Perfect hotel for a solo light traveler. I had an overall good experience at the now NoHo, all staff were brilliant helpful and accommodating. They gave me great suggestions for places to go and eat. The only real “issue” I had while staying there were nosey neighbours as the pod hotel style rooms had open ceilings, aswell as the room size itself being quite cramped. I’m 6”3 and I had 1 full size suitcase as well as a carryon duffle bag and it was quite hard to navigate inside the room with both bags. To be fair it is a pod hotel so the room size being small wasn’t too alarming however I have stayed in pod hotels where there’s more than enough space to manoeuvre a suitcase around. Overall I would recommend this hotel for solo travellers because of the location, staff, and affordability.

The worst thing about this NEW hotel is their front desk staff, their manager, their attitude. They have a NO MERCY policy to their guests. Here's what happened.... I am a Foreigner. I made a booking in this hotel to check in on 29th December, 2025. I had already paid in full before checking in. At the counter i could clearly see the staff were not very attentive. I had to wait a few minutes before someone attended to me. Checking in was going on fine until i was asked for a deposit of US$100. I gave them cash. They said NO CASH. CARD ONLY! I tried my overseas credit card, it did not work. I tried my debit card, it did not work. I pleaded with the staff to accept cash, tghey blatantly refused, saying MUST BE BY CARD ONLY! they told me you are in the UNITED STATES and eveything is by card. I stood there, completely lost. NO one bothered as i stood there already beginning to panic. I asked them to make an exception, they refused saying its hotel policy. I had one more debit card. I tried it but it didnt work.In this situation, i even forgot my PIN number. I gave it one final try and Bingo,Thank God it worked. There was no receipt given for the $100 deposit. I asked about the refund procedure. They said, it will be credited back into my account 3 days after checking out. The stay was fine. Room was good. Breakfast was good. A day before checking out, I asked front desk to arrange for a taxi to JFK airport. They said they do not have such services. What!!I had to plead with them again to help me. Finally they agreed and booked me a cab. Upon checking out, I asked for a receipt for my room, they said it will be emailed to me. It has been 2 complete months since I came back and i still havent received any email nor news of my refund. I wrote 2 different emails asking about the refund but there was no response. Now that I am back home, i am unable to call them up because of the phone call cost. This was a terrible experience for me. I love the United States. Beautiful country. But experiences like this is unacceptable especially when a foreigner is stuck in a situation. The hotel was not flexible at all. The staff and manager were Spanish. I have no choice but to give a Thumbs down for this La Quinta hotel.

It's perfectly suited for travelers dealing with jet lag, and even staff from various airlines stay here. The only downside is that it gets fully booked too quickly. This hotel still beats all other hotels in Flushing for value for money, service, and blackout capabilities.

They said because I used a third party, they had not obtained my money yet and asked if I could pay the FULL price for the room. I refused, they spoke to the third party and only after securing the payment were They able to issue me a key. As if I was being punished for using a third party. They said they wouldn’t usually issue complimentary drinks for their room users but that I was welcome to take two bottles. Didn’t stay long enough for breakfast but not a great customer service. Other than this, room was clean and neat. I had to waste a lot of water before finally getting hot water, one of the treadmills was squeaky. I had to come off. Overall, not a great experience. Don’t understand your issue of withholding funds, when clearly it had gone out of my account. Not happy with this service.

GGuest UserThey said because I used a third party, they had not obtained my money yet and asked if I could pay the FULL price for the room. I refused, they spoke to the third party and only after securing the payment were They able to issue me a key. As if I was being punished for using a third party. They said they wouldn’t usually issue complimentary drinks for their room users but that I was welcome to take two bottles. Didn’t stay long enough for breakfast but not a great customer service. Other than this, room was clean and neat. I had to waste a lot of water before finally getting hot water, one of the treadmills was squeaky. I had to come off. Overall, not a great experience. Don’t understand your issue of withholding funds, when clearly it had gone out of my account. Not happy with this service.
