The Chateau at Lake la Quinta Reviews

First, everyone we encountered was nice and accommodating. Check-in was easy, I was surprised to receive an actual key, rather than a key card. The room was ok. The first night I discovered our a/c wasn't working, the manager tried to fix it but was unable to, and she comped the resort fee. Carpeting throughout is in need of replacement, and there is no elevator to our second floor room; the front desk attendant offered to help with the luggage. Location is good, close to Indian Wells tennis and Costco. We didn't try the food at the restaurant, so I can't comment on the quality. We did check out the happy hour menu that has some appealing options. Parking is limited, but there is additional parking across the street in a commercial lot.

This place is lovely - the grounds and the room too. The bed was very comfortable and the staff was very nice. I did not eat at the restaurant, so I cannot comment on that. I was surprised there was no microwave in the room.

Our room was not in the building. It was like a motel and a separate area. TV did not work. Air-conditioning very noisy. No view of the lake. Staff very friendly place was very clean so I cannot fault them for that. Would not stay there again.

Loved our stay here!! The staff was so friendly and accommodating and the property was so charming. The restaurant was incredible as well. Will definitely be staying here again next time we come to La Quinta.

Our visit to La Quinta was a quick one and the Château was centrally located. This is a quaint hotel and our go to next time we are in the area.

Hotel is lovely. Restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesdays. Pool is closed currently too. Very nice room and pretty setting close to everything in La Quinta.

Stayed two nights for the American Express Golf tournament in January. The bed was comfortable the pillows ok. The room and bathroom was specious. We had a very yummy breakfast with exceptional service in the restaurant. Every single staff member was engaging and very friendly. It seemed to be slow but the staff kept busy polishing mirrors, cleaning and taking care of the hotel. It is a 10-15 minute drive to PGA West and within walking distance to target and a movie theater. My husband and I loved this little hotel and will definitely be back.

I strongly recommend the bungalows. They are great! We had a balcony right on the lake, a cute fireplace and plenty of room. A very nice stay

Very nice boutique hotel in great location right by a lake, clean, quiet, friendly and efficient staff, great food at the restaurant sharing the space (scallops!!). All done super well-

Beautiful location, easy to get to. Good restaurants nearby. Theatre around the corner. Great place.

The hotel is a nice and affordable option but nothing that was very impressive or luxurious. I think I expected more based on the name and way it's marketed. Things that were nice was the complimentary sparkling wine upon check-in and a little personalized Christmas card since my husband and I stayed there on Christmas night. The things I really didn't like about the stay was the fact that the pillows and bedding seemed very worn and there was only one bathroom towel even though I booked my stay for two people and one of the robes provided in the bathroom seemed pretty old. We had a lake view room which was nice but the only curtains provided were the blackout kind (no sheer option) so we could only enjoy the view if we wanted to be totally exposed to the walking path by the lake otherwise it was totally covered. Overall I'd give it a 3/5 stay experience.

Everyone was so friendly and made us feel special. The view of the lake was gorgeous and it even had friendly black swans!
