations. Walking into the lobby, it felt like a grand, classic five-star hotel with impressive public areas. As a Platinum member, I chatted with them in advance and was upgraded to a courtyard suite on the first floor of Zone A. Arriving at night, the public areas did feel a bit eerie once the lights were off. However, in the daytime, the room's small courtyard and the public spaces immediately gave off a resort vibe, reminding me of hotels in Sanya. The room itself had no musty smell and was reasonably well-maintained, not as dated as I'd imagined, though it was a minor disappointment that the Jacuzzi wasn't working. Due to its longitudinal layout and being on the first floor with a courtyard outside, the room was a bit dim. The poolside breakfast was incredibly unique, transporting me back to the Mandarin Oriental in Sanya. The food quality was excellent, and they also offered an à la carte menu. There are hot spring pools for relaxing, and the swimming pool is large and quite deep. The semi-open-air gym is also a standout feature. It's just a 5-minute walk to the Ocean Park and Global Shopping Center within the building, offering plenty of entertainment. Considering the price point, I highly recommend it for first-time visitors looking to check it out and for locals wanting a staycation.

Traveling all the way from Beijing with my child, I initially had some doubts, but it turned out to be a holiday that exceeded my expectations. We didn't book a family room, but the housekeeper, knowing we had a child, thoughtfully installed a foldable bed rail. All the facilities in the room were high-quality: a private hot spring that could be refilled in 5 minutes, Toto bathroom fixtures, a Dyson hairdryer... I have to say, B&B Inn has truly mastered every detail. Even more impressive were our housekeepers, Niannian and Qingcheng. From check-in, they meticulously met our every request. The level of service and quality was something we had never experienced at any other guesthouse. In the evenings, they even arranged bonfire karaoke, free snacks, and barbecue. The hote reception is very helpful and the check in are easy and fast! They can accept and kept your parcel from taobao in advance too!! The breakfast is good and it provides vegetarian options. The sweetened soft tofu is so nice. The coffee is also good! The room is spacious and the smart toilet is the best feature! We got a room with a bathtub only that there was no door so we had to take turns to use the bathtub privately. The room is a little bit cold for us though the heater was set for 30 Celsius but it shows that room temp was 24 Celsius (its still cold for us Malaysian!) the hotel also provide free laundry facilities to be used! Overall our stay in this hotel is highly recommended! Only that there was no muslim/halal eateries nearby and if you coming back to the hotel early, just pack some halal food in advance. I went there specifically for the private hot spring, paying over 900 yuan for the room, but the private hot spring was a disaster. The water was scalding hot; after half an hour, I realized the tap hadn't been turned off. The worst part is, the butler had to use a key to open a hidden door to turn it off! 😮💨 And then the water was scalding hot, impossible to soak in. Yes, you can't adjust the water temperature, you can't add cold water, you can only wait for it to cool down naturally! Naturally cool down?! How difficult is it to install a cold water pipe? After waiting another half hour, the butler brought buckets of cold water, one by one, adding it – isn't that amazing? It was past 8 pm, and after all that trouble, I finally got to soak at 10 pm, and it was still unbearably hot. I almost caught a cold, and I completely lost my appetite. I had to leave early in the morning, and the hot water wasn't even hot enough! This experience was truly awful. I hope the hotel improves this quickly, otherwise, it's a waste of the decor and style!

