Wow, this hotel is a hidden treasure! This was our first hotel on our China trip, and what an amazing experience. The hotel is located inside the walled area under The First Pass Under Heaven. Our room was beautiful with a window of the courtyard. You can practice your calligraphy in your room, which is fun. All the staff are fantastic. They are very kind and helpful, and although we couldn't speak Chinese, the staff had a fantastic app that made things easy. Do visit the on-site museum where you can try the arts. The breakfast was Chinese style and delicious. This hotel was perfect! Thank you for having us.

Convenient access, close to Shanhaiguan, and a treasure trove of guesthouses within the scenic area! Booking this guesthouse was the best choice for this trip! · Perfect location: Right inside the scenic area, you can always come back to rest when you're tired. Shanhaiguan is just a few minutes' walk away, making it super convenient for exploring the ancient city! · Incredible service: The owner was warm and welcoming, providing detailed instructions from check-in to travel guides. He was always responsive and felt like a friend. · Perfect experience: Quiet amidst the hustle and bustle, I slept soundly at night. The grounds are beautifully maintained, the rooms are clean and tidy, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting Shanhaiguan; it's an absolute value for money!

Overall, it was quite good. 1. The hotel ground floor, restaurant, and rooms were all very clean, which gave me peace of mind. 2. The location is good; it's right next to the high-speed rail station and not far from tourist attractions, about 1km away. 3. The service was excellent. They even called to remind us when the high-speed rail station was closed, and the receptionist gave us hand cream when we left. 4. The breakfast selection was only about a dozen items, not a huge variety, but the quality was very good; every dish was excellent. There were also some shortcomings: 1. The superior twin room was a bit small, similar to hotels in Japan. If that's a concern, I recommend booking a business room. 2. The soundproofing wasn't great. The noise from the high-speed rail station wasn't a big issue, but you could hear other rooms opening and closing doors.

The room is very spacious, the bathroom is separated from wet and dry, and the bathroom is complete. The reception is warm, the parking is convenient, and the cleaning aunt on the third floor is warm and thoughtful. The surrounding facilities are complete and the dining is rich.

The location was fantastic for entrance to the ancient city. Just a short cab ride from Old Dragon Head. Nice hotel with very spacious rooms. Breakfast was decent for the price.

This was the best day of my four-day trip. The sanitation was excellent, the facilities were new, and all were high-quality products. The breakfast was handmade and not pre-made. Overall, the evaluation was good.

It was such an unique experience to stay in a hotel inside the ancient city wall, it felt like travelled back to China in the olden days. As it was off-peak season when we visited 山海关，we were upgraded to a family room, which mean there is a separate bedroom with a single bed, on top of a master room with a double bed. As it was rather cold and we were tired from all the walking, we decided to make life easy by eating at the restaurant within the hotel. We didn't expect much though. But..., we were much much more than surprise the dishes were Ace standard, be it in presentation or taste! A big big thumb up! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. All in all, we really enjoyed the service extended to us! It is no doubt hotel staff in China places their guests at top priority, making them feel at home at all times. P.S the teapot was not filled with tea but a yummilicious 松茸汤。
