Honestly, staying at this hotel for my first time in Beijing truly broadened my horizons and changed my perception of the city. My wife, our child, and I came to Beijing for the May Day holiday. She said since we're here, we might as well splurge and experience a traditional Beijing courtyard. It truly delivered a top-tier luxury experience. The room layout was excellent, the courtyard views were charming, the service was impeccable, and the location was superb with an abundance of food delivery options. Breakfast was all made-to-order. The only thing we missed out on was the bar and hotel activities, but there's always next time. I do have two minor points of discomfort to share, just for reference: 1. When our taxi pulled up to the hotel entrance, a staff member immediately asked me what I was doing there. I was a bit taken aback at first, then explained I was checking in. I'm not blaming him; perhaps I was dressed too casually, but it did feel a little off-putting. 2. On our last day, breakfast felt less crowded, but the food service was incredibly slow. We went at 10 AM, thinking half an hour would be plenty for breakfast, especially since the day before our food arrived in about 15 minutes. This time, we waited half an hour just for the dishes to arrive. Overall, it was absolutely wonderful, and I'd definitely go back if I get the chance. It left a lasting impression, and thinking about it now still brings back such lovely memories, especially sitting in the courtyard at night, listening to music and watching the stars 💫

Facilities: As one of China's newly established luxury hotels in recent years, the facilities are undoubtedly top-notch and of the highest quality. The 42 independent courtyards scattered throughout the grounds also seamlessly blend with Beijing's unique characteristics. Hygiene: Everything is very clean. However, as a courtyard house in a hutong, it's inevitable to have some mosquitoes and bugs, especially in this kind of weather. Service: This is the best service in China's hotel industry, bar none. I was even given a fan 🪭 as a gift, which I really appreciate. Overall: The location, service, and hardware facilities certainly live up to its reputation as 'China's best entry-level room.' I would definitely choose this hotel again when I visit Beijing in a better season. See you in autumn!

Service: The welcome and check-in process was seamless. A special shout-out to the hotel restaurant staff; I wanted to try the Italian breakfast, but worried the bread might not suit my taste, so they kindly offered a complimentary Chinese main dish. In the evening, returning to the hotel, there was an event hosted by another company. Someone stopped us, saying we needed to queue for the elevator. When the elevator arrived, staff informed us it was for the event floor and we'd have to wait for the next one. I believe if a hotel cannot ensure that guests and event attendees don't disturb each other, they should provide prior notice or even compensation. However, the hotel offered no explanation whatsoever. Such a basic error is not up to Bvlgari Hotel's service standards. Amenities: The room featured double sinks, a smart toilet, and a vanity. The pool changing rooms were well-equipped with amenities, including a spin dryer. However, the air conditioning in the room was not effective; it was hot when we returned, and even set to 26 degrees on auto fan speed at night, I still woke up feeling hot. Cleanliness: The room was cleaned promptly and was very tidy. The turndown service included removing the foot mat from the bed, which shows the hotel's attention to detail. Environment: The hotel's bar and outdoor garden have a great ambiance. From the room, you can see the Liangma River and the CBD skyline, which is unique and worth experiencing. However, due to the evening event, the hotel's public areas became crowded and noisy.

An absolutely wonderful stay! Every evening brought a delightful surprise and a delicious turndown tea~~~ A special shoutout to our concierge, Bitty, who was incredibly attentive to our needs and super quick to respond! 🩷🩷🩷 What touched me the most was when she noticed my friend and I hadn't seen each other in a while and printed our photos to create a surprise! So thoughtful! Thank you so much, Bitty~~~ The complimentary luggage tag is also super cute!!!

Overall, it's pretty good. The scenery is nice, and it's quiet and private – a great place to relax. However, there are a few downsides: 1. There's no desk in the room for working, and the power outlets are far away with no extension cord. 2. I wanted to switch rooms, but the butler took a very long time to confirm and disappeared for a while, causing me to miss the sunset (such a shame!). 3. For breakfast, there was only one server who seemed overwhelmed. The breakfast itself wasn't great; the salmon ran out and wasn't refilled. 4. I asked a staff member to make coffee, but it just came out as plain hot water, which was a bit frustrating. 5. The minibar has noticeably shrunk compared to before, with just a few Cokes and Sprites, which is a bit disappointing. I guess the hotel might be struggling financially.
- Pingfangjiejie
The environment is elegant, with beautiful scenery at every turn – truly unique! The staff are warm and polite, and the room is comfortable. After a soak in the constant-temperature private hot spring and a refreshing shower, followed by a bowl of soothing nightcap soup, you can slowly take in the ancient village, historical sites, and old trees. Everywhere you look is a beautiful view…

