The hotel was in a good position.
Breakfast was make your own in your room, it would have been good if there was milk in the room available.
The shower door and toilet needed a good clean it was filthy.
The only towel in the room was a hand towel.
I got up at approx 7:30 am, no one was around for me to ask for Milk or a Bath Towel.

The beds were clean the bath was new and very clean the breakfast was good there was wi-fi

Inadequate breakfast in bedrooms. Useless shower. Not warned that restaurant and bar would be closed. Everything tired and not particularly clean

Very welcoming and friendly host. Clean room, comfy bed, diy breakfast in room (toast/cereal/yogurt/tea/coffee/juice) which suited us fine. Quiet location on edge of town. Stamford is a beautiful town to explore on foot. We stayed for one night whilst attending a nearby sports event. Would happily stay here again.

Stayed for a four day break. Ideally situated for public transport. Train station a five minute walk away, bus station approx 10 minutes via the common. Very quiet location. Excellent host. Didn't eat in restaurant but menu looked good. Lovely market town with plenty of restaurants and bars. Would definitely stop at Candlesticks again.

Lovely place to stay. Cheap and cheerful, but has everything you need and Stamford is such a beautiful town. Don't expect the Ritz, but you're not paying Ritz prices. It's perhaps a bit dated but that's cosmetic. It's clean, comfortable, quiet, with everything you could need and a very friendly host to boot. Would definitely stay here again.
