In conversation with the owner who enquired ETA. I was whatsapping that my flight was on time. That I landed and was in transit. That I needed assistance with my luggage. Especially as it was on a high floor after a lengthy travel. Got there and literally no one was there to greet me. Just a WhatsApp or phone call. We had booked a reservation for dinner and had to hoik the suitcases upstairs ourselves. I had a bad back from travelling. Was told they are not 24/7. Even after I was diligent with time of arrival. It felt very cold and unfriendly. Luckily only one night and we stayed in Cuitadella for less in a hotel that trips over itself to help you. A perfect antidote. Unless you are happy with no concierge or welcome on arrival avoid

Second hotel from Ignasi, the passionate owner of Ses Sucreres, in Minorca as well. Very cosy feel as home hotel in the centre of Mahon. Decorated with a lot of attention and "petits machins ici et là". Very artistic, creative and fun. Mahon was way more interesting as expected, and worth a few days. We highly recommend!

Quirky!
This hotel is quirky!
Its well located for Mahon.
We had a car - if i revisited i wouldn’t as parking is a nightmare.
The room was large but had a kind of ikea / youth hostel / shabby-chic vibe. It was spotlessly clean.
The breakfast- v good.
Ignasi the manager/host is an absolute delight and very helpful.

Excellent hotel in every way: comfortable, cosy, central, well cared for decoration, exquisite service...everything makes you feel welcome. The owner, Ignasi, is always willing to help and introduce you to Menorcan culture. Hard to find fault with it. The best thing, the warmth of the owner and the place. Pilar & Gareth

We stayed here as a family and found the hotel very interesting, so much fun with lots of games in the basement and free treats if you get hungry. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. I would highly recommend it for a trip to Mahon.

It's hard to find words to express the quality of Hotel Hevresac and Ignasi's kindness. The place is historical, modern, really beautiful... It's an amazing mix of everything. Perfectly located in the city downtown, the beds are really confortable, it's quiet, the local soaps smell really good. Huge diversity of options for your breakfirst, served with smile, and the common spaces make you feel like home. Ignasi, the owner of the place is a delight: really open minded, he knows the island, can give advise about touristic sites, about local products, he will answer every question you may have. Moreover, he speaks Spanish and Catalan, of course, but English, and his French is perfect. So if you come from France, and that languages are not your thing, that a fixed problem. I won't even bother trying to find another place to stay when I will go back to Mahon. Thank you so much!

A really wonderful place to stay . Its like staying in someones beautiful home with your own private space. Every detail has been thought of and it is quite perfect in my eyes. It is so peaceful so calm such a lovely atmosphere. I travel a lot and this is absolutely at the top of my list. It is grand in its way as the building is grand but everything is there for a purpose . No pretension no waste. The owner and the staff could not have done more to make my stay the best possible experience. My only regret is that I did not stay longer but I was on my way to another destination. I will most certainly return .
