I really loved their service! We were there to celebrate my best friend’s birthday, and when the front desk found out, they arranged a room with a better view for us. Although we waited for over an hour, they made us feel very satisfied by letting us wait in the VIP lounge. Everyone made me feel really at home in my 4 days there. Irfan and Muhaidi and the others at Front Desk listened carefully for my requests and tried to help wherever they could and provided information for me around town. Gamal introduced me to the room and also took the initiative to guide me around the neighbourhood the next day. Staff at the Lounge also made watching World Cup matches there comfortable and enjoyable, sometimes coming over to make small talk about the football and was able to attend to our every need. For location, the hotel is within 5min walk to a Metro station and amenities like restaurants, supermarkets and pharmacies.
Room was great, but found deposits unfortunately at the kettle spout.

We have stayed at this hotel almost every year either as Doha being our destination or a break point for onwards travel or return and all our experiences have been the best to say the least. However, as some say it takes one bad experience and all good ones get suppressed very quick.
This stay, our first impression at the checkin left a bad taste to the experience. The hotel policy is that checkin is at 3pm and we know that from previous experience and booking details, however previously the staff were very polite in saying the room was wasn’t ready or they can check us in but a little later and on some occasions we were given a room early, however this time we were bluntly told checkin is at 3pm and to come back then. Baggage can be held. The checkin staff was either overwhelmed with work or angry about something but he did not show professionalism. He was getting upset with another staff member and was bluntly rude. Dashed off in the back telling another staff to stay in the front.
We left our baggage and came back at 1.30pm with another staff at checkin and was allocated a room straight away and infect got an upgrade. I made the comment that I wish she was there earlier with him standing next to her. His reaction was, ‘sorry to keep you waiting’. I don’t think that was genuinely said as he had no sincerity in it and straight away start d chatting to some ladies that were on the counter.
Room was good but we got a joining room and I don’t like those rooms as you can almost hear everything from the other room as the door is the only barrier. As the stay was for 2 nights, I wasn’t going to create any fuse. The amenities in the room like soap, shower gel etc is still in small pack, so if you and your partner have a shower once, you’ll have to call to get another set or buy some yourselves. I would have expected better. Bed and pillows comfortable. A/C was quiet but it seemed to go into power saving mode in the middle of the night as you would wake up hot and sweaty but after a couple of minutes it would cool up again.
Breakfast was booked as part of the booking and as usual, it was very well catered. Lots of variety and good quality. Staff were excellent and did everything to impress.
Overall, location is excellent and rooms are nice but starting to show it’s age. Would I return, maybe. There was a time I could say definitely and would recommend the hotel eyes closed but this experience has led to think that I should try other hotels in the vicinity as I feel the quality would or could be better. Other staff such as bell boys and coffee staff at checkin were excellent and very helpful. I wish I had a better checkin experience.From$164

We had an amazing time at the hotel. Staff were wonderful and made us feel welcome. We arrived early, and the receptionist checked us in immediately. The room was complimentary upgraded to Seaview on the 10th floor with amazing views. Breakfast was delicious, with continental buffet and cooked breakfast available to order at the table. Dinner had many choices on offer, including sushi. Chef was aware of my allergies to shellfish and ensured I had specially prepared a platter each evening. Very disappointing experience due to the hotel’s lack of transparency. When booking, there was no mention anywhere on the website or in the hotel policies that Qatari nationals are not allowed to stay with someone of the opposite gender without a marriage certificate. Upon arrival, I was only informed of this rule, which was never stated beforehand. As a result, I had to book an extra room, causing unnecessary inconvenience and additional costs. While the reception staff was polite, the hotel’s policy should have been clearly communicated before booking to avoid such issues. This lack of transparency is unacceptable.”From$43

The shower, keeps changing the temperature of the water, goes from cold to extremely hot constantly, so you have to get in and out of the shower so you don't get almost burn or frozen.
They do provide a safe on the room, but you cannot set your own combination, they have one fixed combination for each room, and it won't change regarding whos in the room. That means if the room is occupied for one person today, the combination will be the same for everyone occupying that room. It's fixed and very easy to be spread for the whole hotel staff.
The person attending us at checkout, I wouldn't say rude, but not very pleasant to deal with.
The mattress was very soft, it caused us some back pain.
The breakfat is very oriented to a specific ethnicity. You have not other options if you does not belong to that ethnicity.
But, anyway, besides all still a very good option for a quick and affordable stay.

|0.35km from city centerI stayed at this hotel in July with up to +45C on daytime and still enjoyed to walk around because at Souq Waqif labyrinth of trade streets you will always find a shadow and things to watch&buy. Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels are actually a chain of nine hotels scattered close to each other around the same area of Waqif market, so be aware that your room, reception desk (Al Mirqab hotel) and the restaurant (Al Bidda hotel iirc) could be in different buildings. Its not a problem though, because the hotel providing you a free electric car transfer for the breakfast. I stayed in Najd hotel which is right in front of the Al Mirqab and I love its interior and location right next to the Ali Bin Abdullah Street exit of the Souq Waqif metro station - you can get there right from the airport. There are plenty of restaurants and small cafes around for every wallet, plus few popular attractions such as Museum of Islamic Arts, Corniche promenade and Islamic Cultural Center are within walking distance. Highly recommend this hotel to everyone who wish to feel the Qatar vibes while enjoying the good service.

The hotel is not freshly renovated keep this in mind, the floors are dirty!!! (But with tips you will have a perfectly cleaned room👌🏼), towels, linens are clean, they changed mine every day👌🏼 the plumbing is also all in good working order and clean. It's quite cool in the room I didn't even use the air conditioner although it's +35 outside
There are slippers, I also asked for a robe everything was provided👌🏼
You can get a towel for the beach at the reception.
In terms of cuisine, the breakfast is quite decent, keep in mind this is not Turkey, but everything for breakfast is there, omelettes, fruits, vegetables, pastries, tea and coffee, etc. In general, ordinary European breakfasts, that's enough for me, the main thing is delicious 👌🏼😊

About Qatar and prices, the prices are crazy for everything, drinks in the hotel cola, juices, etc. It's easier to buy in a store, for example, a can of cola in a store costs 2.5 Reals in a hotel 12.50. Excursions are expensive, especially if you travel alone, the prices are exorbitant.
Food in the hotel restaurant is priced basically the same as everywhere else, for example, Caesar salad is 35 reals, burgers, etc. are the same😬

About clothes (relevant for girls), I read a lot and watched YouTube Qatar did not even bring shorts (of decent length)🤪 only dresses, skirts just below the knee, trousers with closed sleeves, T-shirts) but in principle they wear shorts to the beach here, I think it’s possible, and for a walk around the city (just not mini) in Bermuda shorts, I think no one will look at you askance😊. My appearance did not cause sidelong glances despite the abundance of tattoos on my body, but in appropriate clothing😅 so somehow, Qatar 🇶🇦 is developing far from the UAE 🇦🇪 in their current form (who got there for the first time only after the 2010s) the emirates were not immediately what we see now, even 17 years ago the emirates were still a rather strict country in terms of the appearance of tourists.

The room was very spacious, clean and included a variety of amenities.
We used the gym on site and it was great, has everything that you will/would want in a gym!
We had breakfast upon checkout and it was great, there was a wide variety of choices, very well laid out and tasted great. They even provided me with a yogurt bowl to takeout as we didn’t have much time before our flight. Amazing customer service.
Would stay here again and highly recommend.
