This hotel was a lovely surprise for me and my fiancee, with a beautiful rustic charm that really adds to the experience. The pool is fantastic, and the beach is literally just steps away. It’s also within walking distance to Walking Street, with convenient taxi services available right outside the hotel. Breakfast offered a great variety of options, which was a nice bonus. While this isn’t a typical 4 or 5-star resort, what you do get feels 5-star, the stunning beach, the beachfront bar, the pool, and the very comfortable bed and pillows all stood out. My only minor issue was with the shower, as the hot water was a bit inconsistent. Aside from that, I would highly recommend this hotel and wouldn’t pay too much attention to the negative reviews. Koh Lipe is a small paradise island far from the mainland, and this hotel is a wonderful place to enjoy it.

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights to celebrate a special occasion. my birthday, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing and far from what I had expected. During booking, I had clearly mentioned that it was a birthday stay. However, upon arrival, there was no welcome note or any gesture to make the occasion feel special. After an early morning ferry and a tiring journey, I was looking forward to a warm check-in experience, but instead, I was asked to download an app to make spa bookings. The app notifications became intrusive throughout the stay, which detracted from the relaxing atmosphere I was hoping for. Ahead of my birthday, I checked with three different staff members to confirm my massage booking, as I was not familiar with using the app. Each time, I was assured that the booking had been arranged. However, on the actual day, when I arrived at the spa, I was told there was no booking because I had not confirmed a time via the app. This was both frustrating and disappointing, especially as I had proactively sought confirmation multiple times at reception. What made matters worse was the lack of recovery from the hotel. There was no apology gesture no complimentary drink, no small token nothing to acknowledge the inconvenience or the ruined birthday experience. Later, when we requested assistance to arrange transport to find an alternative massage outside the hotel, we were informed that the taxi would cost THB 100 (USD3.00). While the amount is minimal, this would have been a perfect opportunity for the hotel to show goodwill after the earlier service failure. Unfortunately, no such effort was made. We were told the free shuttle only available from 6-8pm no exceptions in any case. Overall, the stay felt impersonal, with an over-reliance on the app and a noticeable lack of human interaction. It felt more like staying in a business hotel than a leisure resort. Guests should not be expected to manage their entire stay through an app especially when they come to relax. This experience was disappointing, particularly in how the situation was handled. There is clearly room for improvement in service recovery and guest engagement

This bungalow-style resort by Sunset Beach is really lovely. The check-in deposit is just 100 THB. I really enjoyed the hotel's layout—it's only a five-minute walk to a 7-Eleven, which is super handy. The hotel's beach area is pretty small and often has boats around, so if you'd like to go snorkeling, I'd suggest walking about 10 minutes to the east side of the beach. For calm, beautiful turquoise water, head to the north tip of the island—it's about 30 minutes from the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The resort offers massage services, a diving club, and yoga classes. A quick note on the bungalow I stayed in: there was no hot water, quite a few mosquitoes, and the lighting was fairly dim since it's nestled among gardens and other houses. The hotel also follows an eco-friendly policy to save electricity.

Loved it! 🥰🥰🥰 This stay completely exceeded my expectations. Each room is a small, standalone bungalow, and the hotel's beach is absolutely beautiful. The staff provides shuttle service to and from the pier. 🥰🥰 The rooms are very clean, and it's a short walk along the beach to both the pier and the walking street. For places further out, the staff will help you call a tuk-tuk. There are almost no downsides. I honestly didn't have high hopes before arriving, so I was completely surprised that a 500-yuan hotel could be this good! The only issue is that the service attitude isn't great, and the front desk staff seemed to judge people.

Fantastic location, just a minute or two walk to the beach right at the entrance of the walking street. The hotel itself is beautiful, with plenty of comfortable lounge areas under the trees, offering amazing close-up sea views. The evening dinner view was lovely, and the live band played great music. The service was excellent too; I even chartered a boat for an island hopping trip through the hotel, and it was cheaper than what the walking street vendors offered. The room was clean and quite spacious, though it felt a little older compared to Akira.