Facilities: The room offers an excellent view directly facing the Forbidden City. The swimming pool is comfortably heated, and the gym is well-equipped with machines that are maintained like new. Cleanliness: Impeccable. The bedding was pristine and crisp, and the bathroom was spotless. The turndown service even organized personal belongings meticulously. Ambiance: Located in Wangfujing, yet surprisingly quiet. The floral arrangements and artwork in the public areas are tasteful and elegant. The unique scent of oriental agarwood creates a distinctive, secluded atmosphere. Service: Our butler, Xiao Lü, was the absolute highlight. She attentively observed our needs, proactively prepared a rainy-day itinerary, and arranged a late check-out. Her thoughtfulness felt like that of an old friend, making it a truly warm and memorable experience. Overall, it exceeded our expectations! 👍🏻

This stay truly exceeded our expectations, and we especially want to thank the duty manager, Alex Chi. We actually encountered a few minor issues at the beginning of our stay, and I thought it would just be an unremarkable experience. But then Alex appeared, patiently listened to our concerns, and resolved everything professionally and promptly. His attentiveness was evident in every detail – a gesture, a glance, a moment of listening – making us feel truly valued. It was a real privilege to meet such a perfect manager. The hotel's design is exceptional, especially the Library area, which is quiet and stylish; it's a delightful place just to sit and relax. The doorman was also very thoughtful, making us feel welcome every time we entered and exited. The breakfast service was excellent too, with exquisite food and prompt service. We will always remember this stay.

First of all, Jason at the front desk is very helpful and thoughtful. Not to mention the rest of the hotel staff were also friendly and helpful yet leaving you great space of privacy. We were very well taken care of. We stayed in the courtyard suite which is lovely. It feels magical to stay at such a historical place. Breakfast is not in buffet style but the selections offered are good enough especially the Chinese style breakfast. We also enjoyed the champagne and cold cuts platter. Thrilled to find out the spa service operate until 11pm, which we can go to sleep straight after the massage after dinner. On the other hand, the private access entrance to the summer palace is a plus point. As we don’t need to go through the usual public entrance that is full of people. The complimentary traditional costume photoshoot was surprisingly good. The quality of the costumes and make up are easily comparable ( or better than) to the paid one offer outside. Overall, we had a really good time throughout the stay where we were able to experience the tranquility and elegance of the Summer Palace. The team at Summer Palace Hotel done a good job!

A quadrangle courtyard in a royal garden! This super-spacious suite even had a welcome snack box that was a puzzle to open, like a giant toy. The fruit selection was plentiful, and all the snacks were delicious 😋. The service was warm and attentive. For breakfast, I had a jianbing guozi from the imperial kitchen, along with old Beijing-style fried dough sticks and tofu pudding – absolutely delightful. I really liked the quality of the makeup, outfits, and photography from the hotel's travel photoshoot service. When I entered the Summer Palace through the side gate and saw the surprised looks on the other tourists' faces, I instantly felt like I had traveled from the Qing Dynasty to modern times, haha 😂. This is definitely a hotel I'll stay at again; highly recommended!

Five-star review! The Peninsula Beijing's service is impeccable, and a special shout-out to butler ALEN! He was incredibly patient during check-in, explaining all the room amenities, and was super responsive. The room was spacious and comfortable with excellent smart facilities. From check-in to check-out, the service was thoughtful and attentive, striking the perfect balance. The location is superb, within walking distance to Wangfujing and the Forbidden City, making travel incredibly convenient. ALEN's meticulous and warm service truly made the entire trip incredibly enjoyable. I'll definitely ask for him again on my next stay!

The service was incredibly responsive, and the breakfast was fantastic, especially the egg dishes. The room's central control system was very high-tech. The hotel also offered a wide array of services. I stayed in a two-story suite this time. There was an excellent selection of pillows, and the mattress firmness was perfect for Chinese preferences. The rooftop bar on the 14th floor offers stunning sunset views. On a clear day, sitting there and watching the sunset brings a wonderful sense of peace.

The hotel environment is clean and elegant, the rooms are meticulously cleaned, the bedding is soft, the soundproofing is good, the hot water supply is stable, and the facilities are complete. It's also very convenient for getting around and dining. The front desk and cleaning staff were consistently polite and friendly, and responded to requests very quickly. I want to especially commend Manager Tang from Cedirc. He was professional and kind. During check-in, he patiently helped me coordinate the room type and explained all the hotel's amenities. When I had questions about my itinerary during my stay, Manager Tang was attentive and helped me resolve everything, handling matters with a steady and thoughtful approach. His service felt genuine and warm, not perfunctory at all. I felt completely at home throughout my stay. This hotel is suitable for both leisure travel and business trips. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time, and I highly recommend it to everyone!

