We had a wonderful stay at the Dakota in Leeds. The staff were phenomenal and very accommodating, even taking delivery of an item prior to our arrival. It is excellently located, with a solid albeit not spectacular breakfast. Arguably the only area for improvement would be providing a few more amenities in the room. There is no mini fridge, limited wardrobe space, and the bathroom was a little lacking - no cotton pads, cotton ear buds, or toilet brush. Otherwise I can highly recommend this place for any stay in Leeds.

I made the reservation at 12-07 arriving at about 3-15 - 3-30 and had requested an extra blanket but was told this was not possible because I had made the booking late and reception did not have any!! These are woodland cabins and I should have thought this would have been a common request and extra blankets readily available. The cabin was heated by a movable electric heater that took hours to warm the cabin. The doors closed with difficulty possibly because of repeated painting and there was paint over the metal handles. The outer door did not close from teh inside. There was no where to sit in the cabin and no free surface to set things as the only suitable surface, a desk, had a free standing TV on it. There was a wardrobe but it smelt fusty. The food was good but the service was slow because the restaurant seemed understaffed with teh barman helping as a waiter. The setting is beautiful and the staff are very pleasant. There is ample tea and coffee in teh room and a kettle.

I had a very pleasant stay at Malmaison Hotel Leeds. The room was comfortable, clean, and overall the experience was excellent. I especially want to thank Zeinab, who was incredibly kind and helpful. She kindly helped me change to a room in a location that suited me much better, and I was very happy with the result. Her patience, professionalism, and warm attitude made a real difference to my stay. Thank you for the wonderful service — I truly appreciate it and would happily stay here again.

The location of this hotel is amazing, the room is loverly, a few issues with reception but hopefully all put right, it's in the middle of all the shops pubs and restaurants, we shall definitely return, the visit was amazing, car park is right next door, and very easy to access, but it will add £25.00 onto your weekend, but it is central, it's been loverly.

We had an overnight stay for dinner and breakfast and were very impressed with the hotel, set in an old Manor House which is well maintained to keep the original style alive. The food was nice and the experience was great even despite the original restaurant room being closed for refurbishments. The bar is set in the Manor House’s drawing room which made for a nice setting after having dinner in the evening. Overall it was a very nice stay and was reasonably priced for what was on offer and we hope to stay again!

Great location,very quiet peaceful area beautiful room and very clean I lived it . But my stay would have been better if everything had gone smoothly I Just had a problem with the hotel asking for a deposit and not accepting cash for it , I do understand policies are different but after a 12hour flight plus 3 hour train ride all I needed was to get my room and rest but I had to sit for over 20 plus minutes trying to figure out what to do with my situation.I suggest they should be more accommodating and attentive to different situations and customers circumstances rather than just saying we don’t accept this and not willing to find a solution to help. Later on after about 30 minutes or so a very nice friendly manager came to my rescue and found a solution .which could have been done in the first place than having a customer wait for long because someone else is not willing to budge and understand a situation and find a solution.

We stayed 2 nights in the hotel and found the room to be really comfortable, the staff really friendly and helpful, and the food was really excellent. We didn't use the spa facilities as always arrived too late but the pool looked really inviting. Location was also good as just a few minutes off the M1. I would thoroughly recommend a stay at this hotel.

The hotel's location is super convenient, with a mall right downstairs. The room was also very clean, and the cleaning staff came to tidy up every day. During my stay, it was a bit noisy due to some nearby events, but a staff member at the front desk was incredibly patient and helped me find and switch to a room facing a different direction. It made me feel very well taken care of! I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time!

The hotel itself was quiet, comfortable and with a great location. The windows to the room do not open and the air handling shut itself off in the middle of the night so woke up feeling queasy for lack of fresh air. The breakfast is a disaster. Poor quality materials, poor hot breakfast alternatives for vegans/vegetarians/pescatarians. Items there were cold and flavourless. Cold options were poor. Only one cereal on offer. Presented with chipped crockery. I drink espresso and only offered massive mugs. Bread is poor quality. Toaster set up incorrectly. Orange juice was not orange juice but water with a bit of orange flavour.

The room is a normal-sized one, equipped with 2 British twin bed (Width: 130~140cm), and it was prepared in an acceptable condition. Air-conditioner is available, but you may find that it need to be turned on for 2~3 times a day, as the system had been set in an economic mode by the hotel. The breakfast is a typically British one, whilst baked mushroom is not provided. Nevertheless, the breakfast tastes good, and you could serve yourself with chocolate croissants, cheese, hot tomato mush, vegetarian-friendly sausages, honey, tinned peaches and coconut yoghurt. Toothpastes and toothbrushes could be ordered with a fee (￡2), thereby you'd better rake your own's. The location is reasonable, since the hotel adjoins the John Lewis shopping mall, and there's only 10-min walk way between the hotel and Leeds coach station. Meanwhile, you may walk to the Victoria and Trinity shopping centres in 15~20 minutes from the hotel, though it might be a bit inconvenient to travel to the nearby downtown by bus, given the lack of bus stops next to the gate of this hotel. Overall, it's a foolproof option for someone who anticipate a lodging experience surpassing the average level there.
