Booked a pool-access room this time. The hotel is right by the pier on Koh Lipe, so close to the sea that the tide comes right up to the restaurant entrance. The room itself is quite new, and you can step out directly into the connecting pool. Adding an extra bed for a child cost 307 RMB (sofa bed + buffet breakfast), which was decent service. Right outside, to the right, are the pier and Koh Lipe's main shopping street. I'd definitely choose this hotel again for my next visit.

Absolutely brilliant. The staff were there to pick us up off the boat and take us straight to the hotel, really easy check in and the place was lovely. The Anda Lipe staff really made our stay. When asked if they could help out with decorating the room for my partners birthday, they went above and beyond and really made the day special and decorated the room lovely. The breakfast was great, lots of options. The free coffee all day is a really nice touch. The room was comfy, spacious and well equipped. Overall, the stay was amazing. Would really recommend to anyone coming to Koh Lipe.

Was a bit far from the main area, and the hotel provided only one shuttle per day. We actually booked a room with a different design and got a completely different room. When we asked to see the other rooms, they showed us rooms with the same design as the first, instead of just saying they renovated the room. We didn’t get any compensation for this inconvenience. Some of the buildings needed renovations. The whole floor around our room was super dirty and disgusting. A lot of stairs in the hotel if you want to go down to the beach and restaurant area. Also was pretty expensive and was not worth the price in my opinion. Pros - very nice breakfast. Gorgeous beach area. Nice staff. Clean room.

This bungalow-style resort by Sunset Beach is really lovely. The check-in deposit is just 100 THB. I really enjoyed the hotel's layout—it's only a five-minute walk to a 7-Eleven, which is super handy. The hotel's beach area is pretty small and often has boats around, so if you'd like to go snorkeling, I'd suggest walking about 10 minutes to the east side of the beach. For calm, beautiful turquoise water, head to the north tip of the island—it's about 30 minutes from the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The resort offers massage services, a diving club, and yoga classes. A quick note on the bungalow I stayed in: there was no hot water, quite a few mosquitoes, and the lighting was fairly dim since it's nestled among gardens and other houses. The hotel also follows an eco-friendly policy to save electricity.

Loved it! 🥰🥰🥰 This stay completely exceeded my expectations. Each room is a small, standalone bungalow, and the hotel's beach is absolutely beautiful. The staff provides shuttle service to and from the pier. 🥰🥰 The rooms are very clean, and it's a short walk along the beach to both the pier and the walking street. For places further out, the staff will help you call a tuk-tuk. There are almost no downsides. I honestly didn't have high hopes before arriving, so I was completely surprised that a 500-yuan hotel could be this good! The only issue is that the service attitude isn't great, and the front desk staff seemed to judge people.

I really enjoyed our stay jt was low season so nice and quiet but still a good atmosphere. Rooms were comfortable, we booked two but could have managed with one room with a 9 and 12 year old. Everything worked , the internet was decent. Gardens and greenery lovely spot. Breakfast was fairly standard for this type of accommodation. Nice fresh fruit eggs, bacon, pancakes , waffles and Asian options, eaten with a nice view of the sea. Location at end of beach but close to walking street. We tended to walk to North point and get a taxi scooter back for 50b. Food on island was good. Coffee from tugboat needs a mention. Island overall is beautiful and has a really nice vibe at present hopefully it doesn't get over developed. North point is a lovely area which still has it's natural beauty.

First off, the location is incredibly convenient, just a few steps from the pier. Right next door is the island's only walking street with all the shops, restaurants, and entertainment, giving it a prime spot. As for the service, it was good, with nothing really to fault. However, for the price, it would be perfect if they could improve the bedding. I slept on a creaky bed for two nights, and the sheets even had holes in them. Maybe it was because my room was by the pool and quite humid; none of my clothes, not even intimates, dried in two days, and they all smelled like salted fish! Just think of it as a convenient hotel. For the island, the value for money is pretty good at this price, but if this were in a city back home, there would be many more options...

