The twin room I booked was not available, so I was given two rooms. The hot water in the room was good and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was a disaster, only the ice eggs and ice milk were edible.

For an older property it's very well put together. It's walkable to restaurants in town. Clean, tidy, very cozy, very polite staff. Drinking at the bar was a little expensive but whatever, I guess it's incentive for me to drink less. My only gripe, and it seems pretty minor, is that there was only one table for a continental breakfast. It might have worked a little better if they opened up the bigger dining area but I guess they didn't anticipate too many patrons on a weekday. Otherwise, very comfortable, very cozy place to stay.

The room was comfortable and tastefully decorated. The carpet and bathroom could use some updating. Very inviting common area with a fire burning in the evening. Coffee and tea available, with complementary wine in the late afternoon.

The room was pretty and the bed very comfortable. The complimentary wine and chocolates are a nice touch not found often. The bathroom showed some wear and tear- some mold spots in the shower and peeling wallpaper where it meets the tile.the breakfast is sufficient but not specia, and the coffee not the best. But, the warm and helpful staff snd the cozy vibes make it a place I am happy to return to.

What a beautiful old inn! The grounds were immaculate and beautifully decorated for the December holidays complete with a wood fire outside in the evening. Three couches were placed around the indoor gas fireplace and with complimentary wine it was quite cozy indeed. All personnel, whether front desk or in the tavern, were friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately we were unable to visit the restaurant this time. Next time, however, it will be a goal to eat there. The room was large, spacious and well-decorated. The only minor criticism was that there was peeling paint on the ceiling and a rather large gap separating the ceiling from the wall. Both are not surprising given the fact that the inn is over two hundred years old. We will absolutely revisit the inn in the not-too-distant future.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved the cozy and historical aesthetic. The room was large and comfortable but we loved walking around the town visiting shops and restaurants during the day and then relaxing by the fire, both indoors and out, after dinner. Would definitely stay there again.

24 hour, coffee, tea, hot cocoa bar next to a cozy fireplace. Property was well-maintained and charming!

A wonderful place to stay for a nearby family wedding. Small, intimate and very quiet. The staff was welcoming and very friendly.

Although lacking in a few room amenities it is a enjoyable old New England hotel.

So quaint! I love the history with this beautiful inn! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I felt like I was staying at friend's house. There are many walkable options for dining and coffee and the inn even offers bikes to use. LOVE LOVE LOVE! I will stay here each time I visit.

Disappointing. Unkempt. Not a true Bed and Breakfast when all they offer you is a continental breakfast, that you have to pay an extra $40.00 for!!. Room was nice, but that's about it.

A hybrid hotel/B&B -- nice concept, but not fully realized. Great location, but bathroom is too small (no counter by the sink) and our room just didn't seem super clean (a charging station was dusty and full of bugs, carpet didn't feel clean), breakfast area could have been better laid out -- 5 people in a row couldn't figure out how to use their "pod" coffee machine, spend a few bucks and buy a Keurig or a Nespresso machine for heavens sake! Bar/Restaurant in the same building was very loud! Typical additional charges and fees.

Historic hotel was lovely to visit. Some furnishings were in disrepair.. bed linens were worn with some holes; a bit disappointing. But overall the location and history more than made up for it.
