Firstly, the bellmen were fantastic! We appreciated the rides and the help with bags. The concierge was also very friendly and helpful. I was underwhelmed by the front desk and had to ask for help with a matter multiple times. Our room was also extremely hot and they didn’t have a solution other than to open the window. In theory this would be fine, but with freezing temperatures, it wasn’t a comfortable option. The room and bathroom felt dated. As is the lobby. The pool and spa area is nice but I was hoping the pool would be warmer. Overall, I think the hotel is overpriced for what it offers as it’s closer to a 4 star.

This is my second stay at the Sohn hotel in Vail Village in Colorado and it has been absolutely wonderful so much so that I extended my stay an extra day! The staff the restaurants make having a short stay or long one to remember! The overall experience is great! The spa is absolutely divine and all of their service specialist are well skilled and professional.

this hotel is charming and cozy while still being luxurious. it has a perfectly developed aesthetic. the staff was very accommodating without my even asking them for favors. id stay here again and again

It was convenient with overall good quality. The living room furniture in the one bedroom was a small love sofa....needs additional seating

From "check in" to "check out", every aspect of our stay was exemplary! We were warmly welcomed and ushered to our room. The suite was very spacious and sparkling clean. Complimentary ice, bottled water, and cookies were brought to our room shortly after our "check in". I can't imagine a better place to stay in Vail!

Beautiful property in a beautiful location. The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. I ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Both meals were wonderful. I am not a fan of the European style heavy duvets without a top sheet. In my opinion, this decreases quality of sleep. Also, a lot of added fees and costs. I had an overall very positive experience.

The property was far enough off of the main village streets that it was quiet inside, but easily walkable to everything with our toddler. Plus the shuttle stop was steps away. The hotel was quaint and very nice - large closet, bathroom and fireplace in our Jr suite! Staff was extremely helpful and the breakfast buffet is a must! My one tiny complaint was the mattress and pillows were pretty uncomfortable, but maybe a personal preference.

my wife had surgery and we stayed here 5 nights and the staff was outstanding and the hotel is the best in Vail village.

The Sonnenalp exceeded our expectations in many ways. The staff is incredible throughout the property, the room was comfortable, quaint and clean. And, breakfast at Ludwigs was delicious and the glass enclosed terrace was really inviting. We had a great stay. This is a 5 star hotel for sure!

The staff was friendly and exceeded our expectations and very hospitable. The spa was very nice and the breakfast buffet delicious. The rooms were comfortable. Definitely a great place to stay in Vail!
