This was the only hotel we stayed at in France during our trip. From the room facilities and service to the breakfast, the Royal Palace Hotel was the best hotel we stayed at during our trip. The staff were friendly, resolved issues promptly, and were very efficient. They also provided a complimentary valet service, which was likely a result of communication with Ctrip. (The price on the website at the time of booking differed from the actual price.)

One of the best hotels, which I ever stayed! Amazing view on the lake. Large comfortable rooms, high floors. Very good breakfast and restaurants. Special thanks for Marine, she is beautiful in everything! And respect to the Jean-Jaques - he is the best in restaurant!

The room is very good, it is the old castle in the valley, although the facilities are old, the scenery outside the window is very good, the summer is not very hot, suitable for summer, driving from Geneva to the hotel is a winding mountain road, out of the hotel is the mountain view is very beautiful

Very unusual facilities still we liked it.
Take into consideration that all is kind of “very old style”- so check carefully if it’s for you.
Breakfast is good but too expensive.
SPA facilities looks good but in reality- hamam was broken and temperature in a dry sauna was very low- disappointing.
Overall- nice but price does not correspond to quality.

The hotel is located on the hillside of Lake Annecy, like an old castle, the landscape is very good and very beautiful. The breakfast variety is not too much, but it is exquisite. It’s okay to bring a child, but it should not be possible to add an extra bed.

The hotel is overlooking Annecy's lake. At it's front door, it seems like we are way deep in the forest and yet we were barely 10 minutes away from the city. The staff is very sweet and professional. We are travelling with our 1 year old he got cute attention from the team at breakfast. Feeling that the hole family is included is priceless. These 2 nights were welcomed rest and relaxation. Thank you to all the staff members that made this gateway a pleasurable one for us!

We didn't like it here.
The building is located above the railroad tracks. You can feel every train passing by every hour since 5 a.m.
The bed linens are hard.
Our room was littered with a bunch of random objects and someone's cap in the closet.
The breakfast was delicious and varied.
The parking entrance was very narrow. We had to fold our car mirrors.
The staff all seemed like it was their first day on the job. I was especially impressed by the cleaner in the lobby who spent an hour scrubbing 2.5 square meters—he wasted no time at work and didn't even clean anything. He didn't even pick up the pancakes someone dropped on the floor.
The location is good relative to the city center. The towels are clean and soft.

This is a very good hotel, close to the train and bus stations for Annecy. Also, don't choose the cheapest hotel; choose one that's close to the city center.