Air-conditioned room with two single beds. The location is overall quite good 😊 (about a 3–5 minute walk from the Walking Street 7-Eleven, and around 7–10 minutes if using the back entrance of Walking Street 7-Eleven). For this price, Green Hotel is definitely worth it 🌼 We stayed for 3 nights and chose not to have daily cleaning, but they still kindly left fresh bottled water outside our room every day 🥰 which was a really thoughtful touch. The toilet water pressure was good, the air-conditioning worked perfectly, and the lady at the front desk was very friendly 🫶🏻

The room was simple and quiet, though clothes drying outside the window kept getting blown off. The price was quite cheap for the island, and breakfast was plentiful. Younger children didn't need to pay extra for breakfast coupons, and there were plenty of seats. The hotel is right next to Sunset Beach, about a hundred meters from the pier, and close to the walking street, so the location is excellent. Check-in starts at 3 PM, and there's a 1000 baht deposit. You can start enjoying yourself right away, as there's a slide pool that the kids absolutely loved. Overall, it's a very good value-for-money hotel on the island.

4.8 out of 5 stars. Let me provide an objective overview of my stay. 👍🏻**The Good:** First off, the hotel staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, with every single team member demonstrating professionalism. Their attentive and friendly service truly made us feel happy and valued. The hotel boasts a superb location; its private beach is fronted by reefs and mature trees, offering plenty of shade, which made it pleasantly cool for daytime activities. Every single bungalow provides a stunning sea view! Plus, they offer a complimentary transfer to the pier when it's time to depart. 😮💨**The Not-So-Good:** On the downside, the hotel's facilities are a bit dated. The floorboards in our room creaked noticeably when we walked around. We also found quite a few mosquitoes and other insects in the bungalow, and the shower water pressure was rather low. The breakfast is à la carte, but the food quality was just average. **In Summary:** If you're planning a trip to the island, I'd suggest splitting your stay: two nights near Pattaya Beach (by the pier) and two nights on the Sunrise side. **A Final Clarification:** The hotel does not provide complimentary kayaks. However, there are numerous kayak rental options available right along the beach.

Fantastic! The view is exceptional, and the beach is stunning and peaceful because the boats are docked on the previous beach. The staff are lovely, and the bar and restaurant are great value for money. The breakfast is very good, even if there isn't a huge selection. The location is perfect, the sunrises are magnificent, and the water is turquoise – it's a little paradise on earth. This is the best spot on the island. It's a 20-minute walk to Sunset Beach and barely 10 minutes on foot to the small center of Koh Lipe, where you'll find shops, mini-marts, and a bunch of small restaurants. Everything on this island is walkable, it's so peaceful and pleasant. We loved it so much that we added a fourth night to our stay! The little chalet is very cute, though it's not easy to sleep well without air conditioning; there's little air circulation, and it's heavy, but we survived. The bathroom does the job; there's no hot water, but honestly, you don't need it – a cool shower is very welcome when it's 30 degrees Celsius 24/7. It's an eco-lodge in the middle of nature, so you have to accept seeing a few little creatures sometimes; it's part of the experience :) You can rent masks for snorkeling and kayaks or try an introductory dive thanks to the agency right next to the beach. This is a quiet resort with no entertainment. For evening entertainment, head to Sunset Beach or the bars at the end of the hotel beach (you can also watch the sunset there, and the view is very pretty).

