"We are happy with everything: The hotel itself is in the old wooden style Spacious room The highest level of service During an isolation period, we stayed in the entire hotel alone The spa with mineral water is great, especially the outdoor swimming pool Everything is neat and thoughtful The food is great, everything is fresh and crazy Many details (bathrobes, hygiene products, changing towels, cleaning, etc.) We will definitely come again! "
"Hotel muy bonito y acogedor con un circuito thermal y una piscina exterior de agua caliente espectacular pero lo mejor de todo es el trato recibido por todo el personal del hotel ,te hacen sentir como si estuvieras en casa de unos amigos que te quieren agradar en todo momento. Nunca habia recibido un trato así en ningun otro hotel . Así se hace imposible no desear volver pronto a ese lugar.Gracias"

"My wife and I stayed at Mas Salagros from 11/10/19 to 13/10/19. We intended the brief stay to end our trip to Spain with rest and relaxation. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed and left early. It is clear that the staff do not communicate with one another, between shifts, or between departments. Reception has no clue about dining, dining has no clue about anything, and no one is coordinating with the spa. First and foremost a significant lack of vegan or healthy food options. My wife has a chronic illness which severely limits her food options. I choose to eat primarily vegan diet, with flexibility. The staff informed us prior to our stay that their would be plenty of vegan options available. Accommodations the first night included: pasta with tomato sauce or rice with vegetables. I understand that sometimes the only dietary option is something simple. However, this meal was low quality and over-priced. I chose the pasta dish which was an altered menu item(tortiglioni with salmon). The only options are menu items which have the protein removed and still cost the same. Sixteen euros for a plate of pasta, some tomato sauce, and a handful of crimini mushrooms is robbery. We held out hope for breakfast because the website states that fresh vegetables and eggs from the farm would be served. The eggs at breakfast were scrambled and liquid. The vegetables were scarce and found only in a quinoa mix. Supposedly you can get eggs to order as part of the buffet, but no one tells you that. There was not much we could eat, mostly bread, jam, and cereal. The kitchen and so-called chef are certainly not "eco". One more note on the food- after the first meal, my stomach became sick which continued throughout the weekend. Secondly, we were told that there was no massage availability during our stay. But when we went to the baths on Saturday night, we were offered massage as an up-sell at the spa. Also of concern, we were given a dinner reservation for after our baths on Saturday. This was late in the evening, but we were told clearly it was no problem. When we arrived for our meal the staff told us the kitchen was closed and had no knowledge of our reservation. The staff said they could accommodated us with salads. We were charged twelve euros each for simple salads, for which we had no alternate choice, except to go hungry. In our room, the shower did not drain properly. We told reception about this on Friday, it was never addressed. Also there were constant mosquitoes in the room. I left with bites all over. I don't mind some camping, but not at Mas Salagros prices. Lastly, if you voice concern, the management will argue with you. This is hospitality 101 failure. I just had an awful stay at your establishment, I don't need you to argue with me about it. Just made a bad experience worse. For the price, you are better off staying in BCN, you will get more for your money, be more relaxed, and it will be more eco."
"We spent two relaxing nights at this eco-resort and spa after a long European road trip. World class spa with hot and cold tubs of natural spring water built under a ancient barn with a additional attached outdoor pool. The farm was built around a 1497 farm house located on a Roman Hot Spring. Only 35 minutes to the Barcelona airport and 25 minutes to the Barcelona gothic quarter. Two pools, one for adults only, very green and chillaxed. The restaurant was better than a Michelin Star restaurant we ate at in France. Well worth the visit."
"Five days in this lovely paradise, rooms very good, staff excellent and food exquisite would recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing break. Only thing I would suggest is hiring a car otherwise it’s taxis but saying that we, apart from one day, have stayed at the resort, and have had a wonderful peaceful break. Spa massage rated as best ever had!"

