My family had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Front desk staff were amazing. The Cleaner came to knock  the door at 11:45am and as soon as she knocked she opened the door with her key. She didn’t even wait 30 seconds for a response….keep in mind check out is 12noon so we still had 15 minutes to gather our things still. This was the only down side but that’s the error of one single worker so I would stay at this same hotel again whenever I travel to Ottawa.

Generally speaking, the water pressure of the shower in the bath is not large, and it is uncomfortable to wash! If the price can be under a thousand dollars, it can still account for a high cost performance. The location is not bad, very close to the University of Ottawa, not far from a few Chinese restaurants (you can find it on the map) The lobby is very small, and the parking garage is small and expensive 🥲 But Ctrip is good because they don't have I updated the booking information and wrote the paid parking as free, so in order to apologize, I paid the full parking fee for two days, Ctrip, the role model in the China travel app!

This is an amazing, historic, world famous hotel. It combines luxury with outstanding service. The location is in the heart of the historic area. Just a minute walk to Parliament and the iconic buildings. It’s situated on the river if you want to ice skate I. The winter. It’s a must stay for the travel who wants a quality experience and great location

Great stay. Central location downtown. Comfortable bed and pillows. Felt relaxed and revitalized. Room as upgraded at check in by the receptionist so that was a bonus!

Where to begin... first of all, when I made this booking, there was no mention whatsoever of HEAVY DUTY CONSTRUCTION beginning every day at 7 a.m. Naturally upon checking in, I'm informed that there is intense construction happening right next door. And yes, it was brutal. I also SPECIFICALLY booked this hotel because there was an option to reserve now, pay at the hotel. Here are some direct quotes from my booking confirmation email: ”You'll need to pay upon check-in at Andaz Ottawa Byward Market, by Hyatt,” ”Your payment will be handled by Andaz Ottawa Byward Market, by Hyatt,” and ”Pay at Hotel.” Sure enough, I get there, and the money's already been taken out of my credit card and I owe nothing to the hotel upon check-in. (This matters for reimbursement purposes at the company I work for.) Lastly, I was told when I checked in that housekeeping would be visiting every third day -- that was fine by me. But the very first day, I come back to my room after a long day and someone's been there, replacing towels, removing the minimal garbage in there, etc., which I was not at all prepared for given that I was advised the opposite. It made me extremely uncomfortable because all of my personal effects were left throughout the room, not expecting housekeeping given that I was advised no housekeeping would be coming until the third day. I'll be honest, that creeped me out as someone travelling alone. The staff were apologetic but I didn't find their explanation at all sufficient. (The housekeeping manager and front desk attendant completely contradicted each other.) Overall, such a chaotic stay. Oh, and, the heat in my room didn't work. Had to request a space heater... I mean, c'mon.

The room was quite comfortable, and the bedding was just right. Overall, the hotel felt pretty good. Its location, right in the heart of the city, is particularly convenient for transportation and city walks. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic, always offering warm walnut pie, which made up for the slight inconvenience of the lobby renovation. They say it'll be finished in May, and looking at the renderings, the newly renovated lobby seems promising. There's one slightly unpleasant incident I'd like to mention. We booked a room with breakfast, and on the first morning, we went to the restaurant. After registering our room number at the entrance, the server immediately asked if we'd like coffee or tea. I asked for a double espresso, and she cheerfully arranged our seating while talking, which felt quite good. However, as our meal was nearing its end, the server presented a bill saying the coffee was an extra charge. This approach felt a bit disingenuous, and it's the first time I've encountered such a thing. I was a bit unhappy and immediately asked the server why they didn't inform us upfront when we were at the entrance. In our usual way of thinking, coffee with breakfast is perfectly normal. Seeing our displeasure, and noticing the $10 CAD tip we left on the table, the server beamed and said she would take care of the coffee bill, implying it wouldn't be charged. However, three days later, it still appeared on the bill at check-out. Although it was only $4 CAD, that's not the point. I complained about it at the front desk, and they also agreed that such a practice was inappropriate and offered to re-print the bill and refund me. I didn't want the hassle and declined. I'm only mentioning this in hopes that they won't resort to what frankly feels like a deceptive tactic in the future. Perhaps it was an individual server's action, but it ultimately affects the Hilton group's image. Because of this, I'd also like to offer a friendly tip to future guests.

Located at a very good location. Walking distance to Byward Market, Parliament Hill, Rideau Shopping Centre, Notre Dam Cathedral Basilica. Do note that kettle and bedroom slippers are on a request basis. Chinese restaurant-Peking Duck, has nice food and is popular with locals. Sammi & Soupe is popular for xiao long baos and fried dumplings. Keg Steakhouse serves good steak with a nice ambience. Overall, it's a positive experience.

The room was a bit small, and the counter felt like something from an economy hotel. Perhaps as an online platform guest, I was assigned a lower floor room where a huge exhaust fan on the outdoor platform vibrated and made noise clearly audible inside. I got back to the hotel late at night, and my child fell asleep immediately, so I didn't want to complain in the middle of the night. I finally fell asleep after two hours, a really terrible stay. However, the cleaning lady in the morning was excellent; I left my wallet on the table, and she immediately took it to the front desk. Thumbs up for her!

I was a bit overjoyed about this hotel. It has a stylish design and the shower gel and cream in the room are very easy to use. I couldn’t help but buy a set to take home 😂 There are scenic spots and various restaurants nearby. If you are traveling, it is a good choice.

Ottawa is very small, the hotel location is very convenient, also in the core area, about 20 minutes to the subway station. I saw that everyone commented that the facilities were old and I didn't think it was in the way. When I checked in, the swimming pool could not be used. The indoor one did not say that the reason was repaired. Second, the deposit pre-authorization requires 200 knives, the sound of the air conditioner in the room rumbling, quickly call the front desk to see, the little brother said that there is no way that it may be broken, and then whispered to me, or I asked the front desk if I could change a room. Dreams came, called the front desk, the front desk said to go upstairs to the same room type and wait for someone to send the key to change the room. Well, after waiting for 15 minutes, no one came, just take the floor phone to the front desk, and then the front desk said to wait for them to urge them, and then Shi sinks the sea and waits for 15 minutes. Well, go downstairs and ask the front desk, the one at the front desk, said in vain that she didn't receive the call, didn't say to change the room, said that the air conditioner was normal! She answered the phone, can the hotel phone call be elsewhere, originally it is not necessary to change, must waste customer time... This service attitude is a bit too greasy!
