We stayed at Hampton Inn in Petoskey Sept 29-21, 2020, The hotel was very clean and we felt they did everything they could to protect us from Covid-19. We stayed in a 2 king bed room on the 4th floor, very roomy and comfortable. Petoskey itself is a beautiful place and there are many things to do. I recommend this hotel and area for a weekend get-away.

We stayed here Sat. night to relax after visiting the Avalanche Bay Waterpark. We were very happy with our stay and glad that we chose to go this route vs staying at the waterpark and paying $850/1 night. We were able to get a deluxe room with 2 queen beds, a pullout couch and it had 2 bathrooms. There were 6 of us, 2 adults and 4 kids so it worked out very well. The room was very nice and also had fireplace and 2 balconies. When you walk into the hotel it is very appealing, there is a nice little waterfall and they have fresh bottles of water and apples for you to grab. They also offer breakfast the following morning which is nice before you head home. We also noticed they offer a complimentary limo ride uptown if you want to go shop or dine in style. I thought that was cool but since we were going to the waterpark we weren't able to use the limo. We got back late from the waterpark so we also weren't able to use the pool but the pics online looked great, we may have to come back sometime! We had a great time and would definitely stay here again!

Hello, we recently stayed at Apple Tree in from 9/20 to 9/24 for our annual Salmon fishing trip. The group of people that went on this trip have been going annually for the last 20 years. We convinced them to try a new place for lodging this trip. In our party, we rented a total of 3 rooms. Unfortunately our experience was less that satisfactory. The first issue that occurred was during check in. We arrived at 2:35 and asked about check in. While we we aware we were early, sometimes you can get in 30 minutes early. I was told at least an hour yet and so I went back to let me husband in the car know. Meanwhile my mom went to check in. I then came back in to the lobby to stand with my mom and see where their rooms were compared to ours. At that time Renee called housekeeping in front of us to have them stop what they were doing to clean the family suite. Renee then chuckled and said “Yea, I told them an hour”. I then stated to her that “check in was indeed 3 pm was it not”? In which she replied “it starts at 3 and doesn't mean you can get in at 3”. Our actual check in time was 4:10 pm. We arrived to the room and started to unpack and found to dirty pillow cases on the bed. We discarded those since we had brought our own, but was concerned then about overall cleanliness of the room at that point. Steven was very helpful with our concern and offered to take care of the issue. On Monday at 9am, we went to the pool and the towels were empty. I went to ask for some and spoke with Zoe. She got annoyed saying she just put some in there and while walking away said “people, I tell you” as she rolled her eyes. On Tuesday, My husband went down to grab breakfast and while getting some orange juice heard a phone conversation between Renee and one of the managers about what happened on Sunday. Renee misstated several facts about check in time and what events occurred. This conversation should have occurred in private and not around other guests. I left a message with the manager on Monday at 10:50 am and heard back on Tuesday around 2 pm. We discussed the issues above and I even asked her to pull video footage to verify the events that happened. She apologized and was going to talk to the VP of Operations about the issues. When I mentioned the conversation that was overheard, she apologized again and agreed that dialog should have happened away from customer areas. On the last day during checkout, my husband walked into another conversation between Renee and a House keeper complaining about various guest including a handicapped room. She was being talked about at the front desk. I will also note that another couple in our group ran into issues finding handicapped parking by the door most every night. She needs a walker to get around and it was very inconvenient for them. Overall, the lack of professionalism by the team members listed above really hurts your brand. I did some research and found other people have experienced th

This hotel has been around for at least half a century. It has been remodeled and updated to today's comforts, but it still maintains a wonderful feeling of days gone bye. The staff was very keen on answering any questions and servicing any requests for all your needs. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the bedding was soft and inviting. The terrace over look the bay and the grounds are rich and beautifully maintained. A wedding was being held at the time we were there, attesting to the locals desire for a grand reception by the staff and kitchen. The huge front porch was just perfect for brunch on Sunday-included in the cost of your stay. The cost point per night is on the high side, but worth your while to have this experience. Onsite dining was good but not special. Other restaurants can be had by just a short walk into town. The hotel is perfectly located for a quiet stay, and close enough to town for any and all tastes, food as well as shopping. We'll be back next summer! But make your reservations months in advance, as summertime is their high season.
