It was 5:30 PM in Otemachi, Tokyo, and a massive halo, like a holy light, enveloped the area, reflecting the silhouette of the world's most beautiful CBD on the glass facade of Otemachi Tower. Perched atop this magnificent skyscraper, Aman Tokyo, which stunned the world a decade ago, remains an unparalleled benchmark for modern city hotels.
|The soaring 30-meter high atrium, crafted with washi lanterns, wood textures, and concrete and rock, creates a 'dry landscape' garden in the urban clouds.
|The view facing the Imperial Palace is arguably Tokyo's most beautiful skyline (it ruthlessly trumps the already impressive view from the neighboring Bulgari).
|While the ambiance at Arva, the Italian restaurant on the other side of the lobby, is superb, the food wasn't to my taste. I'd recommend the Aman Cafe on the first floor, a glasshouse enveloped by the 'Otemachi Forest' oasis instead.

The entire hotel exudes a sophisticated and upscale dark aesthetic, and the high-ceilinged lobby is astonishing for a space located so high up. The room's floor-to-ceiling windows offer a direct view of the Imperial Palace, and on clear days, you can even see Mount Fuji in the distance. The hotel facilities are excellent, and the breakfast is delicious. It was a very satisfying stay. The only drawback is its location in a business district, so there isn't much to explore nearby. However, it's conveniently located not far from Tokyo Station, just a ten-minute walk away, making it easy to access the subway or JR lines. I would definitely consider staying here again in the future.

The experience staying at Bvlgari Tokyo was superb, beautiful people, fantastic service, shopping mall is right downstairs, within walking distance to Ginza and the train station. The guest room is beautifully designed, amenities were overwhelming. Breakfast was fantastic and well presented, must try the swimming pool.

Janu is hands down the best hotel I've stayed at in Tokyo – so new and incredibly modern!
First off, the dining options are amazing. Just for breakfast, you have three different restaurants to choose from, and they're all complimentary. The food is delicious and varied. There are two Japanese restaurants, an Italian place, Cantonese, a grill, and even afternoon tea! Ordering in-room dining is super convenient too, you can do it right from the iPad. Plus, the minibar is free.
The wellness area is unbelievably comprehensive. Besides the spa, gym, pool, and sauna, they even have a nail salon and a hair stylist! That's incredibly convenient and a wonderful surprise; I definitely need to try it next time. I had a facial this trip, and it was excellent! If you love working out, you can book fitness classes. I even saw an indoor golf simulator and a boxing ring… I'm genuinely shocked. It’s perfect for both shopping trips and relaxing getaways.
The rooms are also very spacious, not cramped at all. The staff are exceptional; you can tell they're much better trained than at other hotels. The hotel upgraded my room, and I've stayed in both types of rooms – they're actually quite similar in size. All rooms are pretty much the same unless you're in a suite. The view from the Tokyo Tower-facing rooms isn't particularly special, though.
The only minor downside is that this hotel doesn't have a strong partnership with Trip.com. When I wanted to extend my stay, customer service told me only twin rooms were available, but I found king rooms when I checked directly with the hotel. However, I'm very grateful that customer service helped me book restaurants in advance this time. 😊
Looking forward to my next visit! 🥳🥳

This hotel exceeded my expectations! My room was upgraded to a suite, and I could catch a glimpse of the Tokyo Tower from the balcony. The hotel's omakase was also excellent. There was this incredibly delicious Chiyuki apple juice in the minibar. I called to ask if I could buy a few bottles to take home, and room service just sent up six bottles to my room. I thought I'd be charged for them, but they weren't on my bill when I checked out. Everything was perfect! The customer relations team was also very genuine. This was the most satisfying stay among all the hotels in the 10,000 yen range I've stayed at in Tokyo this year.

Hoshinoya Tokyo is situated in a tower in Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, uniquely blending a traditional Japanese garden with a high-rise hotel concept. While its immediate surroundings are dominated by corporate offices like Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs, its location isn't as prime as other similarly priced luxury hotels such as The Peninsula Tokyo or Bulgari, with a noticeable lack of nearby dining options or convenience stores.
The service, on the other hand, truly made guests feel at home. Each floor boasts a dedicated Japanese-style common area, but the atmosphere felt a bit too rigid or rule-bound. For example, when I asked for a second welcome dessert, it wasn't possible.
However, I would strongly advise against staying here for a business trip. Firstly, the hotel's policy of not allowing unregistered guests to enter is quite inconvenient and arguably unsuitable for a business-oriented establishment. Secondly, the hotel itself offers a rich array of experiences – from its two-Michelin-starred Japanese restaurant to kimono fittings, tea ceremonies, kendo classes, hot springs, and sightseeing bicycles. These features highlight its strong appeal for leisure travel, making it less ideal for business.

We really love the hotel service provided, public transport convenient as it’s situated below the hotel. The only setback is location at CBD area, overall experience good

We booked Park Hyatt very last minute due to issue with our original hotel that we booked in Tokyo. We travelled with a 3 & 4 years old and the hotel was amazing. The playground across the hotel is a big plus. From the moment we arrived the staff made us feel very welcome and the process was very seamlessly. We left the first hotel fairly early and knew we couldn't get into the room but our plan was to go through Shinjuku and knew we wouldn't be back until later that day. The hotel lobby is on the 41st floor, you can see the entire city view and at night the sight is amazing.
The hotel location is about a 15min walk to Shinjuku station which is not bad and there is a shuttle that runs every 30min as well. Concierge was very helpful with everything during our stay.
Breakfast service was professional and efficient. The staff were very friendly with kids and not snobbish at all. The hotel is an iconic place, most of the time we took a taxi or delivery they know the hotel by name.
I highly recommend anyone that would like to pamper themselves in Tokyo. The hotel is a bit dated by the upkeep of the hotel is very good. Only thing that was a bit annoying was the light switches since it's not modern you can't control some lights individually.