The hotel is located right on the beachfront, and the grounds are absolutely beautiful and well-maintained. There's a very warm and clean pool with a wonderful sea view. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available by the pool and on the beach. Breakfasts are excellent, with good coffee from a machine, several kinds of fruit, and delicious yogurts always on offer. I have no complaints about the hotel itself. HOWEVER, I do have a major issue with the hotel owner: how can you put guests in a house where they are being eaten alive by swarms of mosquitoes!!! This is because the wooden doors and windows are old, warped, and have huge gaps, making it impossible to close them tightly, and the mosquito nets are full of holes. You can see this clearly in the photos. We asked to be moved, but there were no available rooms. Instead of enjoying the beautiful sea, we had to buy tape to seal all the holes in the windows, and we taped up the front door at night, otherwise, it wouldn't just be mosquitoes living in our house. We also bought mosquito coils and burned them constantly, breathing smoke instead of fresh air. This particular house is the only one in such a state; all the other rooms are fine 👌 The house itself is spacious, with two rooms, two bathrooms, and a living room, which was very convenient for us! Change the windows and doors, and it would be perfect! 🔥 But to spend your entire vacation battling mosquitoes and bites for $200 a night, that's just not fair 😳 I didn't want to lower the hotel's rating too much, as the staff isn't to blame, they're great.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights on a trip.com booking (standard queen room) and then extended directly with the hotel for 1 more night (deluxe queen room with city view). Overall the room was ok but the cost per night was high and I’m not 100% sure it is good value for money. The location is central (close to Bundhaya Pier and many restaurants on walking street) and the grocery shop under the hotel is great. For the trip booking, our room was on the third floor and immediately looked into the balcony of the hotel next door. We could not open our curtains without seeing our neighbor’s room right next to our bed. On a positive note the room was on the quiet side. For the last night we got moved down to the second floor for a larger room and city view (the view of the rooftop of the restaurant next door and the alleyway, it was loud at night). The room itself was fine if not a bit dated looking. The aircon worked great and the fridge was nice to have for groceries. Our booking also came with breakfast, you get to select items from the menu (main and drink). It was ok but we choose not to go back for other meals as there are many nice options for food around the hotel.

The hotel boasts an excellent location with breathtaking views. However, the only downside is the absence of a communal swimming pool. Private pools are exclusively available with pool-access rooms; standard rooms do not have them. For vacationers, please note that breakfast is à la carte when booking. In the evenings, there are several spots right next to the hotel perfect for enjoying a drink while watching the sunset. Excellent hotel. Upon arrival, we were met and driven to the hotel. You need to inform them of your arrival in advance; we had to ask staff from another hotel to call our hotel and inform them. They responded quickly, and we waited only 5 minutes. A kind lady at the reception greeted us, explained everything, gave us towels, and suggested we relax on the beach while we waited for our check-in time. There were plenty of soft sun loungers with umbrellas. The room was in the garden area, a separate cottage on a hill, so you'll have a bit of a climb. If you have mobility issues, you might want to consider another option. The cottage had an attic, air conditioning, a refrigerator, and a shower. Overall, everything was good; if you plan to spend little time in the room, you won't feel uncomfortable. We booked for one night without breakfast. We were given a coupon for a free breakfast, which was a nice surprise. The breakfasts were delicious, and it was a buffet where you could choose what you wanted. The beach was clean, and the water was clear. You could rent a snorkeling mask for 50 baht a day. Fish were everywhere, especially around the rocks. Walking Street was a 15-minute walk along the beach. We enjoyed everything. If we ever return, we will definitely stay at this hotel again!

Service: The hotel sign is visible upon arrival at the dock. After checking your name with the staff, they will help you collect your luggage from the boat. A tuk-tuk will then take you to the hotel. Afterwards, you'll wait in the lobby for check-in and receive a welcome cold towel, drink, and ice cream. A staff member will be nearby to provide detailed information about the hotel app (breakfast is available on the app, and any service requests can be made via the app). A shuttle bus will be provided every evening to take you to the pedestrian street. (See the schedule in Figure 9.) Cleanliness: The pool is cleaned daily. The room is spacious, with separate shower and toilet areas, and the entire washroom area is quite spacious. Amenities: The bedding is very comfortable, and there's a coffee machine and Bluetooth speaker. A variety of glasses are provided (champagne, wine, coffee, and more, including a bottle opener and ice bucket for cocktail shakers). There's also an ironing board and iron in the closet. The hotel provides free paddleboards and kayaks. Environment: Located on Sunrise Beach, there's a small, slightly larger beach to the left, though unfortunately, it's not very visible during the off-season. From the beach villa, you can swim in the ocean. While the sand isn't as fine as Pattaya Beach, the waves are minimal and the water is crystal clear. Photos 6-8 were taken at the beach in front of the hotel. During the off-season, snorkeling is possible at the small island of Kla lsland, just before high tide at 12 PM. The fish are incredibly abundant. The island has two landing points. One is near Koh Adang. The sand here is finer, but the waves can be a bit rough during the rainy season, and there aren't many fish. The other landing point is on the back. Be careful approaching the landing point, as there are many broken conch shells. Wear trekking shoes. There's a tree covered in shells that provides shade, and there are many fish of varying species. (The last photo shows a photo of small fish snorkeling near this landing point.) When the tide starts rising at 12 PM, be sure to secure your boat securely to prevent it from drifting away. Wear trekking shoes, as the reefs can be quite sharp in some areas.