Air-conditioned room with two single beds. The location is overall quite good 😊 (about a 3–5 minute walk from the Walking Street 7-Eleven, and around 7–10 minutes if using the back entrance of Walking Street 7-Eleven). For this price, Green Hotel is definitely worth it 🌼 We stayed for 3 nights and chose not to have daily cleaning, but they still kindly left fresh bottled water outside our room every day 🥰 which was a really thoughtful touch. The toilet water pressure was good, the air-conditioning worked perfectly, and the lady at the front desk was very friendly 🫶🏻

There were even hotel staff at the pier to help with luggage and take it to reception for check-in – the service was really welcoming. The room was simple and quiet, though clothes drying outside the window kept getting blown off. The price was quite cheap for the island, and breakfast was plentiful. Younger children didn't need to pay extra for breakfast coupons, and there were plenty of seats. The hotel is right next to Sunset Beach, about a hundred meters from the pier, and close to the walking street, so the location is excellent. Check-in starts at 3 PM, and there's a 1000 baht deposit. You can start enjoying yourself right away, as there's a slide pool that the kids absolutely loved. Overall, it's a very good value-for-money hotel on the island.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights. Everything was good, the grounds were pleasant, everything was clean, and the rooms were clean and all wood-paneled. You really feel that authentic Thai island vibe. The only thing missing in the room was a bathrobe and a dental kit. It's a long walk to 7-Eleven; I could have called a motorcycle taxi, of course, but it would be better if these kits were provided in the rooms. Luckily, I happened to have dental kits from previous hotels in my suitcase. The hotel has its own beach. One beach has a sandy entry, no rocks, but for some reason, the water there was always a bit murky. The second has rocks, but you can walk through them a little and then swim and snorkel comfortably. There are sun loungers right there, and a hotel cafe too. They have happy hour from 4 PM to 6 PM, which I took advantage of. My biggest disappointment was breakfast. There was a selection of pancakes and toast, which I rarely eat, as well as three Thai dishes, and you couldn't order from the menu in the morning. Basically, I stayed hungry 😬. Breakfast is important to me; it's about strength and energy, especially when you have an active vacation with swimming all day. However, the view from the room was simply beautiful. If you want peace and quiet, get one of the bungalows higher up. Otherwise, it's quiet everywhere unless your neighbors start getting rowdy on their balconies 😄. I forgot to add that the sunrise was something else; I could see it from my room too, but on the second day, I went down to the beach to watch it.

An average hotel with a tired renovation. The bathroom has an instantaneous water heater, but the water is always cold. The toilet leaked when flushed. The air conditioner blows directly onto the bed. I recommend contacting the hotel in advance so they can meet you at the pier to take your luggage.

The hotel is located right on the beachfront, and the grounds are absolutely beautiful and well-maintained. There's a very warm and clean pool with a wonderful sea view. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available by the pool and on the beach. Breakfasts are excellent, with good coffee from a machine, several kinds of fruit, and delicious yogurts always on offer. I have no complaints about the hotel itself. HOWEVER, I do have a major issue with the hotel owner: how can you put guests in a house where they are being eaten alive by swarms of mosquitoes!!! This is because the wooden doors and windows are old, warped, and have huge gaps, making it impossible to close them tightly, and the mosquito nets are full of holes. You can see this clearly in the photos. We asked to be moved, but there were no available rooms. Instead of enjoying the beautiful sea, we had to buy tape to seal all the holes in the windows, and we taped up the front door at night, otherwise, it wouldn't just be mosquitoes living in our house. We also bought mosquito coils and burned them constantly, breathing smoke instead of fresh air. This particular house is the only one in such a state; all the other rooms are fine 👌 The house itself is spacious, with two rooms, two bathrooms, and a living room, which was very convenient for us! Change the windows and doors, and it would be perfect! 🔥 But to spend your entire vacation battling mosquitoes and bites for $200 a night, that's just not fair 😳 I didn't want to lower the hotel's rating too much, as the staff isn't to blame, they're great.

The unbeatable sea view, simply incredible! A 180-degree panoramic view, the most beautiful sea view on Koh Lipe. Perfect for watching the sunrise. The room is a small cabin built on a cliff, spacious enough for a family of three. Breakfast is ordered and delivered to the room, and it's plentiful. The staff are warm and always smiling. From a hotelier's perspective, I'd give their service 100 points – truly commendable and worth learning from! The only downside: when the sun is strong, the air conditioning struggles to cool the room down, even when turned up full blast.

The hostel is in a convenient position, right in the walking street. The ground floor is sort of a post office, which makes it kind of chaotic and crowded and sometimes the shoes (that you need to leave outside of the building) are covered by the amount of packages being delivered. One pair of my shoes got taken by someone else (stolen?).  I felt there is really no control of whoever comes up, as the post office is so chaotic that no one checks who comes and goes to the hostel on the upper floors. The common area is not that big and the WiFi is not stable at all. Nevertheless these are things  The showers need some maintainance, some have hangers for clothes, some don’t, some have broken ones. Same for the toilets. The cleaning of the showers and toilet areas was quite under control. I just wish that people with long hair would clean after themselves, because patches of bestie ere to be found on the sink and the showers all the time. The room was relatively small, with 3 bunk beds and 6 small lockers. I recommend earplugs because you never know if the people in your room will snore, and also because the people in the hallway and common area are loud and no one respects the 10pm silence hours.  Good deal for money if you want to explore Ko Lipe on a budget.