Facilities: Relatively complete. The living room has a projector, the bedroom has a TV, and there's a private hot spring. Cleanliness: The room was very clean and hygienic. We finally got the kids a bath. The room was quite wet, so we asked the cleaning lady to come and clean it up. She came right away and was very helpful. Environment: The hotel environment is very nice and quiet. There were even squirrels in the woods. Service: The butler was very patient, helping with parking, carrying luggage, and putting it in the car. He even picked fresh plums for me and gave the kids a panda-shaped playpen. Jiuyan Bridge/Sichuan University Area Chengdu|2.5km from city center
Having been thoroughly impressed by the food and service at the Horizon Club of Shangri-La Hotel on my last visit, I didn't hesitate to choose Shangri-La Chengdu again for this trip. Firstly, a big thank you to Ms. Lu, who was previously the Horizon Club manager and has now been promoted to Front Office Manager. Her warmth and helpfulness in securing a satisfactory room for us, along with complimentary fruit and local Sichuan snacks, and arranging a late check-out, set a wonderful tone for our entire journey. Strategically located near Jiuyan Bridge and the famous Lan Kwai Fong bar street, the hotel boasts a vibrant atmosphere and unbeatable night views. However, it's a bit of a distance from the nearest metro station. The Horizon Club's 'Happy Hour' offerings are incredibly diverse and plentiful, almost like a mini-buffet, with the cakes and desserts being particularly delightful. On the other hand, breakfast was relatively simple with fewer options. My beloved handmade steamed buns weren't as tasty as before, and they felt cold, possibly having sat out for too long, which affected the texture. I'm not sure why the brown sugar glutinous rice cakes (hongtang ciba) were soft throughout, lacking their usual crispy exterior. The Eggs Benedict were inconsistent; on the second morning, the egg was overcooked with no runny yolk, just a solid egg yolk, and the accompanying bread was unappetizing. Furthermore, the egg tarts were cold and not kept under a heat lamp, and the bread station seemed to lack even basic items like muffins, which felt a bit perfunctory. Restaurant management might need some improvement; during breakfast, I noticed a whole stack of plates still had water marks, indicating they hadn't been dried properly. Nevertheless, the service staff at the Horizon Club were excellent – friendly, courteous, quick to clear dishes, attentive to guests' needs, and particularly Ms. Liu Chun, the current Horizon Club manager, who was constantly busy, very dedicated and responsible. I also checked out the coffee shop on the ground floor. While the selection of dishes was indeed more extensive, it was also very crowded and noisy. The staff member who greeted us was still very enthusiastic despite knowing we were just looking around, though some other staff members appeared cold and unresponsive. Room service was excellent – very responsive and quick to fulfill requests. When they learned we needed to air out clothes, they thoughtfully brought a drying rack, which was a very considerate touch! Room maintenance was also good, with an automatic toilet and a Dyson hairdryer. The gym isn't open 24 hours; it closes after 11 PM, and guests cannot access it with their room cards after hours, which felt a bit restrictive for those wanting to work out later. In summary, this stay brought both joy and disappointment. I hope the hotel continues to improve and enhance its services, ensuring its long-term success and continued excellence.