It shares the same hotel facilities as the villas, but the rooms are new, with a modern design, and quite spacious. You can even watch the sunrise from here! The pool water's cleanliness was a bit average, likely due to sand brought in by guests. The breakfast restaurant has a beautiful setting and a decent variety of options. Everything worked , the internet was decent. Gardens and greenery lovely spot. Breakfast was fairly standard for this type of accommodation. Nice fresh fruit eggs, bacon, pancakes , waffles and Asian options, eaten with a nice view of the sea. Location at end of beach but close to walking street. We tended to walk to North point and get a taxi scooter back for 50b. Food on island was good. Coffee from tugboat needs a mention. Island overall is beautiful and has a really nice vibe at present hopefully it doesn't get over developed. North point is a lovely area which still has it's natural beauty.

## Excellent Location First off, considering the island's overall snorkeling quality, convenience, and the most stunning ocean views, Sunrise Beach truly stands out. Other beaches often accumulate some waste due to ocean currents. This hotel is positioned on the far right of Sunrise Beach, directly facing a small island perfect for paddleboarding and snorkeling, which you can even walk to during low tide. Step right out to the pool and beach, and the walking street is just a short stroll away, making it ideal for families, couples, and leisure travelers. The hotel offers complimentary snorkeling gear and kayaks, which makes snorkeling and sightseeing incredibly convenient. Renting these yourself would typically cost around 200 Thai Baht per hour. You can also borrow snorkels and masks, though for hygiene and safety, it's recommended to bring your own snorkel. ## Spacious and Comfortable Rooms The rooms are generously sized. We stayed in a Balinese-style luxury standalone pool villa, and the pool was literally just 10 steps from our door. My boyfriend and I loved swimming right outside our room during the hot, high-tide afternoons, then relaxing with naps and fruit smoothies. In the afternoons, it was incredibly easy to grab a kayak and head out to sea. ## À La Carte Breakfast Breakfast is à la carte, not a buffet. While the variety isn't extensive, the food is fresh, with options like pancake sets, bacon sets, porridge, and fried rice. However, the restaurant boasts a fantastic view. You can leisurely sip coffee, watching the sunrise and the beautifully clear, 'jelly-like' sea slowly transform from murky to transparent as local fishermen begin their day – a truly blissful experience. ## Environment and Facilities The hotel isn't large, but it's charming and well-maintained. Staff service hours are from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, meaning it's essentially a semi-self-service setup. The lush greenery is lovely, and the pool and restaurant views are definite highlights. Overall, the hotel atmosphere is perfect for a relaxing getaway. ## Friendly Service The staff are warm, attentive, and the front desk service is very friendly. Our designated staff member, Pro, was particularly outstanding. From our arrival at the pier to our departure, he handled all our luggage. He also warmly transferred us when we switched hotels mid-stay. He even joked with us that the hotel's tree lizards were Komodo dragons! His warmth and humor were truly heartwarming. ## Suggestions It would be good to improve air conditioning maintenance in some rooms, as it can be quite noisy at night. Also, checking and addressing the issue of mosquito larvae in water troughs outside certain room windows would be appreciated. We stayed for 7 days, averaging 500 RMB per day. We visited during the off-peak season, so the island was indeed very quiet with many shops closed, but we still had a wonderful time. My boyfriend absolutely loved this hotel, finding it relaxing and cozy. He even said he'd rather move back here than stay in a 1000 RMB hotel!

First of all, the hotel itself is nice and close to the water with a nice view, this can be definitely recommended. But there are a couple of things that are not good. 1. A generator is running around the clock close to the entrance which vibrates through the ground. Earplugs were necessary to sleep. 2. The bar with awesome view closes 8pm already. 3. Lack of space for breakfast, you need to wait and come back until a table is free 4. E.g. Omelette is not possible to be served with vegetables at all, just egg and cheese in it, thats it. Milk, Salt, etc. needed to be refilled by actively engaging with the staff 5. The location is really far away from everything, but this is not serious as it can be considered. One night is okay, but there is not more around to be seen. Sunrise or Pattaya Beach has mu g more to offer.