Very Good

"Well the hotel looks charming and is indeed well appointed with pleasant rooms, as long as you don't take one on the sea front due to very busy road and railway immediately opposite. HOWEVER, this is where the good news stops! I have stayed at thousands of hotels worldwide and never been met with such poor service and money grabbing attitude. When you call to book the room the very first question is Cash or Credit (I should have been wary at this point) - they clearly want you to book with a credit card as it helps the scam that comes later. First, almost minor point, having stayed at hotels worldwide I am use to the standard of 11.00 or 12.00 check out... not at Liar de Capitans. At exactly 10,00 we have knocking on our room door and a simultaneous call from the reception desk saying that is now past 10.00 (by a few seconds) we have automatically to pay 15 euro charge for a "late" check out... 10.00 is not late! I later checked my card report and find that they made this first unauthorized transaction within minutes of making the claim on us for a "late" check out. The biggest part of this whole money grabbing scheme comes after you have left the hotel. Within 45 minutes of departure we received a communication that due to a small scratch (about 1 cm long from the photo sent although it was hard to even see anything wrong in the picture) on the door frame leading into the room we occupied they have - without approval - charged our card for an additional 50 euro. There was no prior discussion, no pleasantries and no request - just an automatic charge for something we did not do and which was not authorised. We did not leave the hotel with our card details so they put the 50 euro charge through as an online e-commerce transaction - this was not an online transaction and it was not approved. Despite many calls to the hotel on the two days following our stay the manager refused to talk with us and would only reiterate their threats to take money as they pleased from our card via the unfortunate russian girl (I wonder is she had a visa!?) in reception. The receptionist told us that the manger said it must be us who made this small scratch because "the manger, the cleaner and the receptionist each inspect each room (obviously on their hands and knees with a magnifying glass) in detail after every guest has left" - I doubt this is true and in any case, I never even heard of such a crazy practice at any other hotel; it's clear that this is the standard pitch to defend their fraud. Though my card company is currently processing the chargeback for the unauthorised transactions we incurred as a result of this hotel's dishonest and uncourteous practice it does not address the horrific experience and considerable time needed to deal with the issue post our stay. I expect the Liar hotel to suddenly appear on tripadvisor and refute these claims but please be very aware - if you stay here then pay cash, do not leave any card details! Better"
"We enjoyed a brief stay at Lar de Capitans Hotel is El Masnou. We had the Julia suite which is essentially the third floor with a large balcony. The suite is very large, particularly by European standards. We found the room exceptionally comfortable. The room affords an excellent view of the sea and the balcony is quite large. The property is located near the Ocala train station, a stop for regional trains. This made it easy for us to travel from Barcelona. There are numerous small shops and restaurants nearby. The street in front of the hotel is very busy and there is some road noise. The property has a lift. There’s a restaurant on the ground floor which seemed popular but we didn’t try it. We found the staff to be charming and helpful. They also spoke very good English which was helpful when there was an issue with our booking. Overall, a great experience. Highly recommended."
"My teenage daughter and I stayed in a large room on the first floor with a balcony overlooking the beach. It was clean and spacious with comfortable beds and a huge bathroom. The shower looked a bit unappealing but was hot and powerful - perfect after a day at the beach. The hotel is easy to get to by public transport from the airport - the A1 bus into the centre then a direct train ride out, both bus and train run frequently. We spent the mornings on the beach and the afternoons exploring the city. Staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. They offered sun shades and beach towels and even provided a coffee maker with a generous supply of coffee pods, perfect for breakfast on the balcony with croissants from the bakery next door."

"偌大个5星 Entering the door without a concierge to help open the door or carry luggage When I checkin, I wondered why everyone has a bag of gifts. But when we didn't, we asked the waiter to give me a bottle of water. But the overall feeling is poor, and the service attitude is different. The chair by the pool of the hotel has to collect 35 euros. One person only blames himself for too few foreigners to stay at Hilton, and, for the first time, see Next time is still good for Mandarin Oriental. . . Equal treatment Every day, the room won't help clean the cup. It may be 10 euros. The tip is too small. People are busy cleaning the house of 20 euros. A total of 3 nights stay. This service level can save me money 2 days later."
"Near the seaside, there is a big mall downstairs. We took the bus from the city. It was very convenient. I did n’t wait long for check in and check out. When I checked in, the lady at the front desk gave me chocolates for my daughter. The floor is a bit low. The area is quite reasonable. The bed is large and comfortable. The bath is standing in the bathtub. There is no problem with the shower and water temperature. We did not eat breakfast and could not evaluate it."
"We do not have breakfast, but can be an extra bed, you need to contact customer service by phone. The location of the hotel is not far from the airport, it is quite convenient. We are a parent-child traveler, which is the standard of Hilton. Not bad."