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! It's just a short walk to Taikoo Li and Chunxi Road Pedestrian Street, and it’s super convenient for taxis and the subway. The area downstairs is very lively, and there are even street food stalls at night. The room was clean and had no strange odors, which I really appreciated. I honestly can't stand rooms where the bedding, pillows, and curtains reek of smoke, but this hotel was perfect – not a hint of any smell! When I arrived, the staff in the lobby helped me with my luggage and offered me water. Check-in was incredibly fast, and the front desk staff were all so good-looking and had excellent service attitudes! I started feeling unwell with a cold and sore throat after arriving, so I casually asked if they had a humidifier. Within a minute, a staff member brought one to my room! It was so touching; many hotels don't even have humidifiers. This is the only hotel I've stayed in recently that did, and it honestly saved my life, haha. The biggest surprise, though, was the laundry service. Staff came to collect my clothes for washing, and after they were washed, dried, ironed, and neatly folded in a bag, they were delivered back to me. The clothes were soft, fragrant, and still warm – simply amazing! 👍🏻 Breakfast is on the 30th floor with a great variety of options, and the restaurant environment is lovely. I particularly enjoyed the noodles! They also have freshly squeezed juice, like that sweet and tangy orange juice that isn't watered down or thickened. Every single staff member I encountered, from the front desk to the restaurant, room service, and even the laundry lady, always had a smile on their face and was incredibly friendly. You could tell that even though their work might be busy and trivial, every single person radiated a positive, lively energy! They truly seemed to genuinely enjoy serving guests from the heart; you could feel their sincere work ethic, not just a perfunctory attitude. This was a stark contrast to a hotel I stayed at in Guanghan, so I absolutely have to praise this hotel and share some real photos. My fellow travelers, you can book with confidence! First of all, I'd like to thank the young lady at the front desk. She was incredibly helpful on the phone, guiding our ride-hailing driver to the apartment entrance, and then upgraded our room for free during check-in, even throwing in an extra day of complimentary double breakfast for us. **Amenities**: The room itself was very satisfying – incredibly spacious with complete facilities. While the furniture was a bit dated, all the appliances were top brands like Bose, Dyson, Electrolux, and Sony. The breakfast spread was comprehensive, offering both Chinese and Western options, and even some hot dishes. The hotel's location is downtown; although not as bustling as Chunxi Road, the apartment is inside Raffles City, and the subway station is just across the square. Simple shopping and getting around were quite convenient. **Suggestions**: Recently, Raffles City switched the entrance and exit for motor vehicles, causing navigation systems to consistently misdirect us to the wrong apartment entrance, leading to a lot of unnecessary hassle. I suggest the apartment and various navigation systems update the new routes. One thing I absolutely have to complain about is that the cold air conditioning system in the room was completely shut off. The room was so hot that we didn't get any good rest during our stay. I've never encountered this issue at other brand hotels I've stayed at; guests have always been able to adjust the temperature to be warmer if they felt cold, or cooler if they felt hot. There was never a situation where the room 'decided' it was cold for the guest, and that was that. I don't know if this is an unwritten rule for all apartments, so I'll just consider it 'when in Rome' this time. I won't give a low rating (as other aspects were well done), but I must point this out in the review. If this policy doesn't change, I definitely won't consider staying at your apartment again in the same month, even though I'm very satisfied with the room type, value for money, and everything else. After all, a comfortable rest is the most important thing. Finally, a piece of advice unrelated to the stay experience, for friends planning to visit Chengdu: If you have a choice, pick Shuangliu Airport over Tianfu. Shuangliu is very close to the city center. If you're flying into Tianfu, it's best to book your airport transfers in advance through Ctrip or other platforms.

Room Type: Two-bedroom suite. I booked it specifically for the antique bed, and it certainly lived up to expectations. Service: I made a note beforehand requesting a room with an antique bed, and they accommodated it perfectly. However, there was no call before check-in. Arriving late at night, the staff helped carry luggage up and down, which was a lot of work for them. But as for exceptional warmth in service, I didn't quite experience that. Facilities: Since it's a renovated old courtyard, some of the facilities are a bit dated, though still functional. For those who prioritize modern outlets and showers, you might want to reconsider. In the outer room, I only found one outlet on each side of the bed. The shower water temperature was excellent, but the spray from the showerhead was a bit diffused. Also, the two-bedroom suite has only one bathroom, located in the inner room. There's no door between the inner room and the bathroom, so anyone from the outer room wanting to use the restroom would have to walk through the inner bedroom. Cleanliness: Perhaps because it's a two-story house, the space isn't very large. There was a faint smell of the drain in the bathroom, but it was masked by air fresheners, so it was acceptable. Environment: Located within Wenshu Monastery, both the surrounding area and the courtyard environment are very pleasant. If you have time, it's a great place to relax for a couple of days. It's also just a stone's throw from Liyuan Guild Hall, making it very convenient for catching a show.

I messaged the hotel's customer service on WeChat, and they promptly informed me they were working on it, which I completely understood. The next day, it was fixed and I was notified immediately, and they even sent a small gift. Whether it was the front desk, housekeeping, or the WeChat customer service whom I never met in person, everyone gave me a feeling of happiness, and communication was incredibly smooth. The cleanliness of the guesthouse reminded me of hotels in Japan. Although vintage, it was clean, tidy, and comfortable. They didn't cut corners just because the facilities were older. The glass in the rooms and bathrooms, in particular, was sparkling clean, giving an immediate sense of freshness and comfort upon entering. We ordered breakfast at the hotel, and the desserts on the cart by the breakfast restaurant entrance changed daily, which was a pleasant surprise. The Western breakfast was incredibly rich, and the Chinese breakfast was very distinctive. The Sichuan-style douhua xiaomian (tofu pudding noodles) was delicious – I highly recommend everyone try it. Surrounding the hotel are various old Chengdu eateries, and if you get tired of those, you can always order all sorts of takeout. It's simply wonderful! 🤩🤩 On the last day, the hotel's WeChat account even sent a thoughtful reminder about the possibility of a late check-out. So considerate! ❤️ Many thanks to everyone for their hard work and service. Hope to see you again next time! ❤️

