Room is superb clean. Facilities are good. Location wise is far from tuan chau harbour & Bay chai harbour. Do not trust the transport that arrange by hotel's lady! Is not even taxi nor hotel's car, is a personal car who trying to charge high price. (1) We requested hotel to pick us up at 14km away from. Pre-comunicate via WhatsApp is 200k vnd, and when we arrived hotel, the guy intend to charge us 250k vnd but lastly we show him supporting proof & called hotel then only allowed 200vnd. (1) we also ask the hotel lady to book taxi from hotel to 6.1km away for where our bus pick us. Same guy again, with same trick. We ask the lady how much will be the cost , she ask us not to worry as is meter will 1km 12k vnd. Then we insist and the price range then she mentioned range 100k-150k. When end of the trip. We are asking to pay for 150k vnd without using meter. Conclusion, very nice & clean hotel but do not ask hotel reception for taxi. The location in that city I think is very good regarding sea view, some restaurants outside and you are very close to the ships leaving (it depends what you want... if you like City-like stay, you have to choose ankther locations but I think anyway the places are not so far away and easy to get everywhere (ok maybe in main season not so easy)
The hotel gave me immediately an upgrade, teh room was extremely big, clean ,the view very good. All you need, and breakfast was also okay. The only thing: there's an open disco 1 km away, very very loud still.. so I went to that place to check (in anger) but I found out: actually a nice place to visit, sitting outside at the beach hahaha so not that bad.

The hotel was grand. The swimming pool was great for the kids not a lot much else to do there. The golf was great for dad. We had to great game there and the views were fantastic, good value overall we enjoyed the hotel and the food was good, so we will go back and play another round of golf there and stay again. I came on a business trip, and it was so nice that it was a quiet villa rather than a complicated hotel.
If you book Royal Halong next time, I would definitely recommend the villa.
However, it was a little disappointing that I couldn't see out the window because it was on the first floor, and I couldn't easily open the window.

The experience itself was wonderful because the place is a paradise.
The staff service was very good and friendly, as is the case with all of Vietnam.
Something to keep in mind: meals are included, but drinks are not. We booked a package through Trip that included drinks and snacks in addition to meals. The only drinks included were two waters in the room; the rest were paid for, even the water.
Very unclear on Trip.
The hotel transfer to and from Hanoi included an unnecessary stop at a pearl market and then back at a souvenir shop.
Finally, the 2-day/1-night package would not be considered as such, as the cruise ship boards at 12:30 pm and returns to the port at 10:40 am.

The five-star cruise in Halong Bay is excellent. I booked it directly after seeing the available reservations on Ctrip, and subsequent communication was also very convenient! It was a very good experience, and the service was also very good. From boarding to disembarking, the arrival and departure of luggage were arranged, so I didn't have to drag my own luggage the entire time. When I checked in, they confirmed my name, assigned me a room, and gave me a room card. Upon arrival at the cruise, there was a welcome ceremony by the staff, who explained the schedule and itinerary one by one. Food, drinks, and other sightseeing and boating activities were all included in the fee, except for some items that required extra expenses, which were explained to you in advance. I've been travelling Asia for almost a year and this is by far my favourite place. The staff are lovely, the swimming pool incredible with great views and is overall the perfect place for a healthy lifestyle. The value for money is next to none, includes a really great breakfast buffet (eggs, baguettes, sausage, water melon, beef stew, pancakes, sticky rice, salad tea, coffee etc) all are cooked well and very taste.
Location is just a 5 minute walk from Sunworld theme Park. Can rent a bike directly from hotel.

