Our first time to SA and absolutely loved the location and vineyard stay. We pulled up in our taxi after an hour drive from the airport - not sure where to check in - as it needs a bit of signage. dragged our bags up to reception and up the steps - while a few of the staff where sitting there watching us as they sipped their wine. barely got a hello from them and then got told ””be with you in a moment” - when there was no-one else there except for us. Then a receptionist came out from around the back somewhere and barely greeted us. only really worried about our credit card - which accommodation had already been paid for months in advance. our friends were coming in later that night too and was worried about their credit card and that reception was shutting soon and no body was going to be there. Didn't really explain anything to us - no mention of wine tasting or anything that was on offer. We didn't even really get told where our room was so had to ask which way to go to our room. Did not see one person for the 4 days we were there. It is a fantastic place- just a little more service and hospitality would be nice - as you are paying a good price to stay there - it just took the shine off a little. otherwise would of been 5 stars.