Four years later, I'm back to experience the Waldorf Astoria's Steiff Enchanted Forest themed suite! Last time I stayed in a terrace suite, and while this one is a bit smaller, it's still full of childlike wonder. From check-in, every staff member was incredibly proactive and enthusiastic, especially Chloe and Willow, who were exceptionally thoughtful and attentive. The delivery of desserts and the welcome bear visit times were all arranged in advance. The room also came with a cute bear bag and a teddy bear toy 🧸. Last time we were here for our wedding anniversary, and this time for a birthday – the hotel really excels at making special occasions memorable. Although the room isn't huge, it's fully equipped with all the amenities, including two bathrooms and a super spacious bathtub.

The Waldorf Astoria Beijing truly lives up to its reputation as a benchmark for luxury in the capital. Nestled in Jinyu Hutong, it offers a tranquil escape amidst the bustling city, perfectly blending old Beijing charm with modern, light luxury. Willow, our private concierge, provided impeccable service; check-in was swift, seamless, and incredibly warm and welcoming! Our room was quiet and elegant, and the bedding was wonderfully soft and comfortable – the kids absolutely loved it. The breakfast spread was extensive, and the Eggs Benedict were absolutely delicious! The hotel is also within walking distance of Wangfujing and the Forbidden City, making it ideal for both business trips and leisure vacations. This will definitely be my top choice for my next visit to Beijing!

The room was absolutely satisfying, truly living up to its reputation as a design hotel. The service was excellent too, and the view from the window was lovely. The location is perfect; it's right by the Art Museum subway station, which is just one stop away from the pedestrian street. The art museum itself is right downstairs, and I was lucky enough to catch the Da Vinci exhibition. Longfu Temple is also just a short walk diagonally across from the hotel. In the evening, if the weather's good, the sunset views are fantastic. At night, you can head to Wangfujing Pedestrian Street. For Jingshan Park and Beihai Park, I'd recommend an early morning visit to witness the amazing功夫 (kung fu) practiced by Beijing's elderly residents. For food, just search on review apps; delivery is also very fast. If I had to pick a minor flaw, it would be that the hotel entrance isn't very easy to find, and the navigation wasn't entirely accurate. Complimentary fruit: They even surprised me with a small cake for my birthday. Mini-bar drinks in the room are complimentary and replenished daily.
- LM2577
Traveling with a child, the hotel experience exceeded my expectations. The breakfast was very satisfying, with a rich selection of Western options and distinctive Chinese dishes. The restaurant service was excellent; they remembered where we sat and promptly provided everything our child needed. The housekeeping staff cleaned the room meticulously (not just superficially clean). Since it was very hot in Beijing, they kept replenishing our water, reminding us to ensure our child stayed hydrated, and thoughtfully advised my older son to be careful when pushing his younger brother. I just took a random photo, but it really shows how much care the hotel puts into its guests' stay. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Beijing.

A butler was waiting for us while we parked, showing exceptional service. Upon checking in at the lobby, we were offered complimentary snacks and drinks. To my delight, they upgraded our room for free, allowing for a better view of Yanqi Lake. The room table had fruit and wine, and the butler had even prepared aromatherapy. Surprisingly, the bathroom floor was also thoughtfully equipped with a non-slip mat. The butler also brought our luggage to our room, and to my surprise, given the slightly chilly temperature, they even brought down a warm coat from the car – incredibly considerate! We had initially mentioned needing to get our luggage, but only remembered when they went to retrieve it, and then they thoughtfully brought us the warm coat! We also participated in an afternoon cultural tour, which provided a deeper understanding of the hotel's design style and philosophy. The food was excellent, and the hotel facilities, cleanliness, and environment were superb! Not to mention the butler's service – it was exceptional! I highly recommend this hotel to families visiting Yanqi Lake. If we go again in the future, we will definitely choose Yanbai Mountain Villa again!
- xxxxmmmmy
The hotel boasts stunning views of Yanqi Lake, especially from the lakeview rooms, which offer unparalleled views. The rooms are well-equipped, the bedding is comfortable, and the stay was excellent. The staff was friendly and professional, and their response was quick, from check-in instructions to daily needs. I particularly enjoyed the hotel's cultural experience—the tea-making ceremony was full of atmosphere, with its lingering fragrance and expertly executed techniques, allowing for an immersive experience of Chinese aesthetics. Overall, the Yanbai Hotel not only boasts top-notch hardware, but also impresses with its attention to detail and service. I'd definitely return if I had the chance.