This is my umpteenth stay at the Ritz-Carlton Chengdu, and the standards are consistently excellent. During check-in, a friendly young man named Luca brought me some herbal tea. After a brief chat, he later delivered a thoughtful, handwritten welcome card to my room before dinner. Of all the five-star and ultra-five-star hotels I've stayed at in Chengdu, the Ritz-Carlton's Executive Lounge offers the most attentive service. From breakfast at 6:30 AM right through to evening desserts at 10 PM, they continuously provide a wonderful array of thoughtful services. I've included some photos of the breakfast and dinner spreads – they're incredibly rich and varied. Plus, for both lunch and dinner, they offer two freshly prepared dishes, like duck breast and pasta, made to order. Every staff member I encountered in the Executive Lounge was exceptionally warm, attentive, proactive, and anticipated my needs. Of course, breakfast is also available at the main restaurant in the lobby on the 25th floor. The variety there is truly astounding; just the noodle bar alone offers six different options (as shown in the pictures). I ate so much that morning, I didn't want to leave. All in all, this is the best hotel experience I've had in Chengdu. Honestly, the price isn't even that high, making it excellent value for money. I will definitely choose to stay here again.

A St. Regis for a three-digit price per night is incredible value for money! Even though it's been open for over 10 years, the room amenities are still top-notch: a smart toilet, screen-mirroring TV, capsule coffee machine, electric curtains, and a spacious 60sqm room with a walk-in closet and a 2-meter king-size bed – everything you need. The butler service is very attentive; they proactively contacted me via WeChat the day before check-in to inform me about complimentary services, hotel restaurants, and fitness facilities. The snowflake shortbread served during turn-down service every night was absolutely delicious, and my butler, knowing I loved it, even made sure to leave extra in my room daily. After staying at the JW Marriott Chengdu Maoye, Grand Hyatt Chengdu, Hyatt Centric Chengdu, Shangri-La, and The Ritz-Carlton, the St. Regis still remains my top choice.

The hotel's service and facilities are quite good. I booked a classic room which included breakfast for two. Room facilities: The shower and toilet are separate, which is great for wet/dry separation. The only minor issue is that the shower doesn't have a door, so it can get a bit cold, but other than that, it's all very good. I really liked the sink design with a large mirror. The hotel corridors are carpeted, which does an excellent job of noise reduction. You won't be disturbed by footsteps while resting in your room. Breakfast: Their breakfast selection is very comprehensive, offering a full range of both Chinese and Western options.

The room was great! I was traveling with my parents and a child, and the hotel's location is excellent, right in the Chunxi Road business district, making it super convenient to get everywhere. The hotel staff were incredibly warm and attentive. From the moment we arrived, they helped open doors and carried our luggage, making everything hassle-free. Check-in was quick, and they even accommodated our request for two adjacent rooms. The hotel is very quiet, ensuring a good night's sleep, and the cleanliness was also impressive. Breakfast was fantastic, both the service and the food. Every staff member we encountered during our stay was so welcoming. I'd definitely want to stay here again next time I'm in Chengdu – it's truly wonderful. Oh, and the little panda gift we received when checking out was adorable; the child loved it!

The room was very modern, clean, dry, and spacious, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering a view of Chengdu Airport Terminal 1. The hotel's shuttle bus runs every half hour and gets you to the airport in just 5 minutes, which is super convenient for early morning flights – we caught the 5:30 AM bus. There are plenty of good food, drinks, and entertainment options nearby; the driver told us it's because there's a university close by, haha. We even ordered a lot of late-night takeout, which was very easy. The hotel environment is great, and the front desk and concierge staff were all very polite. Picture five shows the bellboy helping us take our luggage up to the room, he was very attentive!

