The bedroom was consistently 28’c with no A/C over the 4 days when it was only mid-teens outside. We got next to no sleep because of the extreme heat and left feeling extremely unwell every morning. The hallways and reception are also boiling, there is something wrong with the building. I was down at reception at 3am asking for a fan, after 20 mins a small desk fan was found but it didn’t touch the sides of the heat. I could understand if it was during a heatwave but it wasn’t. Even with the window cracked, there is little to no ventilation in the rooms. They also have a seagull problem. You can’t leave the building without being swooped because of the chicks nesting all round the building. We have stayed here numerous times and it was the same last year, they haven’t done anything to mitigate it. This also made it extremely annoying to leave the windows open. The car park is also completely full of massive crater pot holes, which are difficult to navigate when trying to reverse out of the car park because of the 3 CityLink coaches that are allowed to park in the car park every night. This takes away over 24 spaces every night, leaving nowhere to park. It’s been the same every single time we have stayed here and this stay has been our very last straw. It is well located and we have family nearby but this stay was completely hell. I was actually so glad to leave!

The hotel itself was quiet. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Very good price. Kettle was clean. Didn’t use the WiFi. No air conditioning. Seagulls noise outside window meant that we couldn’t keep the window open and the room reached 27°C. Plenty parking spaces but lots of potholes.

Overall, our stay was reasonably positive, but unfortunately the breakfast experience was extremely disappointing. On a positive note, the room was clean, comfortable, and warm, which made for a pleasant and relaxing stay. The staff were helpful, friendly, and professional. It was very clear they were understaffed and being run ragged, yet they still did their absolute best to support guests, which we really appreciated. However, the breakfast on Saturday morning was well below expectations. We had pre-booked and paid in advance, but when we arrived at around 9:00 am, there was no hot water for tea, no yoghurts, and almost no hot food available apart from a few sausages. There was also no orange juice, and a lack of basic items like cutlery and glasses and crockery. The two staff members working in the restaurant were excellent and appeared genuinely shocked themselves when they realised how little food was available. They explained that the hotel had been exceptionally busy the day before and they had not been prepared for similar demand on the Saturday. However, given there was a large event nearby, the hotel was fully booked, and many guests had pre-ordered breakfast, this lack of preparation is difficult to understand. It was also clear there was only one person cooking, who simply could not keep up. What was particularly frustrating was seeing walk-in guests around 9:40 am being charged £10.99 each for breakfast, only to then be told there was no food left and that no more would be prepared as service was ending shortly. This experience fell far below the standard we have come to expect from Premier Inn, especially as we have stayed many times over the years. Based on this, we would expect a full refund for the breakfast, as it did not meet a reasonable standard.

We have stayed at the premier inn at Westhill many times and found it to be very good ,on the last visit there was no chair in the room which I went to reception and they got me one straight away, on our recent stay again no chair as my husband is disabled and we were in a accessible room it is important he is comfortable again I went to reception but was told the chair was broken and they didn’t have a replacement surely if a room is not fully furnished it should not be let out .what happens if a bed is broken are expected to sleep on the floor

Another annual visit to Aberdeenshire to do some walking and sightseeing. Stayed as usual at Premier Inn Westhill. Vullnet on reception always welcoming and a pleasure to speak to. Room nice and comfortable, just someone in the room above mine on level 1 was a bit heavy footed and noisy this time, but luckily not during the night when sleeping. Breakfasts served in the Shepherd's Rest Pub and Grill next door filled me up for the day ahead. I'm assuming that as the Shepherd's Rest is owned and operated by Greene King, that they are unaffected by Whitbread's recent decision to close Brewer's Fayre/Beefeater offerings near their Premier Inn hotels and will continue to trade on the same site going forward.

We have been using this hotel for many years, and have to say that cleaning has gone down, the room we stayed wasn't hoovered and the bathroom hand mould around silicone and you could tell that it had just been wiped and there was some rubbish in toilet bin.. the carpets really need some cleaning or being replaced.., especially the corridors are quite dirty

Literal port in a storm during the snow when we had to bail out of getting to more rural accommodation. With two kids and bikes. The receptionist was very accommodation making sure we got the best room that would be the least awkward. Great room and food, very reasonable and great staff. We unexpectedly had a great time after an initially disappointing end to our journey

I had a wheelchair access room which was very large and had everything I needed. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The adjacent Shepherds Rest pub does great evening meals and breakfast, is very welcoming, and the staff are great. We had a lovely Hogmanay night there. Many thanks to the Premier Inn and Shepherds Rest for a really nice break

As always with Primier Inn, the Beds are Comfey, and the Room's are spotless! The staff are always lovely. At all, Primier Inn, there are restronts attached where you can get dinner and all included Primier Inn Breckfast. The Primier Inn Breckfast is a Breckfat Buffe that has everything that you can think of!

Clean, comfortable room; we were feeling the cold and were able to turn up the temperature quickly. It was nice to have the option of a hot bath.