"I was very excited to spend a night at the hotel and was initially impressed by the room and the hotel generally, we went to the roof, and enjoyed the view, which was great. It all appeared to be heading for a pretty great evening, then it was time to eat in the restaurant. We booked in for dinner at 7.30pm and were the first people in the restaurant. We were surprised at the lack of options on the menu (4 starters and 2 options for mains - a chicken burger and a beef burger, nothing particularly special or challenging) We waited over 90 minutes to receive our starters. The person who was serving, who was clearly overworked and had too many tables was apologetic and brought out food over, he seemed like a nice guy, big shout out to him, the woman who was “working” with him was usefulness, and just moved around the restaurant not doing particularly much, talking to the mail waiter every now and then. We then waited for our burgers, and wait we did. We left the restaurant at 10.15, having been forced to order food from a local restaurant, because the burgers showed no signs of coming, despite a request. We were told the burgers would be out in 2 minutes, when we informed the waiter we were leaving, they were not. The restaurant was far from full, due to covid, so how it took so long for food not to arrive is a mystery. There genuinely couldn’t have been more than 20/25 burgers to cook, a big challenge in 3.5 hours. Upon complaining to your Sales Manager who was working behind reception, I was informed that I was lucky I got the room for the price I had, due to covid and he seemed to be unsure of my query. I asked to speak with someone more senior, he pretty much refused to even put me in contact with anyone. The Sales Manager, mid-way through our conversation, decided to pick up a call, with no word of warning or apology, and left me stood there for several minutes. This was genuinely the worst service I’ve ever received in a hotel. The hotel was kind enough not to charge us for our pre-paid dinner or breakfast (we didn´t receive the dinner and based on that didn´t bother with breakfast) which was nice, but really the bare minimum. I do understand we are in COVID times, but if you cannot operate your hotel, serve a starter and a main in nearly 4 and a half hours and then tell me I’m the lucky one for getting such a good deal, I’m not sure you should stay open. Thanks again for the pretty disastrous stay. I´ll definitely not be recommending you to any of my friends/ family/ enemies"
"When looking for a nice getaway in Barcelona city center we were looking for a nice hotel with rooftop pool. The 1882 had much more to offer than that. Not only is it marvellous with a modern and nature inspired decoration, but it also has the most thoughtful staff (Yasmina always was looking for the best service for us) and commits to serious responsible tourism that is a value close to my heart. The pool and rooftop terrace are extremely nice and despite the time of the year we were able to enjoy the quiet clean and comfy outdoor area. The hotel takes safety seriously and had a thorough protocol in place that made us feel safe from the beginning to the end. I recommend to all Barcelona locals to book the hotel for a night or 2 and have some summer vibe away from the beach and the worries of covid. Would strongly recommend/want to come back"
"This was my first ever time visiting Barcelona and this hotel was excellently located and made the whole trip. We visited in October and whilst the weather wasn't sunbathing weather we still had chance to enjoy the rooftop pool during the day as well as enjoying a drink on the terrace overlooking the Sagrada Familia at night. The room was beautifully decorated and all the little additions such as the quirky statuettes made it even more special, my only gripe was that the view overlooked a very industrial area, however this cannot be helped as it is a city centre hotel and not a beach front one. Overall this was a superb stay which I will recommend to everyone if I know they are travelling to Barcelona in future"

"Breakfast is rich, by the sea, the price is reasonable, I don't know if the price will rise in the summer, now the price is very high cost, it is recommended to stay, the shortage is: the staff service attitude is generally cold, the elevator is very slow"
"The hotel is relatively clean, convenient transportation and safe. A little far from the city center, the hotel has its own swimming pool, breakfast has not been experienced, wait for the next opportunity"
"The best view of sunrise by the sea hotel! Bathing in the sun in the Mediterranean Sea, you can only wear T-shirts for the New Year. Haha ~ Go downstairs and walk to the beach in five minutes."