Pros: 1. **Location:** It's not right by the bustling pedestrian street, so it's relatively quiet, yet only a 5-10 minute walk away. 2. It's a detached, single-story villa with a private terrace. 3. The room has a minimalist design, and there's plenty of hot water for showers. 4. The beach is just a few steps from the room. 5. There are exclusive beach chairs available on the beach. 6. The breakfast is substantial, mainly Western-style. 7. They offer shuttle services. Cons: 1. The room is a bit run-down; many facilities are old or loose. 2. The island in general is a bit noisy and too crowded. 3. At over 1000 RMB per night during peak season, it's not great value for money. 4. The immigration and departure points on the island for boarding/disembarking boats are quite chaotic. You have to pay the island fee upfront. Be aware that the ATM next to immigration charges half the withdrawal amount in fees – a definite rip-off. 5. The staff on the Thai transfer boat were rude and crammed everyone onto one vessel.

Bulow Casa was an absolute gem and one of the best stays we have ever had. The beach was stunning — pristine, peaceful, and just steps away. It’s the kind of beach you never want to leave. The atmosphere of the hotel itself was wonderful. The surroundings are beautifully maintained and create a truly relaxing environment that makes you feel completely at ease from the moment you arrive. The food at the hotel was delicious and well-prepared, with a great variety that satisfied every craving. Dining here was genuinely a pleasure. The staff deserve a special mention — they were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and always went out of their way to make guests feel welcome. Their warmth made a real difference to our experience. One standout feature that truly impressed us was the complimentary shuttle service around Koh Lipe. Being able to explore the island freely without any extra cost was a fantastic touch that showed how much the hotel cares about its guests’ experience. We would recommend Bulow Casa to anyone visiting Koh Lipe without hesitation. We will absolutely be back.

Excellent hotel. Upon arrival, we were met and driven to the hotel. You need to inform them of your arrival in advance; we had to ask staff from another hotel to call our hotel and inform them. They responded quickly, and we waited only 5 minutes. A kind lady at the reception greeted us, explained everything, gave us towels, and suggested we relax on the beach while we waited for our check-in time. There were plenty of soft sun loungers with umbrellas. The room was in the garden area, a separate cottage on a hill, so you'll have a bit of a climb. If you have mobility issues, you might want to consider another option. The cottage had an attic, air conditioning, a refrigerator, and a shower. Overall, everything was good; if you plan to spend little time in the room, you won't feel uncomfortable. We booked for one night without breakfast. We were given a coupon for a free breakfast, which was a nice surprise. The breakfasts were delicious, and it was a buffet where you could choose what you wanted. The beach was clean, and the water was clear. You could rent a snorkeling mask for 50 baht a day. Fish were everywhere, especially around the rocks. Walking Street was a 15-minute walk along the beach. We enjoyed everything. If we ever return, we will definitely stay at this hotel again!

A long stretch of white sand beach, and if you walk a little north, you can catch the sunset at North Point. 🌊 The sea changes color many times throughout the day, but it's always incredibly blue, and beautiful even in the rain. 🛌 The rooms are more modern, but you have to wait a bit longer for hot water in the shower (staff said it's because it's low season). 🚣 Free 1-hour kayak/paddleboard/snorkeling every day. The first time I tried it, a hotel employee even taught me, and the next day they took me to a nearby island to snorkel. 🐶 Lots of cute dogs on the beach, and hardly any mosquitoes. The restaurant food is delicious, and the buy-one-get-one-free happy hour drinks are great. There are three round-trip shuttle buses to Walking Street every evening. It’s all the little details that make it so comfortable, like the automatic trash cans 🫶. I didn't want to leave, this is what a resort should be. (The only downside is that the breakfast selection is small and very average.)

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights on a trip.com booking (standard queen room) and then extended directly with the hotel for 1 more night (deluxe queen room with city view). Overall the room was ok but the cost per night was high and I’m not 100% sure it is good value for money. The location is central (close to Bundhaya Pier and many restaurants on walking street) and the grocery shop under the hotel is great. For the trip booking, our room was on the third floor and immediately looked into the balcony of the hotel next door. We could not open our curtains without seeing our neighbor’s room right next to our bed. On a positive note the room was on the quiet side. For the last night we got moved down to the second floor for a larger room and city view (the view of the rooftop of the restaurant next door and the alleyway, it was loud at night). The room itself was fine if not a bit dated looking. The aircon worked great and the fridge was nice to have for groceries. Our booking also came with breakfast, you get to select items from the menu (main and drink). It was ok but we choose not to go back for other meals as there are many nice options for food around the hotel.

