The location is good. However, the service is not professional and the house keeping is katastrophal. Would not book this hotel again.

Hotel smelt like smoke and musky air.

This stay was perfect. Everyone was adorable! In addition, we had a room with a window. Basic arrival is scheduled for 3 p.m. We arrived around 9am from our flight and the room was already ready. I can only recommend this establishment to you ☺️

Room was super clean and well appointed. Window opened with view to a quiet courtyard. Cool restaurant downstairs. Great location. Easy walk to city center.

Fantastic hotel in a great location. Room was lovely and spacious. Great access to tram and walkable to a lot of areas and attractions. Most importantly, the staff were wonderful - so warm, friendly and professional. We will definitely stay at The Lancaster Hotel again!

Hotel is located at a nice spot in the city. Facilities are modern and simplistic. However, when you enter this hotel, you have to drag your own suitcases up the staircases before you can reach the elevator. This was painful for me because I was traveling with my 2 children and so had to do this job solely by myself. The breakfast buffet was also not quite as expected: selection was limited and repeated every day.

What a fantastic hotel, not too far away from the centre, but enough that it’s nice and quiet. Beautiful grounds and the Artis Museum and zoo opposite was beautiful. Our rooms were lovely and also very clean. I couldn’t recommend enough.

Older building so has nice tall ceilings and is quiet. Local to tram stop so easy to get to other parts of the city. Staff friendly and helpful. On the downside, shower was tiny and beverage consumables were not reliably replaced.

Many good things about this property - the rooms, though small, are very comfortable and well furnished. The location was great - right opposite the zoo, with many great eateries within walking distance.

It's OK. We had to get moved after checking in because our room had several issues, including a loud noise from a pipe, a draught, and cobwebs. The replacement room was full of dust, so they upgraded our room to a standard room (do not get a Cosy room, they are quite bad). The standard room was better but a bit weird. It was over two floors. After using the toilet, you had to leave the toilet room and walk past the best and upstairs to wash your hands. Peeing in the middle of the night was more complex than ever! I just remembered, on Day 1 we were unpacking and the staff let another couple into our room. Thankfully we were decent, but that could have been a disaster. We then asked the staff member who was with them (and who checked us in a hour earlier) to send someone to look at the draught issue as the window wouldn't close properly. He said he would. An hour later nobody came. I went to reception, he very clearly completely forgot. An hour wasted.

Hotel accommodation in a quiet area, opposite Artis Zoo, tram connections to and from the city center at 2 minutes walking distance. Dining options and museums within walking distance. Friendly staff and a good breakfast. The reception is not on the ground floor and can only be reached via stairs at the entrance, this may cause problems for disabled people

What an amazing hotel. If you’re looking for something right outside of the city center, this is the place.

The hotel was older but updated, the staff was professional and friendly. Breakfast was wonderful. The bar was a nice touch, but could have had fuller drink options.