The service can be said to be the ceiling of the industry, meticulous and thoughtful without leaving any trace. I stayed in the hotel for a long time. I often drank tea and drank in the room and looked at the scenery, but I never saw the cleaning staff. However, they cleaned up twice a day. Very detailed. There are several staff in the restaurant who can speak Chinese, and communication is very convenient. Special praise to Sun Xiaoqi for helping to recover the jewelry. The club staff are also very gentle. As for the view from the room, you can see Mount Fuji and Tokyo at night, it’s unbeatable! Although the decoration is old, it has its own characteristics. Like the library very much.
However, there is often a strong smell of gasoline at the entrance on the second floor. There are many staff waiting there all the time. I feel sorry for them and it also reduces the sense of the hotel. I hope this issue will be improved during the renovation this year.

Second choice for Four Seasons Otemachi
Currently my top choice in Tokyo
Service is meticulous yet respectful.
Advantages: Quiet, high floor, unparalleled views
This time: Upgraded to a deluxe suite (directly facing the Imperial Palace) on-site. It's on the top floor, larger, and offers better views day and night; the bathroom is separate and larger, and the bathtub is by the window with a night view.
Room service: 24-hour. Breakfast delivery is the same price as dining in, but I still prefer the delivery service; the fruit portions are generous.
Bar: VITRU, one of Asia's top 50 bars, is located on the lobby level. Walk-ins should be easy for guests. Drinks are reasonably priced, and the decor is very French (due to a collaboration/branding with a Parisian bar, or perhaps its inspiration).
Location: Located above Chiyoda Otemachi, owned by Mitsui. It's a bit far from the subway platform, but getting to Tokyo Station by taxi is convenient, and getting to Ginza by taxi takes less than ten minutes, which is acceptable. Otemachi Station has excellent transportation connections, making it more suitable for me than Azabu.
Facilities: Although it's been open for a few years, it still looks very new.

Let's start with the positives: The location and facilities are excellent, the room is spacious, and I even had a view of the Imperial Palace from my window. Although it was partially obstructed, considering I booked a basic room, it was more than acceptable. Upon arrival, the staff immediately helped with my luggage and inquired about my name, which was very thoughtful. Turndown service and replenishment of amenities in the evening were prompt. All staff members throughout the hotel were professional and responsive.
Now for the negatives: I wouldn't call it discrimination, but it's clear the hotel primarily caters to and prioritizes Western guests (there were many Westerners staying there). They even offer gluten-free bread at breakfast. I was assigned a room on the lowest floor, the 8th floor, and I didn't see any Western guests on my floor. When using the elevators, they were always going to floors 10 and above. Additionally, a cart with spare amenities was constantly parked right outside my room door, which was quite an eyesore every time I opened it. I brought this up during check-out, but I doubt they'll take it seriously.

Very disappointing Spa facilities for ladies. Only a warm (38 °C) marble sauna. The male facilities have a proper dry sauna and jacuzzi.
Also, while visiting the Chinese restaurant, we ordered their 1/4 duck, but the rolls were only made with the Duck skin. We were told they dispose of the Duck meat. Crazy! After querying, they brought us another 1/4 duck with skin and meat, but we were charged for it. We didn't even ask for the second portion. Paid for both orders in the end.
I regret booking this hotel. Not worth the high rate.

The location is superb, right in Ginza. You can step out and immediately start shopping, with Isetan and Chanel just downstairs. It's even more convenient than staying at the Aman.
While the hotel isn't huge and can't be compared to an Edition in China, it's excellent for Japan. The service, in particular, is outstanding. Every time you come back or leave, countless staff members greet you – almost to the point of being overwhelming!
The room is spacious, comfortable, and clean, and the bedding is incredibly cozy, especially the pillows. They're exactly the soft type I prefer.
- Rouruodebunengzili
The hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of Ginza, and the room size is quite generous. Since the hotel is relatively new and in such a prime Ginza location where space is at a premium, it's understandable that there aren't many common areas.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise during my recent stay! From the moment I stepped into the lobby, the warm and elegant atmosphere was incredibly relaxing. The room was spacious and bright, decorated in a modern yet tasteful style. The bedding was soft and comfortable, guaranteeing a good night's sleep. What truly stands out is the hotel's excellent location – within walking distance to several popular attractions and shopping centers, making transportation incredibly convenient. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, check-in was swift and efficient, and they even thoughtfully provided us with a guide to local dining spots. Furthermore, the breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, with both Chinese and Western dishes available. The freshly made noodles and baked bread were particularly memorable. In summary, this stay was perfect. Whether for business or leisure, I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and look forward to my next visit!

Luxury and quite expensive hotel, large and comfortable room with a wonderful view of the city landscape; maybe you'd expect for that price a better breakfast buffet.