Facilities: Brand new. Cleanliness: The carpets and hallways were spotless and cleaned daily. Service: Superb! Any request was attended to immediately. My family and I spent Chinese New Year in Chengdu, and our temple-view room offered a full panoramic view of Daci Temple and the Taikoo Li shopping complex. Getting around was incredibly convenient. The room had excellent soundproofing – we experienced no noise whatsoever during our stay. The bed was also high quality, with no sagging or deformation. Upon checking in, I immediately added the butler's contact information. A special shout-out to Julie & Lily for their quick responses and immediate assistance with anything we needed. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Chengdu.

I bought a pre-sale package during the Double Twelve sale, which included a two-night stay with breakfast – the price was quite good. It's right next to Metro Line 2 and just one stop from Chunxi Road, so it's fairly convenient if you plan on using the subway frequently. The hotel is a little old, and the facilities show some age; the room wasn't very big, just okay. The front desk upgraded me to a deluxe twin room, which was on a higher floor and offered views of the Jinjiang River. There are plenty of restaurants and eateries nearby, though mostly smaller establishments. The breakfast was pretty good for this price point, quite generous, and tasted nice. Overall, it offers good value for money, but it really depends on your personal budget.

For this family trip, I traveled with my two kids and my mom. First off, I spent quite a while choosing the hotel. I compared several options based on our transportation, destinations, and hotel reviews (bed size, breakfast variety, location convenience, price), and finally settled on this one. I was a bit apprehensive after seeing some negative reviews, but after checking in, I honestly feel like writing a voluntary 'whitewash' review! We arrived at the hotel at 12:30 PM, and the doorman was still waiting for us. Check-in at the front desk was very quick, and they proactively offered us complimentary children's breakfasts. Entering the room, the best part for a family with two kids was definitely the two queen-sized beds. Also, the toilet, shower, and vanity areas were all separate, so light and sound didn't disturb anyone (I'm an early riser). The breakfast was delicious; it's rare for my kids to willingly eat a whole bowl of noodles and wontons each. Compared to resorts in Sanya, this is a standard star-rated hotel, and the breakfast is perfectly adequate, not lacking in variety (which was a concern after seeing some previous reviews). Finally, a special thank you to Lydia for her warm and proactive service. She was incredibly responsive to all our requests, whether it was for bed rails, children's toothbrushes, or latex pillows. No matter how late it was, she always arranged for them to be delivered immediately. I especially want to mention that the latex pillows, duvets, and mattresses were all quite comfortable. Highly recommend!

This is an established five-star hotel with a rich history and a very spacious layout. I was really looking forward to my trip here, especially since the breakfast offered a great variety of local Chengdu specialties. I was thrilled to try the *chaoshou* (wontons), *xiaomian* (noodles), and my absolute favorite, *dan hong gao* (a type of pancake), available in both sweet and savory versions. The fresh-squeezed fruit and vegetable juices were also a big plus! However, one particular incident has made me very hesitant to stay here again: bugs! The hotel upgraded me to an Executive King Room, and I was overjoyed, but on the very first day, I saw a bug right in front of me. I was terrified and didn't know what to do, so I called housekeeping. They told me it had been dealt with. The next day was even worse – I was bitten by bugs! While I was sleeping, I felt an itch from the bedding and initially thought it was an allergic reaction to detergent, so I slept in long sleeves. But when I woke up, my wrist had a bug bite. I requested a room change, and three different people kept calling me, seemingly without communicating with each other. Although there were no more itchy bedding or bugs after I changed rooms, I later discovered bug bites on my thigh when I showered, which must have been from the first two days. The housekeeping manager offered a travel-size toiletry set as an apology, which I wasn't entirely satisfied with, but I was in a hurry and didn't say anything. Then, because I had an early departure, I requested a packed meal for the road. I repeatedly confirmed this with the butler, but again, they didn't communicate. The next morning, when I called the front desk and the room service department, neither knew anything about it. Although I did get a very basic packed meal at the last minute – the simplest I've ever received from a star-rated hotel – I wasn't going to quibble. I just wanted to make my next connection smoothly. This entire experience at Jinjiang has really motivated me to write this review. I truly hope that a hotel with such historical value will significantly improve its hygiene and service, maintain its strengths, and address these obvious shortcomings!
