The hotel is old, so be prepared for very dated rooms. It is clean to some extent. Staff are extremely friendly and very hospitable. As for the breakfast, options were limited and repetitive so if you’re not too particular about it, then you should be fine. The non-buffet dishes from the restaurant itself is actually pretty decent. You’d normally expect high crazy prices for just a plate of char kuey teow at other hotels but the prices for the dishes here were very reasonable. One other thing I noted when walking to my room was, what I initially assumed, the smell of sewage wafting in the air, but it’s actually the kelapa sawit planted around the hotel and they emit very foul stenches. Thankfully, the smell doesn't seep into the room. Now the bad part that sort of ruined my time at the resort. They don’t maintain the beach, like at all. It’s clear that they do not clean up the trash on the beach nor do they comb it. Be prepared to get attacked by sand flies everywhere you go. There are so many of them that they can even be found by the pool area and the restaurant. I would’ve loved to enjoy more time just lazing under the sun, you know, the main purpose of going on a beach holiday but I couldn’t because I was essentially the feeding source for an army of sand flies. The pool doesn’t have a lot of shaded areas too so just ensure that you are covered with SPF from head to toe if you are prone to burning. As stated, it was a decent stay. I just wished they’d maintain the beach because the water in Labuan is nice, calm and clear.From$56

This is the second time I came here to stay, and I was given the same room. I was disappointed that the bathroom door in the room was broken and still not changed. If you push hard, the whole door will fall off🤦♀️ and the water hose next to the toilet wall fell off last time Yes, I still haven’t changed it this time, I’m a little disappointed, but the location of the hotel is very good, there are many gourmet restaurants nearby, and there are also many snack bars, so eating won’t make you a headache😊From$19

Check in is perfunctory, quite disinterested and doesn't have the welcoming experience. Rooms are showing some age, still somewhat clean. Mattress not as firm for a good night's sleep. To get the laundry list and bag seemed a real chore. It was not replenished when the room was cleaned when it should. Even after requesting in person at reception, had to call them again. Breakfast buffet is below par, basic Asian and some cereals. Their is no egss station. Once served poached eggs were practically uncooked, and the replacement took over half an hour. Under staffing. Stay for 2 nights here. Room was okay, the AC was good enough to spend the whole nights. The front office staff @ Misha was kind and cheerful. One can find a Mamak shop nearby and prices are affordable. It's a good place to stay here and I will not hesitate to come again if I have a chance to visit Labuan. SOLD OUT

The location is right in front of the financial tower, so it's perfect for errands in town.
The staff can make you feel that they have received professional education, and some of them are good at English, so you can receive polite support.
There are tower side and sea side rooms. We recommend the sea side.
The room itself was about 2 Japanese business hotel rooms, so I didn't feel any inconvenience.
It may not be suitable for those who came to Labuan for leisure, but it is a comfortable hotel after business.From$62

Had request an OKU room, i think it is the only OKU room from the hotel, need to inform hotel earlier.
It would be great if hotel can improve or increase more OKU room, had been there for few times and this is the only time i request the OKU room successfully.
If the toilet for OKU, would be suggest to make it spacious because the carer (in my case, is 2 carers) need to move the OKU from point A to point B.
However, hotel service and location is good and definitely will be there again.From$55

Stayed in Deluxe Queen Room Comfortable bed, clean room. A hairdryer is available but not strong enough. The only downside is you will not be able to sleep early here due to the singing from outside nearby pubs, bars, karaoke places until 2:30 am. Especially noisy on Friday nights. Saturday night was ok, noise level only until 1:30 am. If you are a family with kids, this is not a recommended place. Since I am a solo traveller and I don't sleep that early, so this hotel fit my budget and my condition for a good stay.From$16

The Hotel is well furnished and the staff are well trained. In all my interactions with the staff I have found them to be professional and courteous. As I am in a quarantine room the meals are provided in a plastic box and arrive fairly cold, however I understand that it is logistically impossible to provide steaming hot food to each room. Although the air conditioner is placed on the side of the bed, the air supply angle is set. Figure 4. A TV is installed on the wall facing the bed, and there is a kettle and coffee pods on the table in the corner of the room. The shooting position is the area where clothes hang in the suitcase (see Figure 1). Figure 5: There is no covering in the bathroom, and the water will spill out of the area when taking a bath. Toiletries provide body soap and shampoo. Water cups are provided but no toothbrush and toothpaste are provided. The water heater is of the instant-on and instant-heat type, and the switch must be turned on on the left side of the full-length mirror when in use. Please adjust the water temperature from low to high to avoid getting hot. Another: slippers are not provided in the room, please bring your own.From$18

Bathroom ceiling is bulging & bathroom wall marble is fungus. The TV desk, make up desk, & mini bar desk have a lot of mark especially from cigarette mark. The entrance mirror have a lot of marking, window glass have mark. They are no lift available in this building, then you’ve to climb to up stairs until 4th floor. This is my first stay at AZ Hotel. I used to stay at Labuan Point Hotel near the Labuan mosque. The wife n me comes to Labuan often to golf at Labuan International Golf Club n the very challenging 9 hole Labuan Golf Club. This hotel impressed me immediately. The bed was king size n the decor was minimalist n comfortable. Wifi in the room is very good. Its cheaper than the Labuan point hotel. There is ample facilities such as a mini bar,a safe,a TV n a good view out of the window. There are good restaurants at the lobby floor n good perfume shop as well. Night entertainment spots n lounges is just par 4 n par 5 away.There is a super market just across the road from the hotel in case u needed snacks or toothpaste etc. On the whole very impressive at a good price.i would have stated 5 stars but for a burnt out lamp at the dressing table!!! |10.55km from city centerThe hotel is old, so be prepared for very dated rooms. It is clean to some extent. Staff are extremely friendly and very hospitable. As for the breakfast, options were limited and repetitive so if you’re not too particular about it, then you should be fine. The non-buffet dishes from the restaurant itself is actually pretty decent. You’d normally expect high crazy prices for just a plate of char kuey teow at other hotels but the prices for the dishes here were very reasonable. One other thing I noted when walking to my room was, what I initially assumed, the smell of sewage wafting in the air, but it’s actually the kelapa sawit planted around the hotel and they emit very foul stenches. Thankfully, the smell doesn't seep into the room. Now the bad part that sort of ruined my time at the resort. They don’t maintain the beach, like at all. It’s clear that they do not clean up the trash on the beach nor do they comb it. Be prepared to get attacked by sand flies everywhere you go. There are so many of them that they can even be found by the pool area and the restaurant. I would’ve loved to enjoy more time just lazing under the sun, you know, the main purpose of going on a beach holiday but I couldn’t because I was essentially the feeding source for an army of sand flies. The pool doesn’t have a lot of shaded areas too so just ensure that you are covered with SPF from head to toe if you are prone to burning. As stated, it was a decent stay. I just wished they’d maintain the beach because the water in Labuan is nice, calm and clear.
