Hotels near Church of Our Lady before Týn, Prague

It is conveniently located opposite the left MRT station. 15 minutes to the Charles Bridge. It is worth mentioning that there is a great value Italian restaurant downstairs. I will stay in Prague next time.

The hotel location is very convenient. It was not long before I walked the subway and it was close to the shopping street, but when I went in mid-September there was no air-conditioning. . Ordered three people without quilt, then went to another quilt

The hotel is just off the Old Town Square in Prague. The tour is very convenient and you can walk anywhere. The room is large, there is a bathtub and the facilities are very complete. The windows of the room are soundproof, but the downstairs is not as noisy as tourists. The breakfast was very good and the meal was very laid back. You can walk to the train station and drag the box for only about 20 minutes.

Beautiful large room and large bed. Excellent breakfast. Great dining room and bar. Exceptional value. Careful if you use the hotels taxi to the airport.

The Dominican hotel is a nice hotel in a very good position in the center. But The hotel staff is rather inefficient and not courteous. But more serious thing they charged us an absolutely not due expense on the credit card, even after acknowledging in writing that it was a mistake. Be careful of all charges charged by this hotel, we still haven’t managed to get our money back!!

We stayed U Cerneho Slona (at the Cerny Slon) June 7 to June 16. It is hard to know where to begin with this review. Our room on the first floor (American = second floor) was far too small for two people. There was not enough space to hang up clothes, to store other sorts of clothes, or (by far) in the bathroom to accommodate all the things that a couple needs. Also, there was no air conditioning - not that we expected it, for it is rare in Central Europe - but only a portable fan. This was adequate, but the windows had to be closed at night, when we would have preferred them to be open, because of the drunken mobs ebbing and flowing and yelling from the Old Town Square (Staromestske Namesti). The hotel's website claims that it offers 24-hour turnaround for laundry service. This is either a flat-out falsehood, or else the staff is fatally uninformed. I was told by every one of the four people of the reception staff that there was no laundry service whatever. When pressed on the subject, one receptionist gave us the address of some kind of laundry in Josefov which purported to be open from Monday through Friday from nine to five, but which would not pick up or deliver. An expedition to Josefov would have cost an entire day, which to boot would have to have been a weekday. The hotel claims to have dry-cleaning service available. In view of their performance on the laundry question, I very much doubt this. However, fortunately we were not in need of such services. Let me proceed to the reception personnel. This consisted of three ladies and one man. The ladies were the soul of courtesy. The man, I had a great deal of difficulty with, as follows. All of these people were afflicted with the curse of not knowing what they were doing. None of them possessed, or knew how to find, any information we needed., They were barely capable of summoning a taxi, which strikes me as the very least that a hotel staffer should be capable of doing. However, the ladies did their very best, and I wish them will. The man, I will curse for a different reason. Due to logistical considerations, I arrived from the United States one day before my companion arrived from Belgium. This churl (name readily available on request) took it upon himself to ask me, eagerly, whether the lady arriving was my wife or my girlfriend. Granted, the United States is perhaps not the most refined nation on earth; nonetheless, if I were running any kind of hospitality establishment in this country I would have fired this varlet on the spot. I might add that the simplest inquiry tendered to him elicited a ten-minute rambling, almost incomprehensible response which amounted to ”I have no idea.” This worthy did, however, have the best command of English in the building. At first, I was a bit worried about what would happen to Prague because of the dissolution of friendly relations with Shanghai. The results are all thoughtful, the hotel service staff was very good, and the beauties at the door were smiling every day when they went in and out. A tall uncle will be very helpful in getting luggage. The hotel is a European-style building with a great sense of age. Unfortunately, when staying at the elevator, there will be a lot of guests passing by the hotel, and there will be a net red rooftop upstairs. The hotel breakfast is simple but the taste is ok. The hotel is in a good location. It doesn't have the infrastructure to deserve four stars. Furniture is old. Even though we stayed for two nights, the cleaning staff did not clean the room until we left the hotel. The very tall and thin receptionist girl, who I think has just started a job, behaved like a secret police to the tourist coming from Turkey. Despite the fact that we have special passports and stamps of about thirty European Union countries, she persistently asked for visas at the entrance to the hotel with a police style. When we checked out of the hotel, she did not allow us to leave the hotel without obtaining the address of our next accommodation, which could cause a diplomatic crisis (since I have diplomatic mission visas). His approach to us was ignorant as befits racists. Ignorance as a contagious disease appeared in this hotel after the covid pandemic. People who should not be employed without training, unfortunately, in return for cheap labor, are employed in places such as tourism that contribute to the country's income and undermine this sector.
