We have been in Paarl many times before, but have never stayed at Grand Roche before. Got a really good price on Booking.com and booked us in for two nights. The arrival was really nice, both at the gate and at the reception. I also asked them to put o bottle of MCC in the room when we got back - which they did( and a good one). Very nice room/suite, with an patio overlooking the vineyards on the estate. Very good beds and also very nice living room. The whole estate gives a luxury feeling ! The restaurant had recently been changed and are now called Viande and that is where the breakfast i served. The Viande is open for non guests as well - that the former restaurant didn't do. The breakfast was very good and it was nice to sit outside in the morning! We also had a massage that was booked via Grand Roche and the girl that did the massage was very good - so we can recommend that. We had a very nice stay at Grand Roche and it it hadn't been for the following, we have rated it with a 5. Reason is this: - The floor tiles in the shower was loose, so when standing on them, old water that smelled bad, popped up. - On the floor ,under the basin we also found ants that was dry, so been there for a while. Clearly - both things above should not to be found in a place like Grand Roche. Both things should have been noticed by the cleaning staff and taking care of by maintenance. When we left, the staff at reception was informed about the above issues. So for us, we truly hope that the above issues was a one time thing, so we can think of coming back to Grand Roche next time we are in Paarl.

Cape Vally Manor is a nice traditional bungalow, with secure parking, very convenient for Paarl centre and its surrounding vineyards. Our room was well furnished, with modern decor and a functional bathroom. The large and attractive lounge and dining room is available to guests, and has large patio windows overlooking the garden. There is an extensive choice for breakfast, and cooked food is freshly made to order, and served by the hosts. The garden and pool are very nice and there are seats and sun beds available for retaxing Our hosts, Ushi and Andy, are very sociable and helpful, providing information about the area, and they treat you more like friends than guests. We have stayed there before, and we are happy to keep returning

We enjoyed a lovely weekend stay at Nuwerus Lodge a week ago and were thoroughly spoilt with beautiful accommodation, delicious hearty breakfasts and a complete sense of commitment to our health and relaxation. Thank you to Jolanda who is a first-class host and we look forward to many more returns to this beautiful home away from home in the Cape Winelands ❤️

We booked on the day and arrived during a power outage so were not expected but were received graciously enough. The room was very basic, painted concrete floors, television attached to cupboard, linen on bed too minimal (only bottom sheet and duvet ( in the middle of summer!) a top sheet would have been appreciated as well as bigger and thicker towels. We opted to have the set evening 3 course meal which was tasty but not worth the R395 per person. The breakfast was also very average with hard cereals, limited bread options and difficulty obtaining a cup of tea. The staff however were friendly and kind.

Quiet and tucked away in the vineyards of Paarl. Quite secluded and I think it used to be called the Nwanedi which is what shows up on Google Maps which might help. The signs on the road do poi t to Cana though so keep your eyes peeled! The people are lovely and so helpful with restaurant recommendations and activities. Make sure you have a car otherwise getting around for dinner and wine tasting is difficult. Breakfast is worth going for. Lovely buffet of fruit and continental brekkie with full English available to order. Really beautifully laid out and tasty. Delicious salad lunches are available and with ingredients picked from the garden, it’s a really nice touch. The scenery is gorgeous, there’s a small pool that is obviously popular. Nice gardens for sunbathing and catches the sun all day. It’s slightly more pricey than we’d expect but we did visit between Christmas and New Year. Also we stayed in the suite which had a lovely little terrace with grapes hanging from the vine and a huge bathroom. 2 nights is great here but it seems many people do just one as a quiet stop before heading home. The owner is lovely and takes real pride in the guesthouse. She also has a lovely little sausage dog who comes to say hi.

Rhys and his wife are wonderful people who made us feel at home from the very first minute of our visit, Always friendly, extremely helpful and with a good sense of humor. Also their staff is very friendly and helpful. Beautiful rooms and a large pool with always sparkling clear water. The location is very quiet and ideal for excursions around the Western Cape, including Cape Town. We stayed four weeks at this fantastic place, so we know what we are talking about. There is not enough space in this review to mention all the highlights we've experienced at the A'Queenslin Guesthouse. We'll definitely visit this great place again. Thanks for making our holidays so special. Cornelia and Klaus

Had a very relaxing stay at Laborie Estate. Check in was quick and easy. The rooms are cosy and has a very classic look & feel to it. Each ‘cottage room’ has it’s own ‘stoep’ with gorgeous views. The Nespresso machine was a welcoming touch. They also have a variety of teas available. Breakfast was served in the manor house and was delicious. For the rate I paid, I will definitely be back.

A beautiful and scenic stopover in Paarl at d'Olyfboom with friendly and helpful staff, as well as views that will blow your mind they are so beautiful. I spent one night at d'Olyfboom recently and can highly recommend this as the perfect place to base yourself to explore the Paarl and surrounding areas. They are super family friendly, which is great and the view out over the vinyards and surrounding mountains is breathtaking. The rooms are beautifully decorated, with an eclectic mix of old and new furniture items, and the large bathroom featured striking tiling and wall art, which I loved. The farm breakfast was delicious and the entire experience was warm and welcoming from start to finish.

A pleasant guest house about 5 mins off the Main Street in Paarl, but be warned the street is about 7 miles long. The bedroom looked out onto a lovely gRden and pool. Service was good . Bedrooms were well equipped, apart from no ice, which the manageress was able to provide. An excellent stay
