Fantastic, fun hotel in the heart of The Big Apple; simple but fully equipped, and with incredibly kind and helpful staff. All rooms are named after old Hollywood stars and feature movie posters, a very nice touch. The Metto is 30 meters away. Close to Greenwich Village. I think it's great, and very affordable by New York standards too; I would love to go back!