First, let's talk about the facilities. The room size was perfect for two people, and the big bed was very comfortable. Both the floor and bathroom were wooden, which was quite slippery when wearing slippers on rainy days. The biggest drawback was the lack of sufficient hot water for showering. After spending all day in the water, I was really looking forward to a hot shower in the evening, but the water was always cold and the water pressure was very low. I didn't bother complaining to the hotel, though, as fresh water is scarce on Koh Lipe, so I understand. Hygiene: The hygiene was actually quite good. Considering it's on a hillside, and there are bound to be bugs, I was pretty satisfied with how clean it was. Environment: The hotel is made up of individual villas, which offers a good level of independence and privacy. It was incredibly quiet at night. The nights I stayed there, it rained heavily with thunder and lightning every day, but the next morning the air was fresh and the sun was bright, which was truly wonderful. Service: Overall, the service was great, especially the room service and the staff who came to light mosquito coils; they were all very polite. One of the best things was that my pool villa faced an uninhabited island. It was only about a fifteen-minute kayak ride away, and the snorkeling there was absolutely beautiful! There were all sorts of small fish underwater, perfect for a beginner like me. I even learned how to use a snorkeling mask and a snorkel there. The hotel's beach was a bit small, but the sand was very white and fine, better than anywhere else on the island.

This is a simply gorgeous hotel! We were absolutely delighted! One of the best on the island. The rooms are large, clean, modern, and have everything you need: robes, a hairdryer, even very comfortable slippers. We wanted to know where to buy some. 😁 The room has a refrigerator, air conditioning, a ceiling fan in the room and on the veranda, a safe, and even mosquito repellent. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel offers a free taxi for dinner from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. At other times, they can call a taxi for you for 100 baht. They also pick you up and take you to the port for free. The breakfasts are delicious; you order from the menu. The beach is small but secluded; to the right of it, the best beach on the island is a 3-minute walk over rocks when the tide is low and along the shore when the tide is low. The hotel also provides free snorkeling masks, kayaks, and paddleboards.

My stay at the Mountain Resort in Koh Lipe was truly an unforgettable experience! Our room was an absolute dream, featuring postcard-perfect ocean views of Koh Lipe that I will surely never forget. What really made this stay so special was the incredible staff. They were exceptionally good and attentive, treating us with a unique blend of respect and genuine affection that made us feel so welcome. The resort's amenities are also fantastic and very convenient. There is a shuttle bus service that takes you up and down the hill, running every 15 minutes during the afternoons, which made getting around effortless. Down at the beach, they have incredibly comfortable hammocks that are absolutely perfect for relaxing by the sea. I cannot recommend this resort enough. An absolutely wonderful experience!

The hotel was chosen based on its relatively low price and location. The hotel has seen a lot in its time: a padlock on the front door, cracks in the floor, sockets that are extremely loose, unobtrusive service. However, enough of the negative. Quite good breakfasts, proximity to the sea, good attitude of the staff level out the negative. Try it!

Great value for money! It's right by the sea, so you can swim. Sometimes boats come by, but the water is still clean. There's a restaurant at the hotel, and the food is tasty and affordable. Breakfasts are a bit repetitive and simple, but they do the job. The rooms are clean, even if they are a little dated. There are tons of mosquitoes! But that's true for the whole island. The staff is understanding. We always brought our own beer and other alcohol to the cafe and only ordered food. It's about a 7-minute walk from the local Walking Street. There's a ***** bar nearby :))

This hotel has an amazing sense of style — everything feels thoughtfully designed and really stands out. The atmosphere is modern, unique, and super inviting. What truly made the stay special, though, was the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Everyone was welcoming, attentive, and always smiling, which made us feel comfortable from the very first moment. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish place with great service. Also we loved the Beach Access and breakfast !

I really enjoyed our stay jt was low season so nice and quiet but still a good atmosphere. Rooms were comfortable, we booked two but could have managed with one room with a 9 and 12 year old.
