Grindelwald Hotels with Bars

The location was fantastic, and the breakfast was incredibly delicious! However, there were stains on the duvet, which was a bit disappointing. Also, we wanted to dine at the hotel's ground-floor restaurant at 7 PM and had asked the staff to make a reservation for us the day before. But when we arrived, we found out the reservation was made for a different restaurant right next door, not the one we requested. The employee who made the mistake didn't even apologize. Another staff member, who was very apologetic, offered to rebook us for a different time slot. I think if the person who made the error had simply apologized, I would have felt much better. That really left a bad taste in my mouth and was quite a letdown. If only the bed linens were spotless and the apology for the mistake had been handled better, I would have been completely satisfied!

This hotel is quite popular, and I managed to snag a south-facing balcony room for two days by booking a month in advance, then booked a north-facing room for the last day. The south-facing rooms are marketed for their Eiger views, but since we were on the second floor, most of our view was blocked by an old hotel undergoing renovation across the street. If you can get a higher floor, the south-facing rooms would be great. What was surprisingly good was the north-facing room on the last day; it also faced a beautiful hillside, got excellent, unobstructed sunlight, and had a very peaceful and lovely vibe. Plus, the rooftop terrace offers stunning views of both the north and south sides, so there's no need to be too particular about the room type. The hotel's location is definitely its best feature; it's incredibly convenient. Sometimes you can see the train arriving and still make it downstairs in time. After a day of hiking, it's amazing to step off the train and right into the hotel! For this price, it offers great value for money in Grindelwald during summer!

Such a cute little hotel right by Grindelwald train station! Only thing is that it is up a really steep hill, no joke to climb up while dragging your luggage. Rooms were very roomy and clean. They kindly upgraded one of our rooms to a bigger room, which was really generous. Breakfast was simple but satisfying and delicious. There were cows at the patch of grass next to the hotel, which amused us greatly. Would recommend.

Very close to the departure point of the cable car, turn left when you go out, the front desk is friendly and welcoming, the breakfast category is quite large, the room is clean and spacious. Open the balcony and you can see the snow-capped mountains and the dreamy slopes. It is also very close to the train station and it is very convenient to walk.

Great stay at Hotel Bernerhof Grindelwald! Super convenient location just next to the train station. Really appreciated the thoughtful touches — there’s a microwave, free coffee, and kettles available, so you can easily heat up food and eat comfortably in the breakfast area, which many hotels don’t offer. Practical and guest-friendly!

The location is at Grindelwald Terminal, not Grindelwald village itself. This is basically the transfer point for Jungfraujoch, which is convenient if you're heading up there. However, there are no shops around, so it's quite desolate. It might suit those who prefer peace and quiet. If you want to go to First mountain, you'll need to take the train to the next stop. The good thing here is that the hotel is a short walk from the station, so you don't have to drag your luggage up any hills. If you're hoping to see the 'Dreamy Hillside' (Eiger North Face views), I'd recommend choosing a hotel closer to Grindelwald station. The shower drain was clogged; the water nearly overflowed onto the bathroom floor. Also, there's no fan in the room, so it could get quite stuffy and hot during the summer.

The hotel is halfway up the hill, some distance from the Grindelwald center and the train station. The hotel also has a shuttle bus that can be transported. We are self-driving. There is free parking in the hotel. It is relatively close to the cable car station of the first mountain. There are not many types of breakfast at the hotel. But it is enough, the biggest feature is the scenery, so beautiful! Whether it is a room or a place to have breakfast, look out for the snowy mountain, if you come to grindelwald next time, you will stay here!

I went on a trip and the memories I stayed here were so good. It's fun to do nothing here. I watched the wonderful view in the morning and evening, and I made coffee, tea and food myself. I had a good time :-)

The facilities of this hotel are not the best, but the transportation is convenient, the decoration is comfortable and the scenery is excellent. From the Gridlewald train station, you can see the signs to the hotel and walk for 5 minutes. It’s just that there is a big slope in front of the hotel, pushing the luggage uphill or pulling the luggage downhill is a little laborious. Our room is facing the dreamy hillside, and the companion likes to sit on the balcony and watch the sunrise and sunset, which is very beautiful. Disposable slippers, soap, toothbrushes, etc. are not available in the room. You can prepare in advance and have a kettle. Surprisingly, we originally thought that the room rate did not include breakfast, and the boss told us that it included breakfast. Breakfast is simple, but it is delicious, like the croissant and yogurt of his family~

The Chalet Jungfrau in Grindelwald has an amazing location; you can see the 'dreamy hillside' right outside, with expansive views and absolutely stunning scenery. It's a shame the main building's view is slightly less spectacular than the annex. Overall, it was very comfortable. Breakfast was incredibly rich and varied, leaving you fully satisfied and starting the day on a high note. The only minor downside is that the facilities are a bit old and dimly lit. Overall, it offers good value for money. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to see the 'dreamy hillside' and is looking for good value!
