I recently stayed at Abode Canterbury and overall found it to be a very satisfying experience. From the moment I arrived, the warm welcome at reception set the tone — the staff were courteous, professional and genuinely helpful, which made checking-in effortless.
The hotel’s location is outstanding: right in the heart of Canterbury, with major landmarks, shops and restaurants all within a short stroll

This hotel is in a good location convenient to visit the famous tourist attractions. However the bathroom is so tiny you can hardly turn around or space to put personal toiletry items. There’s no Do not disturb sign, we got woken by by cleaner knocking the door around 9 ish very annoying.
Will not recommend this hotel.

We stayed 2 nights and had a hire car. The hotel had a car park which they charge £25 a night, had limited parks available and insecure.
When we arrived we were told that the car park was full and we would have to park at the local car park which was an 8 minute walk. The staff couldn’t tell us what the charge would be except it would be expensive.
The person who checked me in assumed I was married and to a woman. I corrected them and said my travel companion was my partner.
Not a great experience with staff. Turns out the local car park was cheaper than parking at the hotel. Only €21.20 for 2 nights.
Disappointing that the staff gave us wrong information. They should know better and be informative and also not make assumptions.
The hotel was central and Canterbury was walkable.
The room was roomy and comfortable.