We stayed 5 nights at Akira Lipe Resort and 3 nights at Mali Sunrise Beach Resort. Although Mali Resort was more expensive, overall Akira Resort was much better in almost every aspect. In terms of cleanliness, swimming pool condition, facilities, and staff friendliness, I honestly don’t understand why Mali charges a higher price. Sunrise Beach itself was beautiful, and we appreciated the complimentary kayak rental. Breakfast was also very good. However, there were some serious issues. The bedding was not properly maintained — while the outer cover looked clean, the inner duvet was yellowed and visibly stained underneath. Most concerning was the swimming pool. The pool water was visibly dirty even to the naked eye. After spending a long time swimming, both my husband and my child developed skin rashes and suffered from severe stomach problems. They had been swimming, diving, and accidentally swallowing some pool water. I did not swim at all, and I was completely fine, while both of them experienced the same symptoms. This strongly suggests that the pool hygiene needs urgent improvement. I visited in early February during peak season. Pattaya Beach, where Akira Resort is located, was calm, wave-free, and much more enjoyable for swimming and relaxing. Sunrise Beach, although beautiful, had very strong waves, making it less suitable for playing in the water. That said, kayaking to the small island directly in front of the resort for snorkeling was an amazing experience. This is definitely one of Mali Resort’s biggest advantages. Some of the restaurant staff were warm and kind, but most of the staff, including those at reception, appeared tired and expressionless. Overall, I personally do not think this resort offers good value for the price and would not recommend it. For the same budget, I would strongly suggest staying at Akira instead.

We booked a bungalow for one night at over 5,000 rubles. It seemed like a decent price, considering the bungalow was small and not new, but apparently, by local standards, it wasn't enough. There's no air conditioning in the room, and no fridge, not even a tiny one. There's hardly any space to move around in the bungalow. Good thing we didn't have large suitcases, just backpacks and small travel bags, and it was already cramped. Nowhere to put our belongings, which was very inconvenient. There's a canopy bed, but you can't open the windows and doors because of all sorts of critters that might crawl or fly in. The fan doesn't do much in the heat; it's still very stuffy. In the bathroom, the sink is at Gulliver's height. The faucet is tiny, while the sink is large and set high up – also inconvenient. There was no hand towel, only a body towel. I guess they don't want you to wash your hands too often to save on wiping. Buuuut, there are also positives. The property is on the first line. The beach is good, and so is the water. It would be great if people weren't worse than pigs and actually threw their trash away after themselves. Also, more trash bins should be placed around, all over the island, really. They should definitely maintain the island's cleanliness. The dogs on the beach are very cute. The cats are hysterical. 😂 We love animals and nature, but comfort is important too. We'd really appreciate more comfortable conditions for our stay. But for one night, it was fine. Breakfasts are decent. Ideally, they'd have lactose-free milk options for coffee; the plain coffee is very bitter. There are sun loungers on the property, enough for everyone. Instead of umbrellas, there are palm trees. It's a good place, they just need to improve the service and not push up the prices.

Very clean room, lovely staff, no English spoken, wrong time of year for Koh Lipe, not many shops open in the street, rubbish all over the island and only a few hotels open and ready. Motorbikes/sidebars whizz up and down walking street which is narrow, so look have to look out for them constantly. Retailers not friendly as so bored without customers in Sept/Oct. Covids had a huge effect on this beautiful island, won't be coming back for a couple of years unfortunately...all looked very grim!!!

Koh Lipe|0.24km from city center
The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. It’s just I was expecting to have a least a disposable toothbrush for the price I paid. Too bad they didn’t provide. The hotel receptionist didn’t tell us about the direct gate to the beach which we paid the 20baht to access to the beach for the first time. Breakfast was okay.

The hotel is super convenient, just a short walk left from the pier. There were even hotel staff at the pier to help with luggage and take it to reception for check-in – the service was really welcoming. The location is the best; it's very close to the walking street if you go via the beach, making everything easily accessible. The hotel also has a large pool, and the sea right outside is beautiful. It's excellent value for money.

Sarisari Resort's charm lies in its great price, location, and service. In the morning, I enjoyed a beautiful sunrise. There were even people walking from other areas just to watch the sunrise in front of Sarisari Resort. They offer free kayak rentals, and Koh Lipe is so much fun just for kayaking, so I highly recommend it. On the day of check-out, they offered to take me to my next hotel or the pier. I was also dropped off at a different hotel!