We came to ha long to run the marathon and was welcomed by a very friendly and polite receptionist who let us use the bicycles free of charge to explore. The start point for the marathon was around 10km from lavander hotel and started at 4am so booking a grab taxi would be difficult. The hotel manager gave us the option to stay in an apartment much closer to the start point. It was a lovely apartment in a luxury building with great views and eith8n walking distance of the marathon. Very kind gesture which was very much appreciated in our situation. The beach isn't far from the hotel, but it's a bit small. If you prefer a nicer beach or want to stay longer in Halong, you should book a hotel further east of Halong City. The presidential suite we stayed in was amazing. I enjoyed the jacuzzi,massage chair and having fun at the mini golf on the balcony. It was a memorable and unforgettable trip for us. We have been from Beijing, Trip.com found this super cost-effective homestay online, with a high score and a low fee, more than 300 RMB a night. At first, I didn't dare to book. I went to see that the environment was better than the online photos. The roses were blooming and the butterflies were flying. 100 meters out is the street, sleep is very quiet at night. Breakfast is very good, everyone has two omelettes, Vietnamese drip coffee and green tea. The service staff is particularly friendly. When I left, the beautiful boss also helped to call the car. Very nice dormitory. The staff can hardly speak English or Japanese, but they are very kind. The dormitory feels more like a capsule hotel. There are only 2 washbasins and 2 toilet showers with washbasins, so there are not many toilet showers, but the hot water comes out well. Also, there was shampoo and conditioner, but for some reason there was no body soap. Breakfast was free and you could choose from several types, and I had bread and scrambled eggs. In addition, the hotel offers many Halong Bay tours, and I ordered a tour of Sung Sot Cave, Ti Top Island, boat tour, and lunch included (buses depart from and pick up at the hotel after the tour), and 800,000 VND, plus a bus to Hanoi ( This also starts and ends at a hotel (if it's in Hanoi's Old Quarter, we'll pick you up near the hotel you want to go to).I applied for a tour that cost 240,000 dong, totaling 1,040,000 dong (approximately 6,500 yen in Japanese yen), and I enjoyed it very much, so I decided to take this tour. If you are staying at a hotel, it is best to take the bus to the destination and then book the hotel tour and return bus. There were buses going to several destinations including Hue and Hanoi. I didn't think the temperature was in every room.
The restaurant staff in 2chung didn't speak English, so it was very uncomfortable to communicate with the translator.
The pool is less than 150, but it's deep in the low place, but the low place is too low and the high place is 1.55m so I can't enjoy it properly. ㅇㅇ Breakfast seems not bad
The pool view was really nice and the weather was not so good
We had almost 5 hours in the pool, and the staff was a bit uncomfortable to fix the lights in the pool all the time.

The cruise is very nice and clean. The room is spacious and has very nice view. The service is good. They have activities for guests to enjoy like kayaking, cooking class, and dark and bright cave visit. The food provided is somehow decent for me comparing to the price I paid. An excellent boat, nicely renovated with comfortable rooms and common space. The food was great. You pay for drinks except chilled water and basic tea/coffee/juice at breakfast.
Some fun activities throughout and reasonably priced. Our main guide was Quan or happy Buddha as he liked to be known and he was a lovely man and attentive.

Overall, I found this experience underwhelming. There were only a few activities, and two of the three were scheduled early in the morning (before 9 a.m.), which made them effectively unavailable for anyone who isn’t an early riser. The remaining activities were brief and not particularly engaging — it felt more like a dining cruise than a full excursion. From that perspective, the experience fell short of expectations.
The service also left room for improvement. The wait staff didn’t seem properly trained — for example, they struggled with something as simple as pouring a beer. The food prioritized quantity over quality, and I was surprised to see that different tables were served different dishes without ever being given menus or options. It seemed that choices were made for us based solely on allergies or dietary restrictions.
The cruise itself was stationary for much of the time, and the 50-minute tender ride each way made the journey feel unnecessarily long. When I tried to relax on the balcony, local vendors repeatedly approached the boat in small craft to sell items, which disrupted the atmosphere.

Upon reaching the dock, we were served politely by the staff. The room size was moderate and the bathtub in the bathroom was a plus.
