Unsatisfied. Filthy. Do not recommend. There was used dental floss tied to the shower head, shower was dirty had hair everywhere, dirt and dust on the soap bottles by the sink, carpets had stains all over them, dirt and dust throughout the entire room, the lock was broken on the room door, the bedding looked dirty, the room was disgusting! The ice machine was out of order, there was an elevator out of order, the elevator was loud and dirty. The staff was nice although, when reaching out to management regarding the uncleanliness there was no response. Staff was the best part our stay it’s too bad the room was so gross otherwise we would’ve stayed there again.

The internet stopped working during the night, and the fridge froze much of the food we put in it. Breakfast was so-so.

I chose this hotel for its proximity to JMU. AVOID IT! We stayed for a night- just needed somewhere to rest and shower before heading to the university for an event that was very early the next day. So long story short son and I get about 7 hours of sleep and get up to shower. SHOWER HEAD WAS BROKEN. Like not working not even a trickle. To the front desk clerks credit he opened up the room next door so we could at least shower. However, they didn’t have maintenance around at 6:40 am to address or fix the issue. My takeaway test all faucets to make sure they work and there’s hot water- no matter how exhausted I am.

I needed a place to stay mid-trip and selected Hampton Inn based on my previous experiences. But, this particular property needs updating. It does not feel or look like an HHonors hotel. Having said that staff was very nice.

The room was so dirty. The carpeting needs replacing. There were tears, dirty spots and even blood stains. I couldn’t use the phone in the room to call downstairs because there was so much grime on the phone. Walls in the rooms were beat up. The hallway not much better. Obviously whoever owns the place takes zero pride.

Frustrating to have made a king reservation…call to confirm our room was still available when we were running late only to arrive to double beds.

They overbooked our room. Got here at 11:30pm and now just starting to clean room. Having to wait 20-30 minutes to clean. We drove 4 hours for this????

The room was clean and well lit. It was a tough week and weekend, however, for Hampton Inn. A busy week they didn't seem to be prepared for. Internet service was down which meant delays in checking in and guests had to be walked to their room and let in. The room was supposed to have a microwave but didn't and I was told there were none available. My only option was to buy one to use in the room. The refrigerator didn't work correctly, maintaining a tepid temperature in lieu of cold. The batteries in the tv remote were dead. I went to the front desk to get replacement batteries. The replacement batteries were dead. The next day, I asked for and received two more batteries from the front desk. Those batteries were dead as well. The next day, I finally specifically asked for **new** batteries. The ice machine wasn't working but there was no sign indicating that.

The bed was hard and uncomfortable. The room was too small and the layout terrible.
